"I am Abdel-Majeed… writing to you from the heart of hunger and bombardment"
Peace be upon you, I never imagined I’d write a plea to the world like this… But today, I have no other choice.
My name is Abdel-Majeed. I’m a father to a baby girl who hasn’t even turned one šŸ‘¶, and a husband to a patient, broken-hearted wife — she has nothing left but her tears and prayers.
We are now living under a sky raining fire šŸ’„ and on a land with no food and no water šŸš«šŸ’§. Hunger is eating us alive. The shelling never stops. Even the soup kitchens have closed 🚷 — And the only hope left is in the hearts of the kind and merciful ā¤ļø.
I know the world is tired. I know everyone is struggling. But I am writing to you from deep pain — From the heart of a father with nothing left: No milk šŸ¼, no bread šŸž, not even a drop of hope.
A bag of flour here costs $600 šŸ’ø. Can you imagine?
We don’t dream of meat 🄩 or fruit šŸŽ — We just want a small piece of bread to silence my baby girl’s cries.
I cry in silence 😢 as I watch her tremble from hunger, while my wife tries to soothe her with the softest voice full of broken tenderness…
But love alone doesn’t feed. And it doesn’t protect us from the bombs šŸ’”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please… Don’t scroll past. Even $5 could be the line between life and death.
I’m not asking for the impossible. I just want to keep my family alive. To give my daughter one more day…
Please share — don’t let this post fade. Let it reach every living heart.
Save a life today. Be the hope we no longer have. ✨

šŸ’¬ Just a Small Update, and a Big Thank You
Dear friends, kind hearts, and everyone who has stood with us,
When I first opened my heart to the world and shared our story, I never imagined the amount of love and solidarity we would receive. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve now reached $12,837—a milestone that brings real light to some very dark days.
From the deepest corners of my heart, thank you.
šŸ’” A Journey of Loss, but Also of Strength
As many of you know, I’ve lost 25 of my loved ones during this devastating war. That grief lives with me every single day. It’s in the silence that once held laughter, in the empty spaces where we once gathered as a family.
But through your help, I’ve also felt something else: hope. And that hope is priceless.
ā€œ21/Oct/2023 Before It Reached Us: The Day Our Neighbor’s House Was Destroyedā€ A quiet moment of fear, filmed just before everything changed.
Tumblr media
ā€œ22/Oct/2023 The Morning After: Our Family Home in Ruinsā€ This is what was left behind after the bombing of our home.
Tumblr media
🌿 What Life Looks Like for Us Now
Despite everything, we’re still here. Still surviving. Still hoping.
But things have only gotten harder.
The war has returned, more brutal than before—and for over a month now, Gaza has been completely sealed off. No food is coming in. No medical supplies. No aid. No trade. No one is allowed to leave, and no one is allowed to enter.
We’re trapped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
šŸš We live with the fear of tomorrow, every single day. Airstrikes, drones, and the uncertainty of what might happen next. šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ Our family is forever changed—we haven’t just lost people; we’ve lost pieces of ourselves. šŸ“‰ Basic needs go unmet—even clean water feels like a luxury now. Medicines, if they exist at all, are unreachable.
And yet…
Your support reminds us that we’re not forgotten. It reminds us that someone, somewhere, is still listening. That someone still cares. That we’re not completely alone in this.
Every message. Every share. Every dollar. It tells us: You’re walking this road with us. And that gives us the strength to keep going.
šŸ’– What You Can Do
If you’ve already donated—thank you beyond words. If you can share our story again, it could reach someone who can help.
Even $5 means warmth, comfort, and a chance to breathe a little easier.
✨ Why It All Matters
This isn’t just about reaching a fundraising goal. It’s about surviving war with dignity. It’s about believing in tomorrow. It’s about making sure my daughter grows up knowing that the world did not look away.
Thank you for your kindness, patience, and belief in our humanity. You’ve helped me find my voice—and I will use it to keep hope alive.
šŸ™ From the Heart: A Quiet Apology
There’s something I need to say—something that’s been on my heart for some time.
When I first began sharing our story, I didn’t know what the right way was. I was scared, grieving, and trying to protect my family in any way I could. I reached out to many people, hoping someone, anyone, would see us. In that process, I now realize I may have overstepped, and I might have made some feel overwhelmed.
If that happened, I am truly sorry.
Please believe me when I say it was never out of disregard or pushiness. It came from a place of fear—fear of being forgotten, fear of not being able to keep my family safe, fear of watching everything I love slip away in silence.
I’m learning as I go. I’ve slowed down. I’m more mindful now, trying to share our journey in a way that feels respectful of the space and hearts of those listening.
If my words ever came at the wrong time, or in the wrong way, I hope you can understand where they came from—and I hope you can forgive me.
Thank you for seeing past my mistakes. Thank you for still being here. It means more than I can ever explain.

