Captain Marvel, Vol. 1: In Pursuit of Flight
Captain Marvel, Vol. 1: In Pursuit of Flight
Written by: Kelly Sue Deconnick
Illustrated by: Dexter Soy and Emma Rios
Published by: Marvel on Comixology
I’ve always been interested in Carol Danvers, she’s a strong woman with a cause and super powers without any fear to use them. It’s a good thing to have her working with Captain America in the opening scenes, then heading off on her own to…

Thor Vs Hulk Champions of the Universe
Written by: Jeremy Whitley
Art by: Alti Firmansyah
Cover by: Dan Mora
Published by: Comixology Exclusive
I don’t normally follow the more popular comic books, but it is interesting to see Comixology come out with exclusives for some of the Marvel characters that are popular, and featured in many of the movies. This seems more like a mashup with a few odds and ends thrown in for good measure,…

Zenescope Grimm Fairy Tales has been around for a very long time, and is a perennial classic when it comes to comic book adaptations of the original fairy tales that you might have grown up with. Adventure Time by Ryan North
Adventure Time by Ryan North
Writer: Ryan North
Illustrated by: Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb
Published by KaBOOM!
This comic is somewhat like a fevered dream and a child’s adventure fun time, and all around a lot of fun for kids and adults. I’m sure many adults have graduated to Rick and Morty, but this is one of those comics to help 8+ kids learn to read and learn to love sequential art.…

Quince is a lot of fun. The basic premise of this is that when Lupe turns 15, she gets super hero powers, but just for her 15th year. When she turns 16 all the super powers go away and she returns to her mundane life. Of course, raising a 15 year old with super hero powers can…

If you have little ones around, there is no comparison to My Little Pony when it comes to capturing their attention, and in some cases Pinky Pie falling out of the sky and totally tripping your three year old worried that Pinky Pie is gonna die. The comic book makes for a nice interchange between the TV series,…

Judge Dredd Mega City Zero
Judge Dredd Mega City Zero
Written by Ulises Farinas and Erick Freitas
Art by Ulises Farinas and Dan McDaid
It’s not often I gush over a comic book, but the new incarnation of Judge Dredd has a lot to offer, and harkens back to the AD2000 days of art and story line. So, this is a must find it at my local comic book store book, and I’ll be happy to have this in my own paper collection. I think they really did tap the old…

Rachel Rising by Terry Moore
Rachel Rising by Terry Moore
Rachel Rising
Art and Writing by Terry Moore
An interesting murder mystery with nicely done horror overtones along the way. What happens when you wake up in a shallow grave and can’t remember what happened the night before, or that three days have actually passed since you last remember anything? Then you find out you really can’t die, and what about the creepy kid serial killer and witches? Then…

Forbes, great place to go visit that I can’t go visit anymore. I use an ad blocker because at one point my super hot and capable computer was absolutely choking trying to open up web pages. The ad blocker solved that problem for me, and a few hundred thousand blocked ads later my performance issues with my computer have gone away.
Now this is where forbes comes in, and anywhere that soft walls a computer that is using an ad blocker. I used it because of performance, and there is no content you could provide me that would even have me think of white listing the web site. Not going to happen. So what I’ll do is google the subject line, and read the article at a site that does not mind I use an ad blocker. See, all forbes is doing is having me go to somewhere else to read their article. This works for all sites that soft block people using ad blockers. I’ll google the subject line and go read it somewhere else. Sorry forbes, this was a wasted impression. I love your articles, but not enough to pay for them, and not enough to turn off my ad blocker.

So, not only do I need to learn python, but I need to get a USB hub, and then binge watch TV. Good lord who watches TV anymore? Isn’t that what Netflix is for, youtube? Anyone here really use TV anymore? Unlikely to watch TV any time soon, let alone binge watch anything. Who is vanity fair anyways? Anyone know who they are?

Well, now “they” know I use a Mac, but not really all that interested in USB hubs. It doesn’t matter what computer I use, windows or Mac USB hubs have a spotty performance if and when they work at all. Not likely to purchase another thing to clutter up my desk anyways so I can plug more crap into my computer. Keep the lines clean. Not likely to purchase this item ever.

So yesteday’s theme with facebook was all about therapy, slacking, and my grammar being pathetic. Today seems a bit more interesting in that today I need to learn and buy things. I’ve noticed that facebook ads seem to go in daily themes rather than just being simply random in their approach. I could be wrong, but we can start diving into the way that facebook presents ads based on your interests and internet use, then thematically approach how they are presented to the end user. But I’ve worked in python in the past, happily buried in the past, not to be resurrected or repeated.

First I need therapy today, then I need to watch my Grammar, now I need to become a slacker and stop being reliable at work. That would be the worst mistake of the day, we can overlook grammar errors, and we might be able to overlook mental illness (I know, there is a long sad story here), but dang if they would overlook being a slacker or non-reliable. I know it’s abilist, but hey, employers wanna make sure you show up to work if they are going to pay you.

And it is not just therapy, apparently my grammar sucks as well. Dang this is going downhill fast. No wonder some of the recent research about facebook usage indicates deep depression if spending too much time on it. I’m just a horrible person with shitty grammar and needs therapy

Facebook thinks I need therapy now. So now they are trying to hook me up with a diagnosis. Don’t really want one, I’d rather live with intermittent rage and hatred, it’s worked so far. Not too sure I want to trust a Facebook ad for a hook up on this one.
