Don't force people to address trauma they may not even remember.

Don't force people to remember trauma.

Childhood traumas don't have to be what an adult would consider extreme. Kids are a lot more sensitive to stimuli and cruelty.

And some systems have done fucked up shit in their childhoods, it's not their fault they had to survive.

Be kind, people need it.

Let me put it in simple explanation for all you brainless peeps out there:

Lovecraft: creator is dead and therefore makes no profit off work and is not given a platform to spread hate, okay to buy and talk about.

FNAF: creator makes profit and has funded conservative campaigns but does not use his voice to support it so its okay to pirate and talk about.

Harry Potter: creator is actively making profit off of and using the popularity to continue hate. will NOT stop spreading hate even if money is stopped through pirating, therefore not okay to buy, pirate, or talk about.

I hope this is fucking simple enough.

beep beep sometimes when you have been in survival mode for a long time the parts of you dedicated to Wanting Things atrophy and you forget how to envision a future that feels rewarding because you are busy with the business of staying alive, and it can seem like your life must be pointless because you can’t imagine any long term goals. sometimes even when you leave survival mode you can’t remember how to Want Things. that doesn’t mean you need to give up on having a good and fulfilling life, it just means that Wanting Things is a muscle you need to gradually strengthen. the part of you that has dreams and aspirations is still there, it just fell asleep, but if you wiggle it enough it can and will regain feeling. it’s okay to start small

Are you Japanese or mixed?

Well, we are a system (DID) with a body that is Native American and Scottish with an adopted father who has somewhat darker skin but is still relatively white passing. As a fairly white passing person, we tend to make sure that headmates of color who front often are aware of the difference between their in-space appearances and physical appearance beforehand, and usually they will either respond to one of the chosen collective names or have a nickname to use while in public in order to avoid any sort of cultural appropriation when it comes to naming conventions, in case that’s a concern.

Shout out to persecutors who aren’t “reformed.”

You are in your system for a reason. You were split from blood, sweat, tears, and trauma. So much trauma. Someone needed to be mean. Someone needed to be the asshole. And you’re the person who got that job.

You may not like your job. You may love it. But regardless, it’s yours, and you are needed here.

You don’t need to be “reformed” - you don’t need to be good to be welcomed. Yes, the goal is recovery, the goal is to become better - but everyone is at different stages of recovery, and sometimes, that point of recovery just is not attainable yet.

Endogenic systems are stealing resources... built and funded by the endogenic/pro-endo community...

Putting aside the fakeclaiming, as a general rule, if something has the word "plural" in it, then it was probably made by the inclusive community.

This is true of Simply Plural. This is true of the Plural Association which funds it. And this is true of Pluralkit. Many of the resources linked to in Simply Plural are pro-endo.

While anti-endos can use our resources, acting like we're "stealing" the resources we made and helped fund is incredibly gross.

These are resources that wouldn't even exist without our community.

Simply Plural and Pluralkit are not examples of endogenic systems and the pro-endo community taking resources, but building them, making this community stronger together.

Watching my toddler figure out how to language is fascinating. Yesterday we were stumped when he kept insisting there was a “Lego winner” behind his bookshelf - it turned out to be a little Lego trophy cup. Not knowing the word for “trophy”, he’d extrapolated a word for “thing you can win”. And then, just now, he held up his empty milk container and said, “Mummy? It’s not rubbish. It’s allowed to be a bottle.” - meaning, effectively, “I want this. Don’t throw it away.” But to an adult ear, there’s something quite lovely about “it’s allowed to be a bottle,” as if we’re acknowledging that the object is entitled to keep its title even in the absence of the original function.
