Heyyy! I’ve been reading some of your asks and you always give really well thought out responses so I thought I’d ask a question that I’ve been attacked for asking elsewhere!
I think you’re a fan of Tommy (?) I’m just curious what it is about him you like? Everytime I ask Tommy fans they get really defensive (which I get, as there are a lot of people who hate him and attack his fans) but I genuinely have no opinion on him.
I do have to say I’m definitely more partial to buddie when it comes to shipping (although I honestly am indifferent to whether or not they end up together) but this isn’t really a question related to buddie vs bucktommy.
I genuinely just don’t understand why people are so in love with Tommys character by himself when he has like 10 minutes of screen time, are people just fans of the ship? Does the actor have a big following idk about? Is a lot of it people who don’t like buddie, and just like Tommy out of spite?
I’d like to say I come from an indifferent perspective as I’m not actually active in the 9-1-1 fandom (I didn’t know it had a fandom until the network switch lol!) and am more of just a weekly watcher. So I was super surprised when he had such a huge following! To me personally he just felt like a good plot device to do stuff no one in the main cast was able (fly a helicopter and kiss buck lol).
I hope none of this sounds rude I honestly mean no hate to any fans of Tommy or Bucktommy!!!
I've been putting off answering this all day, I'm sorry.
First things first, let me be very clear. The reason Tommy fans get defensive when you ask why we like him is because you're using the same phrases as the people who have sent us death threats, CSA fics, and suicide bait for over a year. We have listened to those people endlessly claim that Tommy is "just a plot device" or that "he only has ten minutes of screen time" or that "people only like him because they hate Eddie". Just as you've done in this ask.
Now, I'm not saying you're one of those people, but you should be able to understand why we get so defensive after spending a year having to defend ourselves from the very worst of fandom.
With that out of the way, let me also add that I do not speak for anyone but myself in the rest of this post. So here's why I like him:
Tommy is funny. He has that dry, snarky sense of humour that appeals to me, as someone with the same type. His sarcasm and dry wit is enjoyable, and it's a good counterbalance to Buck's optimism. He's not a cynic, though. He's realistic, having lived a full life and learned that every action has its consequences.
Tommy is smart. He knows his own expectations and boundaries, and knows when and how to enforce them. He's intuitive. He's thoughtful. He chooses to take care of the people he loves, and gives his all to the task every time. He's resourceful, with a range of knowledge and the skills to back it up. He's not boastful, but confident in himself and his abilities. He's respectful and respected, both professionally and personally.
Tommy is kind. He, like Buck, is a fixer. He's mature enough to know, however, when there's something he can't fix; he sticks around all the same, though. He understands the importance of a support network, because he didn't have one. He wants for others something better than what he had, even though he might be envious or jealous of them having it when he couldn't. He's patient, knowing that discovering oneself is a long process, and one that can't be rushed without sacrificing safety, security, or happiness. He's willing to let himself be hurt in order to prevent others from feeling it.
Tommy is strong. Not just physically, but emotionally. He understands himself on a level that speaks to years of dedicated introspection and work. He's careful, not just with his words but with his actions. He's grounded, with a stable sense of self and an understanding of where he fits in the world. He's flawed, but he's learned from his mistakes and done everything in his power to atone for them. He's guarded, understanding his own weak spots and how to protect them.
Tommy is gentle. His size, stature, age, and blatant masculinity are all carefully considered when he engages with others. He knows when and how to soften his voice, to lower his shoulders, to make himself less intimidating, because he knows there are people who will make a snap decision about him based on how he presents. He knows exactly the image he projects, and he knows when it's safe to change that perception. He's thoughtful, again, of other people's comfort.
Tommy is selfish. He'll break his own heart now to spare himself the pain later. He's scared, because the life he's lived has taught him never to expect good things without the bad. He's a bitch, letting his face speak volumes even when he's completely silent. He's afraid of commitment. He desperately wants commitment. He's jealous. He's petty. He's lonely. He's alone, and doesn't want to be.
Tommy is so many things. He has experienced a hard life, but he hasn't let that life harden him. He puts his heart into everything he does, even though he guards it far more readily than Buck does. He values friendship, loyalty, and trust. He'll go to hell and back again, gladly, if it means protecting someone he cares about. He'll break the rules, the law, if it means someone he cares about can be saved.
He is a complicated, flawed, and deeply intriguing character. He is a study in contradiction. He is proof that anyone can change, if they just want to.
And none of this even touches on why I like him with Buck in particular, but that'll be another post, I think.
You might read all of this and ask yourself, where am I getting all of this? How can a character with only "ten minutes of screen time" provide this much? And to that, I would have to say, you haven't paid attention. He is a plot device, just as all characters are in a work of fiction, but his story is more than just his lines on screen. We met him first in the Begins episodes, where we watched as he evolved in the background. Sure, most people didn't pay attention then, either, but with his reintroduction, that evolution was cemented into canon.
What you need to understand, nonnie, is that a show like this is never going to hold your hand and tell you all of the character notes. They're shown to you, through character interactions and context clues. We know from Chimney Begins that Tommy and Chim became friends. We know from Hen Begins that Hen inspired Tommy. We know from Bobby Begins Again that Tommy made amends with both of them, and were friendly enough that they often went out drinking together after work. We know from Capsized that Tommy is still close enough with them both that Chimney still has Tommy's personal number, and that Hen still trusts him enough not to fight him even though he could blow the lid on her entire stealth attempt. We know from the rest of season seven and early season eight that Tommy desperately wants a family.
Everything that I've mentioned above is extrapolated from canon. Every character interaction, every line, every microexpression, every hint of body language, all of it. I analyse media for fun, and Tommy is by far one of my favourite characters to analyse.
That's why I like him. He's Tommy. It's really that simple.

📦✨Jupiter Rx in the Houses : Big Wisdom, Delayed shipping!📦✨
Note: These are my personal observations over the years from readings, patterns, and late-night chart deep dives. Always take what resonates and leave the rest. Huge shoutout to the anon who asked me to make this post, you snapped with the idea. Thank you for the push 💌 Also, Lemme know in the comments about your Jupiter Rx experiences!
🔥 Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) - You wanna believe in yourself so bad, but there's always an inner voice like “Are you actually that bitch?” You’re born to inspire, but it takes time to trust your own hype. Your confidence is built through trial, error, and existential meltdowns. You question your purpose so much, the universe’s auto-reply is “again?” People think you’re bold but the truth is you are doubting yourself with flair. You won’t follow a guru, you’ll eventually become the wild one others quote.
🌊 Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) - You’ve been spiritual since the you're a womb in your mommy's tummy, but also suspicious AF about it. Jupiter Rx here makes your faith moody, deep, and a lil paranoid. You trust the universe unless it ghosts you (again). You're soft but spooky.
🌬 Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) - You believe in ideas, until they contradict each other, then spiral. Jupiter Rx here is like your mind has an inner debate club with no moderator. You don’t “feel” faith, you analyze it, blog about it, then delete it. Spirituality is a thesis paper you’ve been rewriting since age 12. You're skeptical of everything including your own skepticism. Your luck activates when you stop googling everything and actually live it.
🌍 Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) - You want your faith to come with a user manual and solid reviews. Jupiter Rx here means you don’t just believe, you need proof, practice, and a planner. You take forever to trust, but once you do, you’re loyal to the divine like it’s your 9-5. Your wisdom is built brick by brick and no shortcuts. You’ll doubt the journey 1,000 times but you never quit it.
