You have no idea how many people lurk on your work. No idea how many times people go back to revisit your work. How big they smile when they simply think about your work. How fast their heart beats, how excited they get when they see that you posted something.

People are shy with their feedback. Sometimes it’s because they’re simply shy. Other times it’s because they assume you already know how great and talented you are. Could be both.

Crescent Moon Cookies

So I was inspired by this post to make crescent cakes and I came up with my own spin on the original recipe!

(Makes 2 cookie sheets worth)

Ingredients:

2 cups self-rising flour (or you can use yeast)

2 cups sugar

4oz Butter

1 Tbsp Honey

1 tsp cinnamon

1 egg

If using yeast activate the yeast with **VERY** warm water. Combine all dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Combine wet ingredients into the mixing bowl and knead until dough is smooth. Wrap in a cloth or plastic wrap and chill for 10-15 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Shape dough into crescent moon shapes, reduce heat and bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes (I do 15 cause I like them soft and chewy, 20 makes them more like Chips Ahoy cookies). Let cool and serve with hot tea or coffee! Can also be used as an offering to Moon, Earth, or Love deities & spirits, as well as the Fae!
