Where is your expertise in empathy?

In compassion?

You bent yourself

Broke yourself

For a job that you work

For a job where you are the same as me

I work with you

We work together

But once you condescend me

Once you look down on me

I have no respect for your words

You hold no power over my spirit

I had a coworker get mad at me (she had been complaining the tail end of the night and not do her job) because I asked the head of the event where something went, and had the audacity to say I don’t work there. However, if I were to say anything, it would have made it 100x worse, so here’s my vent. Hope you all have had a wonderful night!

My heart is not completely yours

As I love and love and love with all I am

But I love you with my words

With the “I made it” of every journey

With these poems I devote to you

I love you with my touch

Keeping us warm from the winter cold

I envelope you with all that I am capable

But most of all I love you with my soul

As it is bound to you

No other soul can see what I am made of
