For a while, I tried to research how long criminal case killers would get for their kills, since I was bored and thought it was interesting.

It wasn’t.

A lot of sentencing stuff is super finicky, and needs a lot of adjustments to get close enough to what happened in game. But most calculators that would help calculate the sentences either have wordings that make finding charges extremely difficult, or the adjustment needed to get the more exact answer don’t exist. The websites I found tended to have no way of making it less of a harsh punishment. The only way of making it more harsh was to add more charges, add injuries, or have a previous criminal record. Which, a lot of the times, didn’t work with the cases I had.

The one time I did get a (somewhat) close enough result, the in game sentencing was much higher than the sentencing I got from the calculations (and even then I had to guesstimate a lot since there wasn’t enough background information on the killer.)

I’ve been replaying the games lately (obsession and boredom during the little breaks I get), and have been just changing the time on my phone to be able to do stuff.

It also changes when I get actual recent notifications. I can have a new notification pop up, and it’ll say something like “[insert account name] reblogged a post yesterday”

A while back, I saw a post of someone putting the mysteries of past characters into modern time things because of reincarnation things. However, loving the idea of them just somehow getting transported to modern times. Especially is funnier depending on when in the MotP timeline it takes place during.

Loving the idea that it happens during cases 55-60 (Capitol Peak), the team just disappears for about a minute for the other people who didn’t vanish for a minute (can’t have them disappear for too long), and just are supposed to act like nothing happen
