Help Save The HMS President 1918!

HMS President 1918, one of London's historic venues and last remaining World War Ships, is in need of a new mooring.

In February 2016 the ship was moved from its historic home at Victoria Embankment to Chatham Docks in Kent where restoration is under way. Due to the upcoming Thames Tideway Project the ship is now seeking a new mooring so she can return to central London, and has been placed into a preservation charity to secure her future.

The Trustees are planning to turn the mainly corporate venue into a new exhibition and educational resource for the people of London and the UK.

The Charity is now seeking funding from corporate sponsors, private donations and heritage trusts to secure the ship's future and bring her back to Central London.

How to plan a spring wedding, according to Pinterest

Starting your new life together in the season of new beginnings? Here are some ideas to get your wedding plans blossoming...

Set the scene

The all-important aspect to every wedding is ambiance. Whether you’re inside or outside, spring is the perfect time to be at one with nature on the day. To say "I do" al fresco under a lakeside weeping willow, look no further than Stanbrook Abbey. Or if you're worried about our British weather letting you down, the Barbican Centre's tropical conservatory is a guaranteed paradise, conveniently located in the City of London.

Once the venue is decided, it's time to get creative. Craft a romantic centrepiece out of flowers and candles; lift the celebrations higher with balloons, bubbles, butterfly decorations and hanging lanterns; share out rose petals in pretty tissue paper cornets, or add an Easter twist by hiding confetti inside colourful eggshells.

He said, “The showcase gave us the chance to invite many people to our Rock Room for the first time, and from 191 RSVP’s, over 130 made it. The response from our guests was really great, and it was an absolute pleasure!”
