🐉Deity Work🐉

And my deities and experiences...

So, a lot of you on this platform as well as others have been interested to know my deities, and how I met them and how I worked with them etc. Which my deities are fine with and I asked for permission before hand ofc.

So my take on deity work is that, it’s not dangerous IF you know what you’re doing. If you just became a witch i do not recommend working with deities off the bat, you can worship but don’t work unless you are well versed in a pantheon, even then be careful. I don’t like to control anyone’s path, as long as you aren’t doing close practices when you shouldn’t I really have no problem, everyone’s path is their own. Aphrodite came to me 4 months into my journey. Now, I’m not going to disclose ALL of my deities, but will disclose the first 4 that came into my life, and how they did so and my experiences with them. Also, you’ll see that I’ll be correcting some past posts, mainly the ones regarding wicca since there’s honestly a lot of debate but after conversing with some wiccans those changes will be made shortly and i’ll try to post as regularly as i can, i am a student so it’ll be irregular but it is what it is. This’ll probably be a multi part post but I will start with my first deity and I love her so much~

Aphrodite

Intro: 

Aphrodite, my first deity and goddess, was one of the first to pop up in my spiritual path and she is still with me today and I could not be more grateful for her. She is the goddess of love and beauty and she is married to Ares, God of War. 

Description (To Me):

She appeared to me with long strawberry blonde (more red honestly) hair with these huge curls on the bottom, with light eyes, very tall, this gorgeous stola that was white but also kinda blush pink, and she wore a rose flower crown. She is very kind and patient and always understood the circumstances of which I was succumbed to by my family with their Christian views and I do devotional acts for her such as washing my face, self-care + self-love, and anything that promotes love and even dressing up, just make yourself feel good. 

How She Came To Me:

Lots of signs, bees, a shit ton of cinnamon in my food when i didnt ask for it to be added, seeing venus above the moon, receiving a silver heart  ring from a friend. Random roses. Clear skin without a care routine. Loads of roses and anything romantic related in my life. 

Final Thoughts:

She taught me how to self love and how much of a bad bitch I am, she helped me reclaim my beauty and I think its a luxury her devotees have, I love her, always have always will❤️

Try books. Don’t just rely on sites and blogs, they rarely (sometimes even never) source their information, and UPG gets confused for fact.

Books relating to witchcraft are a bit hard to find where I live, but I am definitely getting books from sites like lib.gen^^

Serious question. If you’re still learning, why are you sharing informative posts without knowing what you’re talking about? You could be (unintentionally, because it doesn’t look like you’re doing this on purpose) promoting some serious misinformation and the people that read those posts might end up believing it rather than a properly researched post. Like Magick, Crowley didn’t invent the word. That’s a wrong idea that’s been going on for years, he just re-popularized it. Agrippa used magick in the 16th century.

Please reconsider sharing information on witchcraft and the occult as a whole before you’re more well known. You could cause harm without knowing. Wrong ideas already affect the community deeply due to the same thing you’re doing and what could help instead is if you study and go deeper into your topics for your own gain! Then you can source books, studies, research, grimoires, trustworthy authors... and so on.

You can do wonders with an informative blog like this. But not if you’re being careless with what you share. Please heed!

Hey hey!! So, what I mean by still learning, is like learning spellwork and learning other forms of magick like divination and such. Which I don’t post about, and really don’t intend to post about, I think spellwork is its own separate thing.

Everything I post about I believe I’m pretty well versed in although it is subjective how skilled i am, and I have tried to be as accurate as possible with double checking and going through multiple posts and sites about this to try to be truthful with my posts. 

However, things do fall through the cracks no ones perfect ofc, and I have said before to always correct me if I am wrong. I am going back and making sure my posts are well structured and in fact factual, and its for my own benefit and for the benefit of my followers cause i dont want them to get themselves hurt or harm anyone. And if i am wrong in anything i always repost with the correction making sure my followers know about the truth, which is in fact why i haven’t posted in a while, i’ve just been going back and re reading and making sure everything is correct. 

I really only intend to post basic stuff on here, but the only problems i’ve had, had been with crowley and thelema i believe which have been hard to gather because of the different information that sometimes contradicts each other so i’m trying to be as accurate as possible, but i know for the most part besides those two topics my info is truthful.

🌇The Clairs🌇

The Clairs are physic abilities that we have, now we don’t have all of them although it’s possible to train them, it is hard though. 