Jupiter Rx in 1st - You radiate depth but rarely broadcast it loud. It takes a while to believe in yourself, but once you do you are unstoppable. You weren’t born with luck though you had to define what that even meant. You expand through identity crises. Yay? You don’t trust gurus as you might become one.
Jupiter Rx in 2nd - You lowkey feel guilty spending on yourself. Delayed abundance but deep appreciation. Security is an inside job with interest. You don’t spend easily, you want meaning in every dollar.
Jupiter Rx in 3rd - You don’t talk to talk, you talk to understand reality. You’ll rewrite your entire belief system before breakfast. Childhood may have felt isolating or misunderstood. Small talk feels like violence. Your big ideas buffers internally. You have a PhD in over-thinking. Small talk feels like violence. Siblings may have felt like karmic classmates.
Jupiter Rx in 4th - Your childhood might have felt like a live-in soul lesson. You inherited emotional debt, not just furniture. You parented your parents at least once. You age backwards emotionally (in a good way). You’re your ancestors’ wildest karmic plot twist. The “happy home” ideal took work, not luck.
Jupiter Rx in 5th - Joy didn’t come easy, you had to Google it emotionally. You're a late-bloomer creative genius. Romance is your spiritual lesson disguised as chaos. You’re funny without trying but deeply intense too.
Jupiter Rx in 6th - Routines make you existential. Co-workers are your soul contracts with HR. You don’t “clock in,” you time travel. Service is sacred, but so is rest. You tried everything but consistency.
Jupiter Rx in 7th - Relationships are your crash course in self-worth. Partnerships are your mirror like sometimes fogged, sometimes cracked. Boundaries weren’t natural, you had to learn ‘em the hard way. Love isn’t luck for you, it’s wisdom in heels.
Jupiter Rx in 8th - You transform like it’s a side hustle. Power scares you because you know how real it is. Sex, death, rebirth are your usual weekend topics. You feel luckiest after breakdowns (fun, right?). You’re here to alchemize the taboo into truth.
Jupiter Rx in 9th - You didn’t just lose faith, you interrogated it. Your mind is like a haunted university. You’ll travel to find yourself, then lose your luggage and ego. Truth is your compass, but seriously, it wanders.
Jupiter Rx in 10th - You weren’t handed success, you were handed a character arc. Career might feel like a karmic obstacle course. You’ve outgrown more job titles than LinkedIn can handle. Achievement comes after identity crisis #3.
Jupiter Rx in 11th - You’ve always felt like the weirdo in the group chat. You never fit in and you will own it later in life. You might have a future-cult-leader vision, minus the cult. You’re not the outcast, you’re the blueprint.
Jupiter Rx in 12th - You feel the world’s emotions like spam emails. Also, luck feels like a dream you can’t wake up from. Spiritual since birth, confused ever since. LOL, your dreams have dreams. You know things without knowing why (and it’s spooky). Your unconscious is a spiritual jungle gym. You’re here to turn solitude into sacred ground.

Blue Sparks
Fembartender!jinx
I wiped down the counter of The Last Drop, the familiar smell of smoke and alcohol heavy in the air. It wasn’t the cleanest job, but it paid well, and that was all that mattered. The bar was a regular stop for Silco’s crew—a place where plans were made and deals whispered in the dark. I'd worked here forever, but lately... something—or rather, someone—had started to occupy my thoughts.
Jinx.
I wasn’t sure when it started. Maybe it was the first time she burst into the bar, pink and blue smoke following her with that manic grin of hers. Or maybe it was just the way her electric blue hair seemed to glow in the dim light. Every time she walked in, my heart would skip a beat. She was wild, unpredictable—like a bomb about to go off—and for some reason, that drew me in.
Today was no different.
The door creaked as Jinx skipped inside, her eyes scanning the room like a hawk. The smell of paint and gunpowder seemed to follow her, and I could feel the tension in the air. I tried to act normal, but my hands trembled slightly as I grabbed a glass to wipe it down.
"Hey, sugar!" Jinx called, her voice high and full of mischief. "Got any of that juice you always make? You know, the stuff that gets me really wired?" Her eyes locked onto mine as she sits down at the bar resting her head on her chin
My breath caught. "Of course, Jinx. I’ve got it ready just for you" I chirp, walking to the back to grab the concoction I’d perfected just for her. It was a mix of caffeine and something extra—something that seemed to fuel her chaos. I’d been experimenting with drinks for a long time and it was nice that it was a special thing between me and her
When I handed it to her,our hands brushed sending a shock down my spine.
"Thanks, sugar." Jinx took the drink, and I couldn’t help but notice the way her grin could light up the whole room. I watched her for a second, my heart racing, but she had already turned her attention to something else—a pile of explosives and parts, no doubt plotting her next big thing.
I leaned against the counter, my gaze lingering on her. "Everything okay?" I asked, trying to get her to snap out of her bomb-crafting trance.
She blinked up at me like she’d just realized I was there. "Huh? Oh yeah, all good! Just figuring out what to make next," she said, her voice filled with excitement. But for a second, I saw the exhaustion in her eyes. Maybe she didn’t care about anything—but I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more beneath the chaos.
Jinx took another sip of the drink. "This stuff’s amazing, toots. Seriously, you should sell it. I’m gonna need more of this if I’m gonna get anything done."
I chuckled, shaking my head. "You’ve got more than enough energy already, Jinx. You’re like a force of nature all by yourself."
Jinx laughed, her grin widening. "Isn’t that the point?" She winked, and for a moment, my heart stopped. My chest tightened, and I fought to keep the nervousness from showing.
“You’re really good at what you do, you know that right?” I asked, leaning in a little with a smile hoping i didn’t look too nervous.
Jinx beamed, completely oblivious. “Yeah, I know! That’s why they pay me the big bucks!” She twirled around, her excitement spilling out like always. She didn’t notice the way I was looking at her—the way my heart raced or how I could feel the weight of every moment we shared.
But it didn’t matter. I was just the bartender, and she was Jinx—chaotic, free, and untouchable. No matter how much I wanted to be more than that, I knew better.
"Maybe next shimmer shipment I’ll blow up the whole ship," Jinx said with a laugh, her eyes lighting up with mischief. "That’ll really get people talking!"
"Whatever you say, Jinx," I replied, trying to sound casual, even though I felt a little defeated. "Just... try not to blow up the bar, okay?"
Jinx gave me a salute, her grin wide and her eyes twinkling with excitement. “No promises, sweetheart!”
As she turned to leave, I felt a pang in my chest. It wasn’t that I didn’t love seeing her full of life—it was just that it felt like a lifetime ago when anyone had looked at her like that. She was a storm, and I wasn’t the one who could pull her out of it.
But even as she disappeared out the door, I couldn’t help but hope. Maybe, someday, something would spark between us.

