Because hot people don't have to learn how to be interesting to compensate for anything, they get things because they're hot
“You know when, sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later, they’re as dull as a brick? Then there’s other people, and you meet them and you think, ‘Not bad; they’re okay.’ And then you get to know them, and their face sort of becomes them, like their personality is written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful.”

Ranking Books in the Mick Riva-Verse
Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favourite authors, and the Mick Riva-verse is a fantastic collection of standalones. While I love all 4, I wanted to make a ranking of them. Do let me know your opinions (respectfully, of course)!
4.Daisy Jones and the Six

Let's be clear, I really love this book. I know it's probably TJR's most devisive in the Mick Riva-verse, but I thought the format is really clever and the characters felt so real. I will admit, I preferred the series slightly more
3.Carrie Soto Is Back

The most recent installment and my current read as of right now. I'll admit, I didn't like Carrie Soto when she appeared in Malibu Rising, but reading her story made me understand her a lot more. I adore the father-daughter dynamic and how it shows the cost of ambition, I'm not even a sports fan and this made me want to play tennis again - I haven't done that since P.E class!
2.Malibu Rising

I see this one getting a lot of flack, which is a shame because it's fantastic! The characters have amazing dynamics and are individually just as strong, not to mention the themes of family and self-identification make this an underrated read
1.The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo

This may be the obvious choice, but it's popular for a good reason. It's beautifully written with flawed, realistic characters, it's one of those books that stayed with me long after I read it

My Top 5 Painters 5/5 - Mariusz Lewdanowski They are characterized by an impressive play of light, color, space and contrast. Although the artist titles his paintings, he does not explain their meaning. Thanks to that, you can let your imagination run free, immersing yourself in a reality so different from the one we deal with every day.

My Top 5 Painters 4/5 - Edward Hopper
Always reluctant to discuss himself and his art, Hopper simply said, "The whole answer is there on the canvas." Hopper was stoic and fatalistic—a quiet introverted man with a gentle sense of humor and a frank manner. Hopper was someone drawn to an emblematic, anti-narrative symbolism

My Top 5 Painters 3/5 - Claude Monet
Monet has been described as the driving force behind Impressionism. Crucial to the art of the Impressionist painters was the understanding of the effects of light on the local colour of objects, and the effects of the juxtaposition of colours with each other. His free flowing style and use of colour have been described as almost etheral and the epitome of impressionist style

Books That Feel Like Movies
As much as I am a book lover, I also have a deep appreciation for film. I often hear people describe books as "cinematic", and I wanted to share some novels I've read that I think fit the bill
NOTE: Cinematic doesn't necessarily mean there's a movie of it yet, these are just books that made me feel like I was watching a film
The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
One of the most gorgeously written books of the modern era, TSHOEH is one of Jenkins Reid's best. Truly worth every bit of hype and more, this powerful and emotional book is a must-read
Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
For fans of classic literature, Wuthering Heights is perfect if you want a book that feels like a stunning motion-picture. In fact, it's one that I'd love to see director Todd Haynes take on, I feel like he'd do remarkable things with it. The prose is wonderful, you can see and feel everything right along with the characters
Ink by Alice Broadway
Broadway's Skin trilogy is unfairly underrated (I still need to read the third installment), I implore people to give it a try. Not only are the covers beautiful, the story is wonderfully told and every character feels so real
They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera
This one isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I really love it. Not only are the characters well-rounded and easy to root for, the descriptions and prose is magnificent - I hope this one gets an adaptation at some point!
Ace Of Spades by Faridah Àbìkè-Íyímídé
A gripping and thought-provoking thriller with lots of fantastic representation, this felt like a full-on series and I loved every moment of it. It's another one that I'd love to see be brought to screen. The way it's written makes it rich with filming potential

My Top 5 Painters 2/5 - Yves Tanguy
Tanguy's paintings have a unique, immediately recognizable style of nonrepresentational surrealism. They show vast, abstract landscapes, mostly in a tightly limited palette of colors, only occasionally showing flashes of contrasting color accents. Typically, these alien landscapes are populated with various abstract shapes, sometimes angular and sharp as shards of glass, sometimes with an intriguingly organic look to them, like giant amoebae suddenly turned to stone
