Not saying anyone is purposely being disrespectful but it takes 10 seconds to look up how their names are actually spelled, and if you’re going to talk about them on TikTok or whatever practice the correct pronunciations.

Just want to say something because I'm kinda worried for these upcoming episodes of Desire.

You need to leave your human morals and ethics out of Omegaverse. These characters are human but have the instincts of animals. We cannot apply our ethics to an omegaverse world. Real animals lose all sense when they smell another in heat, that is how it's going to be in this series. I've only just started reading the novel so I'm no where near this scene yet but I know about it and if it happens the same way in the series a lot of people are going to be like what the fuck is happening, and it should be coming up soon (i don't watch episode previews so idk if it's been mentioned yet). I'm worried people are going to drop the series or rate it badly because of this.

This is also not me excusing the characters doing shitty things, even in the series they're not making it out to be something that's okay, Wenlang calling Hua Yong crazy for doing this shit every chance he gets is proof of that. These are red flag characters, they are obsessive and possessive, Hua Yong will do anything to get what he wants (Shaoyou).

Leave moral judgements out this. It's not right, but this series is set in a different world than ours. They have an animalistic nature that we do not.

Alright the information has been fixed.

If you don’t know the “ABO” was removed from the series title and the country was changed from China to Taiwan, which got the series removed from Top 3 Trending. But everything is back to the way it was now.

The production company is in Taiwan but the cast, crew and authors are all Chinese, this is a Chinese BL series and should be labeled as one.

I truly hate when people say certain gay media is "made by straight people for straight people", I remember people would say that about Love Simon and someone said that about Heartstopper on twitter recently and not only does that erase the dozens of queer people that work on these stories, both on screen and off, but Heartstopper is the type of show I needed and should've been watching as a kid, not Queer As Folk. Just because you don't like certain queer media or it doesn't resonate with you does not mean it was made for straight people, it just wasn't made for you and you need to be okay with that.

I personally have outgrown the need for queer high school/teen stories, after the film comes out I probably won't engage with Heartstopper media anymore. But there will always be queer kids and teens that need these stories, stories we adults didn't get at that age. So I truly don't give a fuck if you think Heartstopper is "cringy", it's not for you, let people enjoy things.

I keep saying this but I really hope this is just the start for Chinese ql, after such a long time we're finally getting more uncensored series, despite all the bullshit we've had to go through with RL, what the actors have gone through. There's a long way to go but I hope it gets better.

Seen people confused and asking how Hua Yong passes off as an Omega. Here's an explantion and more (regarding Hua Yong's Enigma physique)

So when they generally describe pheromones in Omegaverse. All pheromones typically have a base scent like something of a flower, a fruit, or earthy natural scents. Then there is also something MORE to the scent that idenitifies the scent as belonging to an Alpha or Omega - this identification cannot be described most of the time or are described differently by different authors, but generally you can consider the feel of it being Alphas having dominating/powerful undertones while omegas have sweet/softer more alluring undertones - that is how people identify if the person is Alpha or omega by scent.

In Desire, Hua Yong's company was researching ways to suppress Hua Yong's scent because he is too powerful and normal inhibitor patches don't last very long on him. They also have developed a prototype "Scent modifier" (injections or liquids) where the undertone of the scent changes from Alpha to Omega. The base scent of orchids (Hua Yong) remian the same but the perception of it by others changes from Alpha/Enigma to Omega. (I put in Alpha/Enigma because people dont really know about Enigmas and would assume Hua Yong is an extremely powerful S Alpha if they got his actual scent). Basically a different version of Hua Yong's actual scent. So even when Hua Yong releases his scent, if he has the modifiers in his blood stream he releases an Omega version of his scent - and that is what others smell.

The modifier only being a prototype and not fully developed to safety also increases the risk of using it - which is why Hua Yong actually got sick when he increased the dosage out of jealousy. The drawbacks and the long term effects of this prototype modifier is still being researched and not fully known. He knew he would get sick but could care less, all he wants is his man. He is also very dismissive of his own body and any injuries because he has insane healing abilities and extremely high pain tolerance. His blood also has purification abilities which makes him immune or highly tolerant to poisons - which also means even if the modifiers negatively affect him, its for a short period, after which his body purifies everything and he's back to normal (atleast so far) - but the pain and side effects during that time are still REAL.

Another fun fact: Since Hua Yong's pheromones are too strong, the more he releases his pheromones, the faster he burns through the modifier dose in his blood stream. Which means that when he wants to, he can get rid of the modifier in his blood and release his actual Enigma version scent by rapidly expelling Pheromones from his glands. It depends on the rate and intensity in which he releases his pheromones (intentionally or unintentionally). The lower the intensity, the longer the pheromone modifier will last in his body giving him an Omega version scent.

Hmm I saw like two people talk about it on twitter but not so much that it’s fully incorrect but certain details aren’t right.

The contract was already signed when they started Desire.

Because it’s not usually safe for Chinese BL actors to work together on multiple projects the authors of Desire are leaving it up to the actors on what they want to do. The team is committed to the actors’ health and safety but it is up to the cast if they want to do more series together. Sasaengs were following them today so doing more series together is a safety issue not just with the gov.

Eliot and Kipuka do want to work together again, though fixed pairing is not actually in their contract, I’d say wanting to do multiple series together as a couple is basically what a couple pairing is so I don’t think it’s wrong to call them that.

Ocean and Seeky do seem undecided though??

Either way let’s just hope for the best!