Somebody in my D&D group offhandedly suggested a high-level Spelljammer campaign after we finish Strahd, and I have been Obsessed.
I'm planning over-the top bullshit and crazy fights for a campaign that may never happen. It has to be over the top. It literally cannot be anything else. There is (and I quote) a "large moon... home to rampaging tarrasques".
TARRASQUESSSSSS
WITH AN S
PLURAL TARRASQUES RAMPAGING ON THE SURFACE OF THIS STILL-POPULATED PLANET.
How could this campaign be anything other than goofy shit after I read that?
It can't.

sooooooooo we move out of our current two bed two bath(initally had my absolutely horrific ex living with us until we kicked her out) in early may and we’re looking into a cheaper 1bed1bath that’s gonna make sure we can pay for all of our expenses with just our gi bill instead of needing to beg on here every month because we live alone in an apartment meant for multiple people…but in the mean time we gotta deal with march and april’s rent
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as well, we got to pay off our credit cards we maxed out in december during a very tight financial spot so we can get our credit score up when we do apartment applying (around 300 dollars) and also the hospital bill for when we got involuntarily and forcibly admitted into a psych ward in december
Tumblr media
i’m mainly focusing on the rent and hospital bill at the moment (around 350) but any additional money will go into paying off my cards and towards food as well as any deposits on the new apartment when i start applying for spots after i get done researching
if you want something to go along with helping us out, we do pretty cheap commissions on our ko-fi
to fully put it into perspective, we’re a heavily disabled trans system who lives purely off the GI bill we get from being in college to pay for our day to day, and like i said once we move out we can move into a place that’s not fucking 1.8k a month and move somewhere under 1k a month
we got 14 days to take care of rent in the meantime

The Tartaria people genuinely amuse me because they’re morons who’ve taken these Russian Nationalist and White Supremacist conspiracy theories and taken them to the exact opposite conclusion.
This entire theory is just Ancient Aryans/Aliens shit applied to Europe and North America. It’s foundational premises is Europeans are backwards savage incapable of civilization so someone else must be responsible for the great constructions of Europe and the United States.
Don’t get me wrong this theory is no less racist than Ancient Aryan shit in that it erases the actual history if Central Asia in favor of a pseudo history constructed largely by white europeans; and of course if Washington DC was built by Ancient Central Asians that means it wasn’t built by enslaved Africans on land stolen from indigenous people because it just always existed.
We can just set aside the entire issue of Landback and Reparations because those communities who had their lands stolen never existed in the first place. They were all just made up by the government to cover up the Ancient Empire of the Turboslavs.

This, this, this, this, all of this.
You know who are painfully aware of the short comings of academia as an institution and the need for interdisciplinary study and the need to repair relationships with historically exploited and colonized people: academics in those fields!
I studied history academically; we spent a lot of time talking about the historical and ethical shortcomings of academics, archaeologists, and historians of the last century and the need to do better.
This anti-intellectual framing of Academics as ivory tower elites out of touch with reality and removed from the simple wisdom of the vƶlkisch does nothing to actually combat the problems of academic inaccessibility and insularity but instead makes people vulnerable to being taken in by grifters and peddlers of pseudo-history.
Parroting this shit is how we get people falling for Turboslavism and Esoteric Russian Nationalism.
Something I find incredibly cool is that they’ve found neandertal bone tools made from polished rib bones, and they couldn’t figure out what they were for for the life of them.Ā
Until, of course, they showed it to a traditional leatherworker and she took one look at it and saidĀ ā€œOh yeah sure that’s a leather burnisher, you use it to close the pores of leather and work oil into the hide to make it waterproof. Mine looks just the same.ā€Ā
ā€œWait you’re still using the exact same fucking thing 50,000 years later???ā€
ā€œWell, yeah. We’ve tried other things. Metal scratches up and damages the hide. Wood splinters and wears out. Bone lasts forever and gives the best polish. There are new, cheaper plastic ones, but they crack and break after a couple years. A bone polisher is nearly indestructible, and only gets better with age. The more you use a bone polisher the better it works.ā€
It’s just.Ā
50,000 years. 50,000. And over that huge arc of time, we’ve been quietly using the exact same thing, unchanged, because we simply haven’t found anything better to do the job.Ā

