Crossover pairing triad spotlight: WinterHawkHood (Bucky Barnes/Clint Barton/Jason Todd)

Part of the appeal of these three might be the way they balance each other out; there are a lot of parallels, but they have wildly different temperaments. Another part is the way they've all dabbled in dubious morality at one point or another; none fit the traditional hero mold, and they're all more interesting for it. Whatever the reason, they’re a whole lot of fun to write. And thanks to @winterhawkhood-tober, there are a decent number of fics to choose from here!

Finders Keepers by @drgrlfriend - PG, 1500 words. Funny "meet-ugly" fic in which their pets get together before they do.

Marshmallow Crime Lords series by @noxnthea and @there-must-be-a-lock - PG-13, 46k and counting. Fluffy feel-good series with established WinterHawkHood and lots of general Batfam shenanigans.

Penguin by @claraxbarton - teen, 4700 words. Hockey AU! Clara posted a WHH fic every day during October and is singlehandedly responsible for well over a third of the fics in this tag, and it was hard to narrow down which ones to include, but this is a standout.

Third Wheel by @kangofu-cb - explicit, 10,770 words. Absolutely stellar threesome, featuring established Winterhawk with Jason as the guest star. Starts hilarious, gets scorching-hot, ends with a hint of feelings.

Staring At The Sun (Can't Look Away) series by @flowerparrish - 9k total, individual fics range from T to explicit. Adorable coffeeshop AU featuring trans!Clint and lots of fluff.

Snow On The Beach series by @bittercape - fics range from T to explicit, 13k total. Poly negotiations. Some fics are cute and fluffy, some are super sexy, all have great characterization and relationship dynamics.

Tear Through The Night And Raise Some Hell by @carcrash429 - explicit, 6500 words. Vampires! Spooky, angsty, and intriguing.

Raven & Raven(ous) by @claraxbarton and @kangofu-cb - teen/explicit and 4600/7400 respectively. Magic AU! The first fic is Clara's fun setup for a whole beautifully-sketched-out universe; the second is CB's deliciously smutty follow-up, set about a year later.

Feels Like The First Time by @mightymightygnomepriest - explicit, 2k. An incredibly sweet, poignant, and sexy fic about Clint and Bucky giving Jason a second chance at a first time.

The man tilts his head back enough to signal the expression of intense derision that is no doubt occurring underneath the red polymer.

“Maybe I just put the mask on for special occasions. Like when some asshole ex-brainwashed assassin rolls in my window.”

“Happen a lot, does it?” Bucky moves back a step to lean against the wall, trying to signal his disinterest in starting some sort of fight.

“Would you be surprised to know you’re not the first?”

Last week, Dick had more-or-less won the unofficial ‘who fucked with Bruce the most’ contest when he announced he was getting married to his on-again, off-again boyfriend, Slade Wilson. A man who was thirty three years older than Dick. Sure, the man gave off silver fox vibes like it was his job, but even Jason felt a bit nope about that whole situation.

The week before, it had been Damian, reading an itemized list of reasons why he wanted to be emancipated at the tender age of thirteen so that he could sail around the world and perhaps turn to a life of piracy.

But this week, this week, Jason was positive he was going to win.
