Sorry/not sorry for spam reblogging (to my angrycryptic account) but you have the most amazing taste in sapphic books!!! And your art for the characters is so perfect. I'm making a list of books I didn't recognize from your fanart tag bc I need to read them all ASAP.
Do you have a top ten list?
Hi, thank you!!! idk why I never got a notification for this but I just happened to find it in my ask box now, lmao, sorry
tbh if you want me to make a top 10 book list of anything you need to be a little more specific than that because i don't think i can narrow down 500+ sapphic books into a top 10 LMAO. also if you want book recs my book blog is @aroaessidhe!!!

the space between worlds by micaiah johnson

Im about 75% of the way through The Archive of the Forgotten and I'm continuing to fall in love with this series! My new mission in life is to get more people to read the Hell's Library trilogy
Its got dark academia vibes with an actually morally grey main character, found family, a polyamorous relationship, and discussions of humanity's relationship to the stories we tell

The Spear Cuts Through Water:
The Spear Cuts Through Water:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 5 out of 5. Content/Trigger Warning: Serious gore at times A few mentions of rape and non-consensual body modification Cannibalism  Jimenez does not pull any punches in this book. It tells the history of a people and that is often times violent and messy. If any of these make you uncomfortable then please put your mental health first and reconsider reading this novel. The Spear Cuts Through Water is Simon Jimenez’s second published novel. Perfect for fans of N K Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy, the main narrative is relayed to you in second person perspective by various characters.…

“The big Ifrit shook his head. ‘O Great Lord, you must understand, I did not seek solace without reason. All of we Ifrit, upon coming to this world, sought out places where we could be alone. Together, we found the blood fire coming over us, urging us to burn, to set all about us aflame. But alone, we could live with our thoughts. Dwell on the purpose of our existence.’ He looked up, daring to meet the baleful gaze of the hovering giant. ‘It is called philosophy.' The Ifrit King frowned. 'Phil-o-so-phy?’ The big Ifrit nodded briskly. “A means to interrogate the nature of existence and our place within it. The more I thought, the more I began to understand myself. To know that I was created for more than just drowning my enemies in flames… That is how I discovered, I am a pacifist.’”

While I am incredibly obsessed with both Fatma and Siti I have to say that I think I love Hadia the most. The woman was just so excited to be Fatma’s partner. She also keeps backup hijaabs in her bag and is ready to quote ayah at a moments notice. You’re dealing with a racist? Hadia’s got the ayah for that. You’re sad and grieving? Hadia’s got the ayah for that. You don’t know what to do after graduating college? Hadia’s got the ayah for that. I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH.

“For just a moment, she could pretend that her own nails were claws, that the lingering taste of blood came from her own mouth. That she was strong and unbreakable and invincible, not weak and fragile and human.” -Tori Bovalino (via Not Good for Maidens Review + Fav Quotes)

This novel means so much to me as a disabled/chronically ill woman with POTS. I have never seen my experience represented like this in any other book except for maybe Get a Life, Chloe Brown. I will forever be thankful for Lillie Lainoff and her bravery in sharing her own experiences so openly.

The Art of Prophecy Review: Magical Martial Arts and Fracturing Religions
The Art of Prophecy Review: Magical Martial Arts and Fracturing Religions
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 3.75 out of 5. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for letting me read an e-ARC of The Art of Prophecy by Wesley Chu. Based on the concept “What if the prophecy was wrong?”, The Art of Prophecy takes place on a constantly evolving political and physical landscape. The five Zhuun duchies live lives familiar to many readers, settled in communities on solid soil…
