Hii loves, I am honestly so excited that we've reached another milestone together! I thought for 600, instead of doing a celebration, I could show some love to the writers who inspire me daily, so, this is a collection of all my favourite fics from both mutuals and non-mutuals. You walked into Remus’s dorm on the verge of tears. “Slughorn nearly exploded a potion in my face,” you complained, throwing your bag down onto the floor.

Remus was at his desk with a quill in hand, scratching away on a piece of parchment.

“C’mere, darling.”

He held out his arms for you to come and sit with him. You climbed onto his lap, your knees at the sides of his legs and arms around his middle. You leaned your head on his shoulder as he spoke, feeling the hum on the tip of your nose where it touched his neck. “That can’t be the only thing that’s bothering you, Slughorn never works you up this much.” He whispered softly, massaging his fingers gently through the roots of your hair.

“I’ve also got terrible cramps,” you mumbled, huffing out air.

He kissed the top of your head. “I’m sorry, darling.”

You groaned, shifting uncomfortably from the pain. “Rem, how long do you think you’ll have to work here?”

He pushed you away so he could look you in the eyes, grabbing your face gently with his hands. “I don’t need to at all. Let’s lay down.”

You could barely keep your eyes open, let alone get up at this point. You shook your head, burying your face into his chest. He held the back of your hair and lower back, standing up carefully with you in his arms. He walked swiftly over to the bed, gently setting you down first, kissing your temple as you curled your knees close to your chest. He climbed on the bed behind you, tucking you in his arms. “Darling, why don’t you get some rest, alright? I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

“Can I have a kiss first?”

Remus grabbed your chin, a bright smile on his face.

“You don’t even have to ask, love.”

A quick flick of your wand and the lights of the cafe started to glow a soft white. You started a pot of coffee and made your way over to the oven to take out the muffins that just finished.

“Are we ready?” your coworker called out from in between the chairs and couches of the main floor. She adjusted the last chair and walked towards you.

“Yep, I’ll get the door.”

A small line of people had formed outside. It was so early in the morning the sun hadn’t even risen yet. So early, that you had left your boyfriend, Remus, sleeping peacefully in bed.

You flipped the ‘open’ sign around and unlocked the door, greeting the line of tired customers as they walked in. You did a double take. “Remus?”

“Morning, love,” he whispered, stealing a kiss before making his way past you, following suit in the rest of the line.

You shook your head smiling, rounding the counter to help your coworker with orders

When Remus approached in pajamas, you had already started to write down his order, hoping he’d take it to-go. “Rem, what are you doing here? Go back to bed,” you insisted.

“But I miss you,” he pouted.

You laughed softly. “Darling, it’s a Saturday. I’m only working a two hour shift this morning.”

Remus yawned, taking the chocolate muffin you were handing him. “Then I’ll wait.”

“You should sleep. You need it.”

You held out a mug of tea. “I’ve got this all covered, Remus. But I really think you should go to bed, you can barely keep your eyes open.”

“No, I will be sitting on that couch right over-” he pointed to a cozy spot in the far corner of the room “-there.”

“I think you mean you’ll be sleeping—”

“Oh quiet,” Remus chuckled and made his way over, nearly tripping over the rug. You stifled a laugh as you watched the exhausted boy try and prove a point.

“Remus,” you whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of his head as you sat down next to him, sinking into the couch.

He lay asleep with his head propped up in the palm of his hand. His eyes fluttered open abruptly, sitting up right. He squinted from the light, leaning into your side. “I just shut my eyes, I swear.”

“I’ve watched you for the past two hours, darling. You’ve been asleep this whole time,” you laughed softly, grabbing his hand. You rubbed the top of it, leaning up from against the back of the couch. “C’mon, let’s go home.”

“I don’t want to go home,” he groaned.

“Well, where would you like to go?”

At the simple question, he was wide awake now. “Ice cream. I want to go get ice cream.”

His smile was absolutely contagious. The corners of your lips curled as you leaned in to kiss him. “This early?”

You looked to Remus with soft eyes and a frown on your face. “Please?”

“Rem, I kind of want a kitten of our own.”

“Merlin, not you too, Sirius.”

Sirius grabbed Remus’s hand, squeezing it tight. “Let’s at least play with him for a while.”

Your eyes lit up at the prospect of being able to play with the grey kitten in front of you.

You caught the attention of an employee at the adoption center. They pulled the three of you off into a small enclosure so the tiny creature would be able to have free go wherever it pleases. Remus sat down against the wall and you leaned in next to him, Sirius on the other side of you.

The kind lady working had gently set down the kitten and without a moment to spare, he ran up to Remus, purring as it curled up in the cradle of his arm against his chest. You just about died at the sight of the interaction, and in that moment you could see Remus melt just a little bit.

“Pretty please? Wouldn’t he be so cute back at our flat? Spending all his time with us?” You grabbed both of their hands. “Remus, he’s already such a good cuddler.”

“I think we should get him,” Sirius piped up. “We can name him after me.”

Remus sighed. “We are not naming him after you,” he said through a laugh. “We’ll figure it out eventually.

“So that means we’re adopting him?” you sat up straight, beaming.

“You’ve convinced me, darling.”

“Hey wait, one thing,” Sirius cut in. “I still want cuddles. This cat can’t be stealing all of them.”

Remus looked down to the kitten in his lap, smiling. “I’m afraid you’re a little too late on that one.”

The two of you were laying in bed, buried underneath the covers of the winter chill. He tucked you against his chest, pressing kisses to your exposed skin.

You laughed. “What would I eat for breakfast then, hm?”

“We don’t eat, we sleep. Sleep all day,” he pressed his face further into your neck, hugging your middle tighter. “It’s all I know how to do.”

“Sirius,” you whined.

You wiggled your shoulder, shrugging him off slightly. “I’m serious, I’m getting hungry.”

“No I’m Sirius.”

“Sirius. I want breakfast.”

He laughed, lifting his head up to see your face. He quickly kissed your cheek before getting up out of bed and pulling a shirt over his head. “Darling, if you insist,” he started. “What can I make you?”

james would insist on hanging up your paintings on the walls. you could paint literally anything and he’d love it so much.

he also liked gardening, which is a wonderful pastime for the two of you. he’s very protective over his herbs and vegetables for obvious reasons.
