Dick under truth serum that also makes him a little loopy, he resists the urge to talk pretty well until Jason comes in, all of the sudden he can’t stop talking, blabbering on and on about how pretty he thinks Jason is, how much he loves him and wants to go on dates with him.

Everyone is laughing so hard they’re on the ground while Jason stands there red in the face, unable to move because Dick wrapped his arms around Jason’s waist.

How Foolish Of You.

A doppelgänger of Dick gets thrown into their world, he’s sweet, charming, affectionate and definitely not as traumatized as the original. Dick hates him because ever since he came into their world he’s taken over Dick’s place, taken his friends, his family, his…..sorta boyfriend.

Came along and swept Jason right off his feet, sweet words were Jason’s weakness apparently. Dick was foolish in thinking he could have Jason.

Dick stops trying after a while, if he’s that easily replaceable then it’s best he gets out of their lives right? He stops answering anyone’s calls and distress beacons, the new Nightwing can help them from now on. They don’t need him anymore.

Jason tries, he tries calling and leaving messages, begging his boyfriend to come back but they never make it through, Dick blocked him. Jason can’t live without his bluebird, he’ll drag Dick back kicking and screaming if he has to.

DC Titans time travel, Dick goes about everything in a different, kinder way but everything still ends up the same. No matter what he tries to do the outcome is always the same….

Worst of all is that Jason still ends up dying, still becomes the Red Hood, still kills Hank and Dick hates it. Something does change after though…..his fight with Jason never happens, that fight is between Jason and Dawn instead and when Dick goes to confront Jason in the streets he doesn’t get shot in the throat by the one of the Hoods….

No, no that’s a lie, it’s just not a bullet that goes through his throat though….it’s a tranq dart by one of the men. as he falls he’s caught by his little wing who holds him so gently as the Hoods cuff him up, saying he can’t have Dick caught up in this mess, needed him out of way. He’s the last thing Dick sees before the world goes dark.

Jason lives AUs need to get rid of Tim Drake because the only reason he came onto the scene was because Jason died and Batman went off the rails, if Jason doesn’t die that doesn’t happen.

Dami still ends up there because ya know Bruce and Talia were married etc (I ignore Morrisons awful racist retcons) . Steph is a wild card for if she’s there or not because she did want to take down her father but I don’t know if she’d be separate or not? Cass and Duke end up joining anyways I think???? If tim doesn’t become robin then his parents don’t get killed by captain boomerang etc so he really just stays a rich white hedge fund kid.

If you ever write a fic where Jason lives AU I’d read the FAJITAS out of it!

(Also since you like jaydick: if you haven’t read it already King of Lost Boys is a great jaydick fic and has the ONLY plausible scenario where Tim joins after Jason is disabled in the blast and Bruce is still going off the rails but it’s Iike one chapter and the rest is this really cool back and forth time skips and dick and Jason’s relationship development with the running theme of Jason’s disability)

Yea the only good I can think of that Tim brought with his existence is Stephanie Brown and the young justice (comic), everything would still basically be the same with or without Tim in it, like someone else said a while ago, Tim didn’t actually help Bruce and in fact made his control issues worse, Tim was a yes man and he was the “perfect soldier”, not Jason.

(Fuck Morrison) yea….Damian was already there, I remember then Talia lied to Bruce about her having a miscarriage and then left because she knew Bruce would never abandon his mission for anyone. Tim not being there just means Damian isn’t subjected to Tim’s racism and Cass isn’t subjected to Tim’s ableism, Jason isn’t subjected to thinly veiled classism and Stephanie isn’t subjected to misogyny/sexism.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh YJ Jaydick:

Jason breaking into Dick’s apartment with baby Damian, handing said baby to a very surprised Dick and then leaving to get himself and Damian legal identities.

He comes back and hands over papers that state he’s now Dick’s husband, Damian is their son and they now share an apartment, Dick has no idea how Jason got this done so quickly but he doesn’t care because he has Jason back and a son and that’s all he cares about right now.