this is like random but I’m glad the fandom has recognized jackie’s depression and passive suicidal ideation moreso now because a lot of conversation around her death ignores that alongside the role of her being horrified/disgusted at the events of doomcoming. it’s usually to sort of absolve the girls (mostly shauna) potential role in her death blaming it solely on Jackie’s refusal to come inside but I feel like that’s just a cop out and that people tend to overlook that jackie was Also a teenage girl in the wilderness dealing with mental health issues, to once again absolve their fave characters.
this is gonna turn into a rant if I don’t cut myself off but it’s why I largely appreciate jackienat as a ship as well because there’s clear care for jackie as a character whereas some jackieshaunas will ignore the unsavory parts particularly of how shauna impacted jackie’s mental health toward the end, in favor of shauna despite that being important to their relationship and shauna’s guilt (which isn’t just unfounded or survivor’s guilt)
okay so i accidentally went on a tangent and may have lost the plot of your ask - but i think you'll agree with this? idk. i hope so
jackie's suicidal ideation is something that was shown so well. and i almost think it was shown *too* well in that - it's easy to miss it if you don't know what to look for. imo that's part of why it's so overlooked.
jackie often gets passed off by the fandom (and the girls) as being lazy and not adapting. she's grumpy, whiny, and doesn't try the way the others do. but in reality - jackie just doesn't register any chance of survival.
when shauna tries to help her adapt, jackie says "i don't belong here, and i don't know how much longer i can keep doing this."
on the surface level, yes, jackie means the wilderness - but she's speaking in a greater sense. none of the girls belong in the wilderness but jackie also knows she doesn't fit in amongst the other girls
(we see this in the pilot with how she lingers before giving her locker room pep-talk. she has to script out her interactions and even then, is rejected when she says the wrong thing. again, before the party -jackie tries to help shauna by suggesting the red dress and mentioning randy - but shauna shoots her down. in both instances, jackie doesn't know what she's doing wrong, but she knows she's making mistakes. from the get-go, jackie is deeply insecure and doing her best to hide it)
on top of the isolation - jackie was depressed before even getting on the plane (again - we can infer from her reaction to the scene with jeff and the general contrast in her character. she's stoic and withdrawn when we se her alone and masking heavily around her friends) so when it crashed, the only thing keeping her going was shauna.
everything jackie did in the wilderness was motivated by her. she gave up the last of her food when shauna almost fainted. and even when she slut-shamed nat - it wasn't because she hated her or wanted to be a bitch. it was because nat wasn't bringing back food and shauna had almost passed out from hunger.
in jackie's last few episodes, she's withdrawing from the other girls. she's becoming more combative - essentially burning any bridges she has left. she's making it easier to eventually kill herself. she won't feel bad about leaving if nobody around her will miss her.
and like you said - shauna did a lot to hurt jackie's mental health that the fandom ignores. she refused to communicate with her despite jackie constantly trying to start a conversation. she lied to her about jeff. and during doomcoming - she not only terrorized jackie with the rest of the girls, but she never apologized. she straight up saw lottie lock jackie in a closet and did nothing because she was on lottie's side.
jackie's refusal to come inside was so many things and yes, some of it was her being a stubborn teenage girl. but it was more than that. it was a girl who was content with the fact that - either shauna would come get her and everything would be okay again, or she would die out there. it was someone who was actively in the process of trying to starve to death. someone who figured: if death is inevitable, she might as well take it into her own hands.

Welcome to the World of Total Drama Arms Race! Pt 7: A Ridonculus Race and a Ridonculus Change of Pace (Pt-1 of the cast).
It's gonna be a double post cuz there's alot of pics lol
Growing up Noah, he expected little in life. The runt of 9 kids, he had the smarts and mobility to evade his hordes of “jockheaded freaks that he shared blood with”, and claimed his way out of the rush for life… by not even playing through it
And then the whole Demon-killing, saving the world, trauma-conga-line, fiasco that was the summers of 2010 and 2012 hit. Fighting for something greater, bonding with people he’d never in his life expect to. Two years, and he found himself as the commander of a mercenary group alongside Heather, and the blossoming start of something called the Coalition, a planetary alliance of Countries, magical groups, and the Blessed, united in defeating the Demons of the Legion.
…And all the paper work/ logistic/ politics/ R&D/ commanding/ fighting that comes with it. In a year, the now 21 year old Commander of the Coalition is
God. Damn. Exhausted.
Aloof, tired, once had to stay up for a week to expedite a few things alongside Heather. Decided to take the work because he saw how awfully processed it was.
And for self-proclaimed “efficiently” cut contact with his family>
All along, it was obvious that Noah was basically running himself until his proverbial pencil shortens to nothing. A stark contrast to the lazy bum of TDI. Owen knows, Heather knows really well, and Bridgette and Alejandro is concerned he’s gonna snap. So one night, they concocted a somewhat grandious plan, after Geoff crashed in drunk with an insane idea.
4 of them sign up for this new Reality competition called “The Ridonculus Race”. Before Heather called him a complete dumbass, Owen actually agreed. He thinks it’s good to get him back into something familiar, even if it wasn’t great. Which convinced the rest, funnily enough, because they trusted Owen’s Judgement on his little buddy.
With much complaining and groaning, the two used some fake names, ensured their heavy-duty combat armor ensured proper disguises, and joined the show as the “Reality TV Pros” (Much to Tyler and Leshawna’s confusion.) . Even with Geoff joining with his bud, and the new recruit, Leonard bringing his “apprentice”, Noah completly lauded the stupidity of this idea.
And then he met Ema “Emma” and Kiti Eguchi. 2 Japanese sisters that little did either know, crossed paths 2 years ago, at the dawn of Noah’s fated journey to save the world from hell. But a story for another time, this isn’t Nemma’s story yet, this is the story of the RR cast.
Their weapons came in groups of 8, a bit like the first venture, and a bit like the other casts. But unlike the first 3, who had to figure all this on their own, veterans within their ranks would train the rest of the cast, to become stronger. And throughout, members of the coalition would pop by to say hi, chat, smooth, and most importantly,
Assess their potential.
They had a mountain to climb in this marathon of mind and body, some held by their past, their fear of the future, and their place in the world. Though their hearts maybe rotten at times, even pushed to limits and hearts leading to rash decisions.
The generation of the RR held, and prospered. Thanks to the veterans, each other, and even the bonds that formed, they were ready to handle the duties of the blessed. All proven, when a Demon cult called the Hand of Abbadon, were plotting to finally slay these new contestants by
For 2 years since, peace was held. Progress was abundant, the world advanced. Everything from new power-sources, to intergration of Magic and technology to everyday lives, and even the creation of ships and mechs only dreamed of in fiction. Some asked their beloved for their hand in marriage, particularly Noah and Emma, and finally Alejandro and Heather. Finally, since Heather’s been hinting to want it in her The globe prepared and advanced for the Legions eventual arrival. The first rift generator was created. And a new frontier was available for the Coalition and Blessed for something researched back in Area 51 allowed for piercing the dimensional veil.
And when that veil was pierced, and the Coalition took to the offensive against demon assaults in other worlds. They were watched, by the ever growing banner of Conquest. The Demon God of Pride.
A necessary peace, a developing armament of the human race. For 2015 was the start of the Dreaded 5 Year Siege, that changed everything.

“no elain stan wants elain in SC it's elucien shippers that want her away from azriel and make theories like this but no point arguing with someone who hates elain but defends tamlin misogyny rots the brain”
Forgot to tag at first. Aww, just like with your Elain. @lunaaaast look!! I made a new Elain hate post custom made just for you!!
I usually choose pretty and ignore these but I am sick and high off my ass from meds and I’m not having a fun day. And what do you do? Walk into my territory and rest your head on the butcher’s block like a fucking dumbfuck, nothing less I expect from an “Elain stan”.
So you just come to a post clearly meant to bash Elain. It’s mentioned right there, at the very top, the first three words, it’s Elain hate. You still stick around. You ignore the entire set of her flaws pointed out which proves what a dismissive, selfish person and a gigantic bitch she is. And you jump straight to Tamlin hating like that’s the lifeline to save you. You even ignored the comments where many discuss what’s wrong with her character.
Good job!! Can’t read ten lines on character/plot discourse but so eager to read a full length book on whose dick Elain is going to ride.
At least you could have gone through my other posts where I bash Elain in lengths, stroked your rage and come back with something valid than the same ol’ shield like misogyny. Nah, that’s too much thinking and why do that when someone mentions Tamlin?