🚨 Every Bit of Support Brings Us Hope 🚨
Hello, my name is Mosab, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become more difficult than I could have ever imagined, and I’m reaching out with hope that someone will hear our story.
The war has taken so much from us—our home, our stability, and, most painfully, 25 of our beloved family members. Their absence is an unimaginable void, and every day is a struggle to survive amidst loss and hardship.
Our Reality Right Now:
šŸ’” Struggling to Stay Afloat: With no stable source of income, even the most basic needs—food, clean water, and shelter—are uncertain. šŸ“š Dreams Put on Hold: The future we once imagined has been replaced by the daily fight to get through each day. 😢 A Deep Loss That Can’t Be Replaced: The pain of losing 25 loved ones is something no one should have to endure.
An Update on Our Fundraiser
Thanks to the kindness of generous souls, we have raised $809 so far—but we are still far from our goal of $90,000. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing basic necessities and rebuilding our lives.
How You Can Help:
A small donation can make a big impact—even $10 can provide relief in ways you can't imagine.
If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post is just as valuable. Every share helps us reach someone who might be able to help.
Your kindness gives us hope in the darkest of times. Thank you for standing with us and for reminding us that even in the worst moments, humanity still shines.
With gratitude, Mosab & Family ā¤ļø

Im always so delighted to remember that the blue meth in breaking bad was rock candy and the cast would constantly snack on it. It makes me want a show that uses breaking bad's insanely well crafted cinematography and wonderful writing but it's about an old witch and her young transgender apprentice opening a candy shop in a small village in the alps

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive 🚨
Hello, My name is Mosab, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
Our Current Situation:
šŸ’” Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income.
šŸ“š Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive.
😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
How You Can Help:
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $10 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
What This Means to Us:
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude,
Mosab and Family ā¤ļø

It’s wild to me to see transvestigator conspiracy theories online that could be so easily explained by natural human variation. That woman has a deep voice? Yeah, sometimes they do. A woman has broad shoulders?? Maybe she plays rugby or hits the gym a fuckton. There’s a ā€œbulgeā€ in her tight pants?? Maybe her vulva is just fat. All the ā€œmarkersā€ of trans woman that transvestigators use to harass any woman aren’t even things unique to trans women.

What I learned from the Lion King:
The world is organized in a vertical hierarchy: a great chain of being ordained by nature. Your place in the Great Chain is fixed at birth and any defiance of that heirarchy will disrupt the natural order and provoke the wrath of the heavens. Some people are born to be ruled and others are born to rule; and exploitation of the former by the later is not only natural it is necessary.
Those set apart from society are set apart for good reason and it is best that they be kept apart from society as a whole. Such people are dangerous, untrustworthy, and have no self control. Marginalized people are oppressed for their own good and need the state to control their bodies to prevent them from destroying themselves and society as a whole.
Vile unwashed foreigners are plotting with effeminate race traitors to usurp your proper position at the top of the hierarchy. These filthy degenerates are no match for our superior strength and courage but will use trickery and underhanded means to weaken us. So we must keep them oppressed at all times.

