I just discovered that there's a Korean show from 1999 called Happy Together and IF THIS ISN'T YOUNG IN-HO AND BABY JUN-HO 😭😭😭

Hwang Jun-Ho is one of the least predictable characters for me because the show's gone out of the way to mirror the brothers and show just how Similar they are, except for the fact that they're on different sides.

From a Jun-Ho development perspective, i'd love to see him unable to turn his brother, and have to pick.

And Jun-Ho has a dilemma here. He can either sacrifice his love for his brother, who is doing heinous things and fully renounce that. Or he can sacrifice his principles, embrace his brother, and prove himself susceptible to the horrors his brother commits.

Because Jun-Ho has some danger signs (a Lot like his brother from a purely mode of operating perspective, I think if we want to know what a young in-ho acted like, we should be looking at his brother) But he also genuinely is morally abhorred by this utter nonsense.

I would love it if the show Made him pick and commit to the consequences of either choice. Even if he doesn't actually end up facing the consequences because something happens that stops it, i'd love for him to have to make that decision.

Because while Jun-Ho was disgusted and appalled by the squid game, he also wants his brother (while he's not Said it in S2, the scenes with his mother are meant to show us beyond a shadow of a doubt that his brother still holds immense importance to him) and since Jun-Ho has literally nobody to confide in, we, the audience, do not know if his primary motivation for not letting this all go and moving on is either moral obligation to stop this or the need to find his brother.

Him not mentioning that the frontman is his brother is Very interesting, but it could either be from a place of protecting In-Ho or maybe he's so mad at him that He wants to be the one to tear a piece out of him. I mean, option A is far more likely in the end, but maybe even Jun-Ho doesn't know what he wants. He seems genuinely mad that their mother is left confused and scared and guilty over In-Ho, and he's Not mad at his mom, he's mad at his brother.

(I also ngl think that part of his choice to not mention that it's his brother in charge is that he needs to be part of their operation, and they'd never trust him if they knew. In the end, he'd have No way to predict that this could have had negative consequences because who on earth thinks of In-Ho voluntarily going back into the murder games??).

I would just really love it if the narrative was mean enough to make this guy have to pick either his brother Or his morals, no way out, one or other.

Because people are out here assuming that Gi-Hun is like In-Ho, when they're displaying polar opposite reactions to similar circumstances and make no sense to each other (well, if GiHun knew In-Ho's circumstances he would think this. He's bound to find out eventually anyway).

Jun-ho and In-Ho on the other hand are Very similar, and I really want to see how strong Jun-Ho's convictions are.

Does anyone else ever remember that the Recruiter wears a hidden camera to record players being recruited & that he showed up to Gi-hun's hideout with an invitation card specifically meant for Gi-hun - thus carrying the implication that he was acting in his Recruiting role during the russian roulette scene -

and subsequently crack up yet again at the thought of In-ho watching that whole scene go down via live feed and having approximately a dozen aneurysms over his inability to do anything about the absolute fucking nonsense his favorite player and best Recruiter are blithely engaged in since he's just watching it all happen on a screen and is too far away to intervene?

Or is that just me?

"In-ho will sacrifice himself to save Jun-ho and Gi-hun and stop the game in season 3" okay but what if Gi-hun proved to In-ho that people were good by saving In-ho, despite everything In-ho had done? What if saving In-ho against In-ho's will was the revenge Gi-hun orchestrated? And In-ho got to live knowing he was wrong and Gi-hun was right. Because people were good. Because Gi-hun didn't let the game turn him into a monster. Because Gi-hun didn't let the game corrupt him the way it did In-ho.

And in the end Gi-hun won

When an intruder (Junho) easily got in 3 years ago and shook the ENTIRE ISLAND, you would think that they’d tighten their security 10-fold.

like, my man wrote fire songs, could play more instruments than i have books in my apartment (i am a very avid reader) and also just couldn't be bothered™? he's never even close to giving a fuck, he tagged along with queen because he thought it would be fun and didn't expect them to blow up, he's actually freaky and had no qualms sharing that publicly on more than one occasion, finished his degree with basically standing ovations while playing for queen, fucked right off the face of the earth whenever he felt like it, had vibes going during every single queen concert (having the time of his life, dancing queen) in his own little universe.