Right off the bat, you announce yourself a “Elain stan”. What are you stanning? A blob? A name that’s only an afterthought because even Feyre (read SJM) forgets of her existence most of the times? How does she get forgotten in both her sisters’ books that often, makes one wonder. And she is the most precious to the both. Well, okay.
You literally bring ship wars—her association to men—to a discussion on why Elain is not fit to be in any position of power and then have the audacity to call me a misogynist?
“Elucien shippers want her away from Azriel” Let it be on the record, I hate all Elain ships and I want her away from every person, that includes men lol.
And the dreams of the Elriel shippers are riveting, aren’t they? Elain will become a spy and work for Azriel, treated like a saint and pampered by the emotionally stunted winged man child (which is basically her manipulating him to the point any last hope of him becoming any better is thoroughly thrashed).
“No point arguing” Babygirl, we both know you walked into a party uninvited just to ruin someone’s day. If you didn’t want to argue, you would have yapped into your corner of the fandom instead of cramming up my comment section. You had nothing decent to defend Elain because there is nothing there to defend. So stop pretending to take the high road, there is no road.
If you had a friend in her twenties, doesn’t contribute in your relationship, has done nothing—I mean absolutely nothing—for you, would you see her as a good, kind person? Elain is worse than that as everyone has to risk their lives for her too.
Just like you who likes to call yourself a “stan” of something that isn’t even there, Elain is piggybacking off a potential that doesn’t exist. You wanna know how? She is Feyre and Nesta’s sister. She is Lucien’s mate. She is Azriel’s potential love interest. Because she is written by a fame monger who wouldn’t stop making money off your backs. That’s the only assurance you have that there will be an Elain book, because plot wise there is not even a guarantee that she is of worth. Everything you believe so high and mighty of hers to be “stanned” about exists only in the minds of you “stans”.
You guys are walking proof that some things don’t deserve a name as it only gives it too much power.
I don’t hate Elain because of any man or for any man. I hate her for her. Because she is a dense, pathetic, selfish waste of space who has never cared about anyone but herself. She never learnt to cook when the family needed and now that they are rolling in riches and all her comforts are met, she is now mother teresa feeding an army. She never lifted a finger ever in her life and always slid back into the shadows when her sisters needed her, but now they are the ones making her invisible. But the moment they get their wealth, she scored a man right away to fuck out of the family. And literally everything after this is just a reiteration of these points but of course, it’s hard to tell if you’ll understand them given you intentionally misread the first post.
So what is rotting in that skull of yours? Next time you accuse me of something, make sure it has some validity.

Idk which pirate crew to choose but what about a fem ghost child who lives on an island or ship. Their pretty lonely since they died alone and all they want is a family. So when a pirate crew shows up she kinda tries to keep them from leaving. Kinda angsty? Maybe the crew ends up adopting her??
Hunger and Solitude (Brook x f!child!ghost!reader x Sanji)
A/N y’all I cooked right here, I ‘ll be homest when I read this I was like UM BROOK 100% but then I was like thinking of the plot and the backround of Reader for the story and I was like I need Sanji here. This story is more on the heavy side and unlike my other ones this is not the squealing like a little kid type as it includes themes of death and starvation but just as wholesome in my opinion
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which stands for reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
Brook found himself walking around the cabin his crew had ended up in, attempting to take shelter from a snowstorm that raged on the island they were visiting.
The abandoned cabin, if one could call it that, didn’t seem abandoned at all; it seemed weird to the skeleton. Usually, he would be against abandoned places, lest they find a ghost or other undead beings, but this place seemed taken care of; everything was in order, no dust, no cobwebs, no roof caving in on itself; it seemed like a typical house, but yet not a soul could be found.
“Brook, you noticed it too, right?” Sanji says, walking up to him, the usual cigarettes resting between his lips
“Yes, this place… it’s abandoned, and there isn’t anyone here or around, yet this place is immaculate,” he replies, glancing around the room
“There has to be someone here,” The chef concludes
Dokucha looked down at the two men, studying them from the rafters up above
Brook paused at the sound of a childish giggle, slowly looking up and spotting a small girl looking back at him
“…”
“…”
“A GHOST!” He cries, pulling out his sword from the cane
“You’re a skeleton!” Sanji hollers back at him, annoyed
“Stop!”
Brook stills for a second, taking over the ghost that was, at this point, in front of them
“You’re a child…”
“I’m sorry! Please don’t hurt me!”
“Hey, Hey, it’s okay; we have no intentions of hurting you,” Sanji said, kneeling down to her level and trying to ease her down
Brook sheaths his sword once again. He looked around once again, still perplexed at this place
“You live here, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” she said, sniffling
“Where are your Parents?” he asked, despite deep down already knowing the answer
“They all died, rain never came, and food ran out.“ she cried
“I stayed, but I saw momma starve, I saw papa starve, and no one came back.”
Brook and Sanji, both still at that, memories both flooding their minds at the story of the small girl
“So you stayed here, alone, by yourself, all by yourself,” Brook muttered
“I am deeply sorry, little Madam; I know the feeling very well.”
After the words had been spoken a sudden chill filled the air, snow beginning to blast around them as white began to cover the room they stood in
Sanji looks up at the spectable and back down at the girl, quick to understand the connection between the two
“Shut up! You don’t, you don’t know what it feels like!” She screams, eyebrows furrowed, eyes filled with both fury and pain
“Yes, I do,” The skeleton spoke
“LIAR” she growled as hail began to fall around them
“I cannot relate to starving to death, but I can relate to having to watch everyone around you die while you remain.”
“You’re lying!.” She hisses
“I am not lying to you, Madam,” He says calmly
“My whole crew died in front of me.”
The raging storm around them begins to lessen around them at the comment, furious winds going down to a cold breeze brushing against them as the girl stared wide eyes at the swordsman
“T-they died?” she said, stepping closer to the skeleton
“They did.”
She walks towards him
“But you stayed? Alone?”
“I did.”
With that the wind around them stilled, the snow that pelted them before now falling melancholically from the ceiling
“It hurts…” she cries
“I know, little Madam,” he says, opening his arms, signaling her to come closer
She runs to him, sobbing in his arms
“I miss Mama; I miss Papa!”
Brook wraps his embrace around the young girl, slowly rocking her back and forth
“Don’t cry; it will be okay. “
She turned her head to look at the blond man
“Did you stay behind, too?” She asked between her sobs and hacks
“Not quite,” Sanji replies
“I… I know what it is to starve, however,” He said, putting his hand over her head
“I got washed to an uninhabitable land with…my father. Our resources eventually ran out. I had thought father had more food and went after him only to find out he had given his rations to me, and he had taken to eat his own leg to survive.”
“It hurt so much, the pangs, I couldn’t stop them, I couldn’t get up,” she weeped
“I know…im sorry, i’m sorry” he whispered
“Little Madam, this snowstorm, it’s your doing, isn’t it?” Brook replied, sitting down with Sanji and Dokucha next to him; once the girl had calmed down
“It is…I’m sorry I kept Mister Brook and Mister Sanji and their friends here, but… it’s been so long since I saw someone, and I got excited, but you were about to leave, and I … I didn’t want to be alone again.”
“Don’t apologize. Your intentions were not to hurt us, and I’m grateful because we got to meet you,” Sanji replies to the little girl
“How long have you been living here by yourself?” Brook asked curious
She shrugs
“A long time”
Sanji and Brook glanced at each other; at that moment, the two men had silently agreed to something; they were not leaving this place without the girl
“Dokucha, why don’t you come with us?” asked Sanji
“Come with you?”