Hey I saw your pneumothorax post and I had two follow up questions if you have the time to answer them.
Character A is a criminal who has just been shot in a bank robbery gone wrong in the 1890s. She has a sucking chest wound and does not have the time to go see a proper doctor for treatment for fear of capture or vigilante violence.
My questions is what is the minimum amount of treatment needed to keep our outlaw alive for the next 12 hours or so? For the sake of this scenario we don’t have to consider long term survival or recovery.
Bonus question: what complications would arise from the necessity to move character A?
Episode 6 of SciFiMedic Explains: How do I write a tension pneumothorax?
Hi, thanks so much for your ask! This is a serious situation, and will require skill, a high pain tolerance, and ideally a helper for her to survive the next 12 hours.Ā Spoiler alert: her long-term outlook is bleak.
Unlike the person in my previous episode about a pneumothorax, your character cannot have either a closed-simple OR a closed-tension pneumothorax, as there is a hole in her chest. Unfortunately, since it's a sucking chest wound, there is only one way this can play out- a tension pneumothorax.Ā
Adrenaline will fuel the immediate escape. The body can do amazing things thanks to its power. After about 30 seconds to 1 minute however, she's going to be in serious trouble. She needs to stop the bleeding as much as possible- and there will be a lot of it. Since it's a sucking wound, there will be bubbles, and the blood may look more pinkish around the wound than bright red.Ā
Immediately, she should press her hand to the wound, creating an imperfect seal over it. This prevents the pressure inside the chest from equalizing anymore with the pressure of the atmosphere, which is actively causing the lung to collapse every second that passes.Ā
Once she reaches some kind of shelter or place to rest, she needs to create a chest seal out of something. The parameters are:Ā
Not permeable to air (obviously)Ā
Able to sealed on most but NOT ALL sides OR easily be replaced/removed
As clean as possible. Alcohol is fair game to clean things.Ā
The way this kind of pneumothorax works is most easily explained with pictures.Ā
Tumblr media
The middle one is what's happening to your character, where air is allowed to move freely between the chest cavity the outside, which is not good at all. The way to rectify this is apply a seal to the hole, and prevent air movement. The only problem is that if you make a total seal, all that air is trapped inside the chest cavity, still collapsing the lung.Ā
You can fix this by creating a one-way valve that allows air to come out but not back in. With modern medicine, we use chest seals designed to do this. Here is one that is fairly easy to see how it works, called the Asherman chest seal.
Tumblr media
To improvise this device, you can use thickly folded cloth or leather. You want to rig up a way for it to be sealed in such a way that air can be pushed out from the chest, but not inhaled in. This is going to be nearly impossible with rudimentary materials, but absolutely necessary for survival. There might be a way to bind strips of cloth around such a contraption, but it's not going to be anywhere close to a good seal. The best tool around may be her hand.Ā
If the bullet has punctured her chest wall only, a complete seal with a one-way valve will fix the problem fairly quickly. If, however, the bullet also punctured her lung, then air is continually being pushed into her chest cavity every time she inhales. This requires the one-way valve to be functioning on the chest seal to allow the air to escape.Ā
Since it's highly unlikely she'd be able to get a actual seal and valve rigged up, the best possible solution may be to seal it completely off, and "burp" it every once in awhile when breathing becomes difficult. Rather than use a one-way valve, allow the air to build up inside the chest slightly, then release the seal as she exhales and try to get as much of the air out as possible before replacing the seal.
If there is no hole in the lung and the seal is almost complete, then it won't need to be burped often. If there is a hole in her lung, and air keeps filling up the chest cavity, it might need to be burped every 5 minutes. This will lead to an exhausting and agonizing 12 hours.Ā
I cannot stress enough how much this will hurt, and how much blood she is losing both internally and externally. It's a good thing her long-term survival isn't important, because there is little hope of it happening.Ā šŸ˜”
If there is a need to move her, it will be tricky. You need to maintain that seal while she's moving, and it's unlikely that she will be able to walk at all. Although it's possible for her to be conscious, the extreme blood loss, difficulty breathing, and shock will prevent her from going far without help. As for complications- it's gonna hurt like hell, and may speed up the shock that's already setting in.
There is a benefit to keeping her awake and alert as the 12 hours pass. Breathing is a body function she will have control over, and keeping her breathing slow and calm will delay the buildup of air in the chest. Burping the chest seal during a conscious, hard exhale is also beneficial.Ā
Disclaimer: Although I’m in school to become a medical professional, I’m not one yet. Please don’t sue. All mistakes are mine, and I’m always open to discussion, hope this helps!Ā

My name is Abdelmajed Elderawi, and I am writing to you from Gaza, where life has become an unimaginable struggle. Our days are filled with uncertainty, and the hope for a better future feels like a distant dream.
The war has left deep scars on my family and me. We’ve endured the heartbreaking loss of 25 loved ones—each one a light extinguished too soon. Their absence is a pain I carry every day, and I often find myself lost in memories of the laughter and joy they brought into our lives.

How You Can Help: šŸ™ Donate if you can. šŸ™ Share this post to spread the word. šŸ™ Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
