If you're a fantasy writer, this is your chance to attend Fantasy Writers' Week, presented by ProWritingAid, where you'll hear from NY Times best-selling authors, attend workshops on creating magical systems, and learn how to write fantasy romance that sells! You'll also be able to connect with other fantasy authors through this better-than-ever fantasy writers' event.
I'll be there, and so will my client who sent me this link. Register now and reserve your spot. It begins tomorrow.

I know we're almost a week into January, so pardon my tardiness. Beginning this year, my website's landing page will feature a different client each month.
In honor of our decade-long author-editor relationship, my very first client, Aubrey Graves, is "January 2022 Client of the Month." This paranormal investigator lives in Santa Cruz County in California, where she has written several books recounting her empathic journey between the land of the living and the land of the dead.

A lot of us are working from home this year, and we may not have the ideal ergonomic setup we had at our workplaces.
For those of us who sit in front of a screen for a good portion of the day, here are some helpful tips to remember as we go about our days.

It helps identify Karen's parents separately from JT & Dr. Ruth, instead of identifying her parents 𝑎𝑠 JT & Dr. Ruth. 🤦‍♀️

Well, this is oddly specific and a tad disconcerting. Where are the commas? 😦

What is a dangling modifier? A misplaced modifier? And why is there a dog 🦮? 🤷‍♀️
Do I need to know? The short answer is yes.

One small mistake like this can cost a company millions.
I am a big fan of the Oxford comma. It completely eliminates ambiguity, leaving a reader satisfied with what he or she has read instead of questioning the content.
This company didn't fix their mistake with a comma, though. 🤔