Sanji nods. “Yes, you know a ship? Where we all live. A ship with a nice kitchen, and plenty of others that will always look out for you”
“You want me?”
“Of course!” Brook says, reaching out his hand toward her
“Come on, you're not staying.”
“You will love our Captain, you know? He won’t leave without you either.”
“Are you sure?”
The two men nodded with a smile on their face
“Of course, of course! Now, come on! Yohohoho,” Brook said, standing up, grabbing the girl, throwing her in the air, and laughing further when the girl let out an airy string of elated giggles at the action
“We won’t let you be alone anymore.”
“And I will never let you be hungry ever again, you hear?”
“Thank you, Misters, Thank you!” she cried, hugging the skeleton’s neck, more tears cascading down her eyes at the turn of events
“I have never been happier than I am now,” she confesses
“Yohohoho, I know that feeling as well, little Madam!”
“Don’t cry, and don’t worry, if you ever feel alone, if you ever feel lonely, you can always come and talk to us, alright?” He says to her
“The crew and us will always make some time for you, so you won’t be alone again.”
Who the hell is cutting onions? Im not crying you are 😭

Sleep (side story)
So, this was fun to write. I changed POV twice in there but it should be easy to track. I tried to experiment with Dawn and Scozar’s POV so the style isn’t perfect but I’m getting somewhere. Enjoy.
Us and The Pillars were “observing” the galaxy outside the ship. We could not perceive it but The Kerox and The Human seemed entranced by the view. Despite living for so long, we can never experience everything.
The Kerox and The Human seemed to finally believe they have at least one thing in common: they appreciated the world around them. It was the path to acknowledge their resemblances.
What a beautiful sight.
The Human’s voice arrived to us through the translator, melodious, smooth, full of variation.
-It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
The Kerox responded, confident, lively, primitive.
-It is. But no sight will be more beautiful than my home.
The Human opened her mouth wide and put a hand in front of it. When she tried to answer, her words were distorted.
-Yeah, if you say so.
-Is this a threat? Would you like to fight me over this?
-No, I’m tired.
-I don’t see the link.
-It was a yawn, not an aggression. I’m tired, this is why I did this.
-Don’t do that again.
-I can’t help it.
-You can’t even control your own body and you want to control the entire ship.
-I don’t want to control the ship, I’m the pilot- we already went over this.
Their conversations were always so lively. They expressed so much in their tone of voice and their posture. They put emotions in their words with such ease. We mustn’t forget their emotions can escalate easily.
The Kerox wanted to continue the conversation despite the rising tension.
-We didn’t finish this argument.
-And I’m too tired to continue.
-Would you surrender then?
-Not surrender. It’s going to be a tactical retreat to better kick your scaly a-
-No “tactical retreat” will grant you a victory against me.
-You know what? I’m going to bed either way.
And so, The Human left. We didn’t need to move to know they were already at the door. The Kerox stayed there. He knew to love the beauty of the world for a little longer.
———
We and The Kerox were in the “living room” as The Human called it or the “gatherings” as The Kerox said. Those were such nice ways of describing the place we and he were in.
The Kerox was cleaning his spear quietly, sharpening it with care, when his head rose up towards us.
-The Human still isn’t there. Is she plotting something?
We pondered. The Human was not one to plot someone else’s demise although they could do so with ease. We understood she had an imaginative mind, filled with creations and ideas. She was indeed one to think, shallowly or deeply.
The Kerox walked towards us, his voice coming to us:
-Will you answer me at once? You’re taking your time.
-We believe we and you are not in an emergency, we need time to answer your question.
-Instead of thinking, we’ll find the human.
We stood up and followed The Kerox. He seemed agitated. Despite this he commended:
-You go to the pilot’s room and then the reactor core.
We admired his capacity to think fast in times of perceived crisis. But a rushed thought can also lead to a disaster. It is good to have a great amount of information in that case.
-Where would you go in the meantime?
-It’s none of your business. When you’re done you come back to the gatherings and wait there for more orders.
We got on our four legs and went into the corridors. Checking regularly our surroundings for the physical form of The Human. But we knew The Human was resting in her quarters.
We stopped in the middle of the corridor. Our thoughts conflicted. Should we do as The Kerox said? Should we chose against it and see The Human were she was?
One thing was sure, we should wait and think before taking any decision.
———
Scozar did good on keeping The Primavix away from the human. He didn’t want them to have many occasions to talk to her privately.
Contrarily to them, he had a plan ready. He knew exactly where she was. It didn’t take him long to find her den. He braced himself for the illuminated place he would find himself in.
He opened the door only to find the room plunged in darkness. Strange. He thought humans were uncomfortable in the dark. She might want to sacrifice comfort in favour of a surprise attack.
It is a strategy that would work for most adversaries. It wouldn’t work with him of course. Scozar would see the warmth of her body first.
He looked around the place, examining it for any kind of traps. The walls were bland, the room was unchanged except for more pieces of furniture. It looked like the room had been made with the human in mind. Not only this room, the whole ship gave off this impression.
He walked while making sure to stay near the walls. A speck of warmth caught his eyes, there was another room, how much of the ship did she think she deserved? The room he was in was merely a small private gatherings, it seemed like.
He entered the other room. The human was laying on what looked like a soft headland. Humans were so weak and fragile they even needed to sleep on soft things, it seemed.
But something was definitely wrong with her. She didn’t move. Scozar thought the human would be more aware of her surroundings in an environment she wasn’t comfortable in. But it didn’t seem to be the case.
Maybe she used the same tactics as the warriors of his land, she didn’t move to blend in. But then again, he doubted the human could think of something like this, she was usually more inclined to fight him head first like a good warrior. Although, sometimes, a good warrior was one who knew how to trick his opponents.
Another thought came to him. What if she was dead? It would be a shame for her to die outside of battle. If so, what did a human look like when they were dead? Her body temperature was slightly colder but it couldn’t mean anything especially since it was so minor.
Scozar listened. Her body rumbled and growled as usual. But there was something different. All the sounds were there but something had changed. He couldn’t quite place it.
———
We arrived in The Human’s quarters. We knew The Kerox was right next to The Human. Her integral form was untouched. The Kerox was standing beside her.
We came in the other room on our four legs. We stood beside The Kerox who’s head turned towards us. He asked:
-Is she dead?
We checked her body from our position. Her physical form came back to us in rapid succession. She was not completely still. It seemed like her metabolism had slowed. It had slowed so much that she wasn’t conscious anymore, in a dead-like state. It was uncommon, however we used to have a good friend who was just like that.
-It reminds me-
-Answer my question Primavix.
We didn’t need to answer. The Human had stood up. Her voice came, raspier than usual.
-What are you doing in my room?
The Kerox didn’t wait to tell her:
-I thought you weakling had died from nothing.
-Hold on, I don’t have my translator.
-Stop disrespecting me.
The Human fumbled a little before tapping on a small button on her table. The Kerox reacted to this action. She then put a small piece of technology on her ear. She asked:
-What?
-What were you doing?
-I was asleep. What were you doing?
-You shouldn’t disappear for too long.
-Or else what? You’ll be worried?
-Human, I could easily crush you if you ever tried plotting something away from us. Don’t use this kind of strategy.
-Wow. I didn’t know you would be this paranoid. Good news, I was just sleeping. Now get out of my room.
-You will come with us.
-No.
-No?
-No. I have a few hours of sleep to catch up.
-You would willingly go back to the vulnerable state you were in?
-Yes. Out.
This answer gave us a new appreciation of The Human. The Human embodied the cycle of life and death. She understood the necessity of it and how much of a benediction it can be. It was beautiful.
