hi!!! i was wondering if you happened to have a bart allen reading guide? i fell out of comics these past few years and my memory issues made it so im basically starting from scratch. i wanted to start off with impulse, but i wasnt sure what other appearances are essential to his character besides his solo run. i tried searching your blog but if you have one already i might have missed it by accident sorry

I don't have a personal one really, though I keep making a more complete one as all the ones I have found online just... stop tracking his complete appearances around 2004.

But anyway, to get STARTED with him you actually don't really need to read anything before Impulse (1995). Issue #1 does a very good recap, however if you wanted to be thorough, you could start with his first appearances then go to Impulse.

This would like like this;

The Flash (1987) #92-#101 then you just hop into Impulse.

There are a few issues in The New Teen Titans as well you could read but they are not really formative. If you were curious those issues are;

The New Teen Titans (1988) #114, #0, #115-#118, Annual #11, #122

The Drakes son

I love Tim Drakes character and story, he’s my favorite robin if you couldn’t tell. He was a normalish kid before he stepped into the vigilante life, him becoming Robin was one of the best things that happened to him, he’s made friends, became familial with the bats, made a new life for himself. But he had also witnessed so much pain with him becoming a vigilante inadvertently killing his parents and him seeing the friends he had made die, leading him to manic. This comic was also inspired by me doing a Tim-robin reread and the fic Heart, Humble by Betty (it is so good, it explores Jacks and Tim’s relationship and is one of my favorite fic).