Clairvoyance means clear seeing. This is when visions past, present and future flash through our mind's eye, or third eye, much like a daydream. Many of us are highly visual and able to understand an idea best when we see it written or sketched out as an image on a computer screen or on a canvas. Visual people often choose to be artists, builders, photographers, decorators, designers and so forth. If this sounds familiar, your clairvoyance is most likely a dominant sense. Clairaudience means clear hearing. This is when we hear words, sounds or music in our own mind's voice. On rare occasions, spirit may be able to create audible sound, though this takes a tremendous amount of focused energy. Some of us best retain and comprehend information when we hear it spoken aloud. Our natural talents tend to lie in our auditory faculties, often making us gifted musicians, singers, writers and public speakers. If this feels right to you, clairaudience may be a leading sense for you. Clairsentience means clear feeling. This entails feeling a person's or spirit's emotions or feeling another's physical pain. Many of us are clairsentient without consciously being aware of it. When we get a strong "gut" feeling, positive or negative, about someone we just met or when we get the "chills" for no apparent reason, we may be tuning into the emotional energy of a person or a spirit around us. When we are highly sensitive and are in tune with not only our own feelings, but also the feelings of others, this makes us natural healers and caregivers. Clairgustance means clear tasting. This is the ability to taste something that isn't actually there. This experience oftentimes comes from out of the blue when a deceased loved one is attempting to communicate a memory or association we have with a particular food or beverage that reminds us of them. If we have a heightened sense of taste, this would make us natural chefs, bakers or food critics. Claircognizance means clear knowing. This is when we have knowledge of people or events that we would not normally have knowledge about. Spirit impresses us with truths that simply pop into our minds from out of nowhere. An example of this would be a premonition: a forewarning of something that will happen in the future. Claircognizance requires tremendous faith because there's often no practical explanation for why we suddenly "know" something. Many philosophers, professors, doctors, scientists, religious and spiritual leaders and powerful sales and business leaders tend to be highly intuitive and seem to just know the facts with a sense of certainty. Erebus: The Darkness

Erebus was one of the oldest ancient Greek gods. He was one of the sons of the first goddess Chaos or Khaos. In mythology, his most common mistress was the goddess Nyx.

Erebus was the father of many gods and goddesses, including Aether, Hypnos (Sleep,) and Thanatos (Death). 

Erebus was the Greek god of the Underworld and his name meant “place of darkness between earth and Hades.” His name was often used to refer to part of the Greek Underworld where the spirits of the dead pass after the leave the living bodies. This place was also sometimes called Tartarus. 

Erebus was credited with finishing the Underworld after the gods created Earth. He did this by filling in the empty places with dark mists. Nyx used Erebus’ dark mists to bring night to earth. The Greek poets referred to this as the “Veil of Night.” In some stories, Erebus, Nyx, and Hemera are referred to as spirits rather than gods.

🌙Magick vs. Magic🌙

And why witches spell it ‘magick’ Or don’t. 

The word was created by the controversial occultist Alister Crowley (1875-1947) who founded the religion Thelema which later became known as Wicca.  

One reason he added a ‘k’ was to separate between entertainment magic and witchcraft magick. 

Many thing the distinction isn’t necessary but there are other reasons Crowley did this. 

Crowley’s philosophy of Thelema meant that he also used the word magick to describe any act that brings someone closer to what he called their ‘True Will’; their purpose in life.

In 1886 (about 11 years from 1875) Crowley’s father, a devout Christian and preacher, passed. Crowley, a formerly devoted follower of Christianity out of respect for his father, began to turn his back on the Christian religion, pointing out irregularities in the Bible. His mother, also a Christian, because of this called him “The Beast.”

When Crowley created the word ‘magick’ he lengthened a five letter word to six letters, the number six being sacred in many beliefs. Interestingly, according to Genesis, God created man on the 6th day. In the Bible, Revelation 13:18, God assigned the number 666 to man and to the Beast.

Revelation 13:18

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” 

The letter K is also the 11th number of the alphabet. This number has huge significance to Crowley and he often wrote about its importance: “Firstly”, 11 is the number of Magick in itself” along with his well-known phrase “Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole Of The Law” which has eleven words and eleven syllables.

Some people refrain from using ‘magick’ due to Crowleys reputation and the several stories surrounding his life, others use ‘magik’ or ‘majick’ or variations of said word. But there is no right or wrong here and you can use ‘magick’ or not, it’s all up to the witch at hand. I just use it to differentiate magick and magic.

Nyx: The Night

Nyx is the Greek Goddess of the night, and the daughter of Chaos. Her birthplace was not on Earth but in Gaia. She is Primordial God. It is said that she was created near the beginning of time. Her home is in the depths of Hades’ underworld. Nyx has a shadowy figure, which makes her the perfect personification of the night.

Nyx is a very unique goddess. She can impact mankind in a good or bad way. Her ability to bring sleep or death unto to the human race. Zeus even feared Nyx because she was older and stronger than him. That speaks volumes of her power. The moonstone is used to honor her to this day. It reflects it’s owner and should be used during the full moon.

Nyx lived in Tartarus. However, Nyx is not exactly the personification of evil in greek mythology. She’s never spoken of having done anything more ‘evil’ than Zeus himself does in any mythology. Yet, many see her as more of a villain figure than she ever appears to be.

Nyx married Erebus, the God of darkness. Nyx and Erebus produced Hemera (Day) and Aither (Light). Hemera is Nyx’s opposite. Nyx brought the dark veil over the night, while Hemera chased the dark mists away each morning. Interestingly so, Nyx was able to create her own dark spirits including Fates, Sleep, Death, Strife, and Pain. More of Nyx’s children include, Geras, Moros, Nemesis, the Keres, and the Oneiroi.