We didn’t want The Kerox to interrupt it.
-We and you shall wait for The Human to finish sleeping.
The Kerox stopped. He pondered on our words. He was respectful of us. Finally, he asked The Human:
-How long will it take?
-As long as it will take. Leave me be.
Those were such wise words from The Human. A cycle like this cannot be rushed nor stretched. It simply happened when it did.
And so we and The Kerox left. It was an honour to know a member of another species so accepting of death in its most simple form. The death of the body was an important part of The Human and it was beautiful.

I truly didn’t realize that the SJM fandom isn’t the only fandom that’s extremely toxic towards fans. I’ve heard about SU, I’ve heard about others, but I really didn’t expect the Six Of Crows Fandom to act this way.
I know there’s a general dislike for Kuwei Yul Bo because he got in the way of the Wesper ship, but I’ve been seeing fans attack Kuwei fans for no reason??
That’s a fifteen year old child lmao. He’s two years younger than most of the crows, lost his father, lost everything he knew, and then almost lost his life because of the plan in Crooked Kingdom.
I haven’t read the books in a few years but I love Kuwei, and again while I understand not liking a character, I can’t believe there’s people who will attack fans for liking him.
Also while I’m here, I’m going to say it:
I did not give a shit about the accidental kissing the wrong person drama. I didn’t. It felt painfully “highschool drama” compared to the rest of the book, which of course they’re highschool age it makes sense, but I genuinely didn’t care when the stakes of the plot were so high. I love Jesper, I love Wylan, and I love Kuwei. Once again I will push my poly agenda

Creating Tragedy Through Human Error
One of my favorite sci-fi movies is Sunshine (07). In it, a team of highly skilled scientists is sent on a mission to our dying sun to essentially nuke the core to restart nuclear fusion and keep the star alive. They are aboard the Icarus II, the second attempt by a slowly-freezing Earth to attempt this hail mary, after Icarus I was lost. When the team stumbles upon the Icarus I’s distress signal, they have to make a choice: Detour to potentially save survivors and get double the payload (a second chance if they miss or it fails), or waste more time that Earth doesn’t really have straying from their mission.
They decide to detour, reward worth the risk, and when the ship changes trajectory, part of it becomes exposed to the intense heat of the sun outside the ship’s solar shield, and catches fire, burning up their only way to refresh their oxygen. Now, they have no choice to find Icarus I both for the payload and any chance of making it home, and chaos ensues for the rest of the movie.
The whole inciting incident for this chaos isn’t detecting the Icarus I’s signal, it’s the failure on part of the flight engineer to properly account for shifting their solar shield when they change course. It’s a simple, yet catastrophic human error, and he takes it incredibly hard—if the mission fails and they all asphyxiate before the payload can deliver, he will have killed Earth’s last chance for survival. All because he did some math wrong.
—
There’s something brutally tragic about a disaster that comes not from without, but within. Sunshine would have had the exact same stakes if the solar shield had simply malfunctioned and it was fate or the power of god that had killed them. Based on the name for their ship—Icarus—one can assume that human error, human overconfidence, flew them too close to the sun.
Sometimes shit just breaks. Sometimes the tech doesn’t work. Sometimes the bullet misses in a freak gust of wind. It’s a random fender bender on the highway. Not saying these plots are wrong at all, and having a character feeling like fate and the universe are against them is a compelling enough premise on its own.
But some of my favorite tragedies are tragedies because it all could have been avoided if one character made a different choice. One of my favorite TV shows has a climax where everything they’ve been working for, everything they’ve fought for all boils down to successfully inputting a code into a thing for a Sunshine-esque world revival. They’re winning the race, gaining ground, they’re at the console, the villains have lost. Meanwhile, the lone team member back home coordinating everything chooses to ignore a phone call from their allies because he’s busy and thinks they’re far less important. The villains then take these allies captive and hold them hostage—hand over the code or the innocent bystanders die right before their eyes—and the heroes balk, the consequences of which are devastating.
Had this one character stopped, thought, and not dismissed their allies’ call for help, none of this would have happened. Sure the villains could have shown up out of nowhere with them with zero buildup and just said “we caught them offscreen, uh, doesn’t matter how” and the choice would have been as agonizing to watch, but knowing it all happened because one character couldn’t be bothered makes it so much worse.
—
Some things to consider about doing this:
Try to avoid deus and diablos ex machinas. The latter tends to receive less backlash, because shit going wrong for no reason is less story-ruining than shit going right for no reason, but you can do better
This is high above a character simply forgetting about a macguffin or forgetting important information or something conveniently breaking or failing to turn on at the last second for no reason other than to be dramatic, this is something that the audience might not see coming before it happens, but understands immediately once the damage is done.
If you’re going to make it a fault of a character, make sure it’s a fault that character already has, a choice they would realistically make, instead of randomly making them an idiot to further the plot
Up to you whether you want the characters to realize the human error in all this. In Sunshine, that was the whole point, in the tv episode, I don’t think they ever connected the dots, but we did as the audience.
Typically, these are tragedies, and the choice that was made is irreversible. The character who makes it either dies regretting everything, or has to live regretting everything, but there is no quick fix. It’s not a quick “oops let me correct that,” it’s devastating.
Hope this helps, now get writing!

What did you think about Sparklecare (and by extension Cometcare) before the doc dropped? Personally, I was a lurker too.
I only really even talked about it to friends to complain about things I disliked about both (the worldbuilding surrounding sex, I REALLY disliked Sly being bullied by Eve and Norma being played for laughs as someone who has a extremely strained relationship with my sister who didnt like me since I was born, etc) but I used to think it was an okay enough, flawed webcomic overall. I agreed with a lot of Sparklecrit takes too.
But now, I cant help but see Cometcare at least in a brand new light. Sparklecare too, but I suppose since the 'secret canon' wouldnt be relevant for a long time in the main comic, its to a lesser extent.
Prior to the document’s release, I had… very mixed feelings about Sparkle/Cometcare.
SC: I really only liked Volume 1 and 2, after that, they lost their charm. The plot became more ship-focused rather than actual corrupt medical experiences, which is what the comic is advertised to be. Not to mention, the woobification of characters.
Uni being my prime example, I absolutely adore Volume 1 Uni, he had character that made him definable. With his “swag bro” talk and general slyness, it made him a very fun and lovable character. After Volume 2, Uni started to become this “cutie who does no wrong” and turned into a bland, emotionless character. Uni literally only exists to be victimized in the comic at this point, and not to actually have character growth and depth. After shuffling through the leaked story, it seemed to be very clear that Uni remained one-dimensional for the rest of the story.
Doom is another good example of this, going from a corrupt nurse to a “nervous malewife who only works at the hospital to protect his sister, also he has a crush on Uni.” I much rather prefer when Doom was mean and gross, and the changes to the text in Volume 1 and 2 was the worst possible thing that could have happened.
Simply put, I’ve been extremely unsatisfied with the story now that Kittycorn decided to focus on shipping-slop of all things. Gross. Learning that Pollarrydoomi was to become a reality in the main comic didn’t exactly leave a good taste on my tongue. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the ship, but this is the furthest you could have strayed from the main plot of the comic.
CC: It was fun, but in terms of writing, it was pretty subpar. Taking it for what it is, it’s nothing more than a typical askblog comic. I really hate that half of the comet characters have little to no depth to them whatsoever.
Polly has not shown up more than a couple times, Frosty and Cream are rarely shown and when they are, they are extremely one-dimensional, the relationship between the kids and their parents aren’t really touched on and have to be read from Toyhou.se pages, Chem is a bland character that doesn’t have much interesting about them, I could go on and on about how uninteresting the cast is. Who gets development is very clearly favoritism.
It’s also very clear that Kittycorn has no actual grasp on what sibling relationships are like. I have ten siblings and almost none of the main dynamics shown in cometcare are realistic depictions in my experience, especially like the constant bullying of Sly, no sibling talks about another sibling’s masturbation habits that often. (Well, we know the source of this now that everything has come out, but still.)
Overall: The worldbuilding isn’t the worst thing in the world and I do enjoy some aspects of it, but it’s not really explained in the comics and have to be taken from the worldbuilding page only. (Which isn’t good for writing, show not tell!)
Kittycorn is just… not good at worldbuilding, at all. A lot of it is very convoluted and I find myself having to relook the worldbuilding page to remember what anything is supposed to represent. Not to mention the sex aspect is just really unnecessary and doesn’t make much sense logistically.
I was hoping this could be elaborated on in Kneeby’s other comics like South Esteam and Karmageddeon (Why is it spelled like that?) but I seriously doubt that it will ever get attention, the fact that Kittycorn expects to make 3 whole series with Sparklecare will have me wondering if this comic will ever be completed. 6 Pages a week is snail’s pace if you really wanted to do this. And since the ZCP is long gone, I expect it to take even longer.
A… lot of the context for SC/CC content has changed my views on it drastically, and a lot of it is the result of just bad writing, I enjoyed the preboot more than this.

Chapter Two: Knot My Best Day
This is what I image the cat character to look like (obviously change it to how you like) I think ive kept most (hopefully all) descriptions pretty reader neutral. It is a fem!reader x one piece Various, so booba and bum and stuff are mentioned (im a whore for cringe oooOOOooo sexy scenes, so get ready)
Currently up to Chapter 605 - Im trying to combine chapters so theyre longer and to make it less overwhelming. This has been my love child for the past 2 week or so. My hands hurt, my eyes are strained. But i love every second of it. Lot of this story will just be silly, day to day scenarios, but i think around chapter 550 (whoops) some sort of plot starts to form.
This is just gremlin, ADHD, coffee fueled word vomit, gently scooped into a pile labeled x reader :^) fair bit of ooc but blhenhan yknow?
Art is by me
Enjoy!!!
---------------
You were tied to the mast.
Not dramatically. Not like some grand villain caught mid-monologue. More like a squirmy raccoon caught raiding the kitchen, wrapped in a very secure knot made from very sturdy rope, with your tail twitching in muted outrage.
“I don’t see why this is necessary,” you muttered, chin resting on your knees. “I said I wouldn’t steal anything else.”
“You’re tied up because you can’t be trusted not to,” Nami replied, sitting on a nearby crate, arms crossed, watching you like a hawk watches a particularly annoying squirrel.
Luffy sat cross-legged in front of you, chewing meat and looking fascinated. “You’re really fuzzy. Is that your Devil Fruit?”
“Nope. Born this way.” You gave your arm a little flex. “Natural fuzz.”
Sanji leaned on the rail behind him, frowning slightly. “Still thinking about the sandwich…”
“I said I was sorry,” you grumbled. “It looked abandoned!”
“I set it down for five seconds!”
“It’s the ocean. Time works differently here.”
Zoro glanced over from where he was sharpening his swords. “Should’ve just tossed her overboard.”
“I can still hear you,” you said.
“Good.”
Chopper peeked around Robin’s leg, eyes wide. “So… do you always take stuff that isn’t yours?”
You considered that.
“Only when it’s shiny. Or valuable. Or... just kinda sitting there. Lonely. I’m really doing a service if you think about it.”
“You’re not,” Nami said, voice flat.
“But I could be useful!” you argued, leaning forward and immediately bonking your head against the mast. “Ow. Okay. Listen. I’m small. Fast. I can sneak into places. You’ve got, like, a whole fighting crew, right? I’m the ‘slip in and steal the keys’ type.”
“You mean the ‘slip in and steal literally everything else’ type,” Nami corrected.
You wiggled your fingers dramatically. “Details.”
“Prove it,” Luffy said, pointing a meat bone at you.
You blinked. “What?”
“Prove you’re useful,” he said with a grin. “Do something cool.”
“…I’m tied up.”
Luffy tilted his head. “That’s part of the test.”
You stared at him. “You want me to escape from ropes?”
“Yep.”
“…and if I do, you won’t throw me off the ship?”
He grinned wider. “Maybe!”
“Oh, great.”
You shuffled a little. The rope was tight, yeah, but not impossible. You’d been in worse binds—literally. You started wiggling your shoulders, then your hips, tail wrapping forward. There was a brief pause… and then a plop as something shiny fell out of your shirt.
“…Did you just—” Nami started.
“Unrelated,” you said quickly.
Two more coins fell out.
You cleared your throat, shifted your weight, and with one solid twist and a lot of muffled squeaking sounds, slip—you dropped onto the deck like a disgruntled sack of potatoes, completely free.
“TA-DA!”
The crew stared.
“I still think we should throw her off,” Zoro muttered.
“She’s got skills,” Robin noted with a small smile.
Sanji sighed. “She’s also now standing very close to my lighter.”
You grinned and held it up. “Oh, huh. Look at that.”
He snatched it back.
“Reflex,” you said, raising your hands. “Automatic. I’ll work on it.”
“You’re lucky Luffy likes weirdos,” Nami said, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Technically, I’m not a threat,” you said, walking toward the food barrel. “I just really, really like stuff.”
“And food,” Sanji muttered as you took an apple.
“And freedom,” you added, biting into it happily.
Luffy grinned at the others. “I think she’s fun.”
“I think she’s going to rob us blind in our sleep,” Nami muttered.
You waved, cheeks full of apple. “Not if you hide it better!”
The look she gave you could’ve cut through stone.
--------
Dinner on the Thousand Sunny was, by all accounts, supposed to be a civilized event. Food was made. People sat. Chatter happened. Sanji usually doted on Nami and Robin while Luffy tried to inhale everything within arm’s reach. Pretty standard.
That night, though? They had you.
And you were doing your best to look normal, which for you meant sitting cross-legged on a barrel with your plate, eyes darting around like a raccoon expecting someone to challenge you for your food. You were trying so hard to behave. No sticky fingers. No snide remarks. No stuffing silverware into your shirt just because it looked “neglected.”
You took a slow bite of meat, tail swishing behind you.
So far, so good.
“Glad to see you’re not stealing the salt shaker,” Nami muttered.
You glanced at the table. “...There’s a salt shaker?”
Zoro squinted at you. “How the hell did you survive this long?”
“Unholy levels of luck and a very punchable face,” you said proudly, flashing a half-toothed grin.
Chopper giggled, and you shot him finger guns. Accidentally dropped your fork. Caught it with your foot.
Luffy looked thoroughly impressed.
Sanji, meanwhile, served a fresh plate of fish and eyed you with suspicion. “If I catch you swiping anything off anyone’s plate, you’re skipping dessert.”
You gasped. “You do dessert?”
Robin sipped her tea. “Not if you behave like a gremlin.”
You leaned in. “What if I behave like a well-mannered gremlin?”
“That still sounds like a threat,” Nami muttered.
“C’mon, I haven’t done anything weird—”
Your tail knocked over a cup of juice.
“—on purpose,” you added quickly, trying to mop it up with your sleeve.
Usopp chuckled. “You’re like a walking disaster.”
“Excuse you. I am a sitting disaster right now.”
Another loud CRUNCH echoed as Luffy bit clean through a bone. You turned to him.
“Do you eat like that every meal?”
“Yep!”
You paused. “Do you chew gold?”
“Sometimes!”
You stared, then casually pushed your plate away, disturbed yet… mildly impressed.
Dinner mostly went okay after that. You didn’t steal anything major (unless you counted Sanji’s second bread roll, which he hadn’t been looking at, so it was basically fair game). You didn’t knock over any more cups. You even answered Chopper’s question about your claws with minimal dramatics.
“So you can retract them?” he asked, tilting his head.
“Yup! Part of the charm.”
Luffy, naturally, wanted to poke them. Zoro threatened to cut them off if you tried anything. You did, in fact, not try anything. Even though the butter knife next to your plate looked real collectible.
At the end of the meal, you stretched with a loud yawn, legs sprawled across the bench like you owned the place.
Nami narrowed her eyes. “...Where’s my spoon?”
“Which one?”
“The gold one I got on the last island.”
You blinked. Tilted your head.
“...Spoon?”
She stood up.
You grinned, sheepish. “Define ‘got’—”
She lunged across the table.
You bolted.
“GET BACK HERE!”
“I WAS BORROWING IT!”
Silverware clattered to the floor, Luffy was laughing, Chopper was yelling for you to stop, and Sanji was screaming about his table being disrespected.
Meanwhile, you were halfway up the mast again, clutching the shiny spoon in one hand and your dignity in the other.
“Best dinner I’ve had in weeks!” you called down.
Robin smiled. “I think she fits in just fine.”
Zoro grunted. “She’s a pain.”
“She’s a broke pain,” Nami snapped from the deck. “I’m shaking her upside down after dessert.”
“Joke’s on you,” you shouted, tail flicking triumphantly. “I already ate it!”

Summary:
"You promised. You said you'd stick with me, and all of a sudden one visit from the Ravens is all it takes for you to fuck off north and leave? That's not fair, Andrew. You know it isn't." Andrew finally turned back around, a cold, cruel smile curving about his lips. "Life isn't fair, clone. I was clear the first time, no? After graduation, the deal's off." ------------------------ A year ago, Andrew Minyard signed with the Edgar Allan Ravens. Aaron wound up as backliner for the Palmetto State Foxes, only ever knowing his brother in passing and in name. But something's changed, and now it's only a matter of time before somebody else catches on. Andrew's in danger. So Aaron is going to get him back. or, aaron minyard pulls the world's most dangerous twin swapsies
Kevin x Jean: Built to fall apart and fall back together by snnycarisi 31,000 words, immediately post tsc, getting together

Unfortunately, he also likes using his assets to their full potential. Soon after being acquired by Ichirou Moriyama, Kevin finds himself on an errand to Japan with his former teammate, under the guise of a PR tour to distract the media and the public from his real mission. Sorry for ranting in your asks but I need to get this off my chest!
As someone who isn’t involved in the fandom LTD and has been a massive FF7 superfan since OG back when I was a kid, it’s mind boggling to see how badly CA fans warp and misunderstand the story. I honestly have to wonder if they know any of the plot beats outside of their CA bubble. CTs see the big picture, while CAs isolate moments from the overarching narrative without any contextualization. This, for me, isn’t about shipping. I don’t care who Cloud is endgame with as long as it makes sense to the rest of the story. What I do care about is the absolute butchering of story I love to champion a myopic view of the narrative.
The way they downplay every other character as blurs in the background to Cloud & Aerith is frustrating as well. CAs only bring up other characters in context to those two without at all championing their original stories. Do they just mash the buttons through every scene featuring anyone but Cloud or Aerith? It’s mind boggling to witness, especially as someone who cherishes each individual character arc and understands that everything is integral to the narrative. It’s not the Cloud&Aerith show, it’s Final Fantasy 7.
Anyway sorry hope you have a lovely day lol
They don't play the game, so no button mashing to begin with. They watch edited scenes on YouTube and tiktok and then go on twitter to scream at anyone who tries to explain why they're so fucking dumb.
And I would say the erasure of the party is because the party all go on about Cloud and Tifa's bond. Not to mention aerith ignores bonding with the party aside from some surface level convos about herself. She has no meaningful conversation with anyone, and that includes Cloud.
I honestly don't understand why the devs made this whole premise of how cherished she is when she spent 3 weeks playing around and not getting to know anyone. If it isn't about her then she spends her time trying to steal Cloud from Tifa or high fiving while giggling.
She's a character of zero depth.
The more I think about it, the more I question why they couldn't use Ifalna who is an actual cetra. They party could've had a mother figure along with them who ultimately dies and imo that would've had a more solid lasting impact than "she was pink and sparkly and we feel bad she died."
Vincent has attachment to Lucrecia, the mother of Sephiroth.
Cid was attached to Ifalna thanks to some random paper thin story stitching in Rebirth.
Reeve was estranged from his mother Ruvie, but we know he loved her from the handkerchief he showed Denzel in case of Denzel.
Barret has Marlene, who is motherless because of his actions.
Tifa's mother died young.
Cloud lost his mother in the nibelheim incident.
Yuffie's mother is never mentioned, so the assumption is she died in the wutai war.
Red adored his brave mother who died defending the canyon.
See? The connection to mothers was present in OG because they made Jenova the anti-mother, but never considered using an actual mother character in the opposing role. Instead they stuffed a character who acts like a 12 yr old while claiming she's motherly, but never showing that. Not ever. Not in AC, not in OtWtaS, not in OG or 7R.
You can't just say a character is motherly and not show it. Even lil kids know to act like a mummy when they play mummies and daddies ffs. They should've just used Ifalna and left Aerith in the monster bestiary for ffv where they dragged her out from.

prospect of soriku being official
//as im writing this is realized that soriku is already canon lmao but whether or not theyre gonna be official: Normally, if the ship’s dynamic is only going one way (it’s only riku that is in love with sora), or if the writer isn’t as crazy as TETSUYA NOMURA who fought with disney to include pixar into kh3 and actually made the crazy concept of disney x final fantasy x oc: kh sale-able…. then yeah i would have said no.
so do i think soriku is gonna be official? Again i don’t want to bring anyone and my hopes up but based on my analysis, yeah.
+ with the history of square enix and disney releasing queer characters in the past (although it’s not represented well with sales issues i assume??) i think it’s likely. the only hindrance is kh not selling enough or the series getting cancelled, aka homophobia.
but if soriku is actually official im p sure it’ll happened at the end of the series, marking the end of kingdom hearts as a whole and it would be very subtle, not in your face kissing, i love you kinda way. And it’s probably confirmed in an interview, and probably be more of a confirmation of their feeling and the wrap up of their dance w each other:
Riku: do you really want to spend the rest of your forever with me?
Sora: i do, want that
which actually happened btw back in the end of kh2 so canon soriku might as well already been in a situationship under the title of bffs which makes it even more romantic and-
god i love queer ships everything about it feels so genuine and right and just romantic even if the masses calls us delusional, because the implications are there and even if it’s not outright stated, the meaning is still there
riku and sora are literally soulmates: romantic love, platonic love, you cant deny that they care and live for the other and that they came as a set they cant be seperated 😭
is soriku even canon??? Well YES i think soriku is canon in the series right now but they probably haven't tied the knot yet or something
like come on bro, kh4 is literally going to be: riku dragging sora back to destiny island and i haven't mentioned kh2: sora dragging riku to destiny island and ddd: riku being sora’s dream eater, like ITS THE PLOT? 😭😭 and even if soriku is not the plot, it WILL be in one way or another, that’s crazy
