so you asked about my notion setup and i'm soo excited to share because i've gone through approximately 500 iterations before finding what actually works for me! and by "works" i mean i've stuck with it for more than 3 weeks which is honestly a personal record.

the thing with notion is that it's so customizable it can be overwhelming?? like, i spent more time watching "perfect aesthetic notion tour" videos than actually using the app for the first month. classic me behavior.

⋆.ೃ࿔:･ getting started (without spiraling) ･:࿔ೃ.⋆

first things first - don't try to set up your entire life system at once! i made this mistake and abandoned notion for 2 months because it felt too overwhelming.

start with ONE area that's currently chaotic in your life. for me it was school assignments because i kept forgetting deadlines until 11pm the night before (and then panicking while eating peanut butter straight from the jar… not recommended).

my biggest tip is to not get caught up in making it pretty right away. i know that's like, counterintuitive coming from me, but functionality first, then we make it cute!

homepage: i have a super simple homepage with links to my main dashboards (school, blog, personal) and a little daily quote that changes. also a tiny photo of my cat judging me for motivation.

school dashboard: this is my most used section! i have a calendar view of assignments, a database of all my classes with linked notes, and reading tracker. the best part is the assignment database where i can filter by due date and subject.

blog dashboard: where i keep all my post ideas (like this one!), content calendar, and stats tracking. i also have a section for brands i want to work with someday (manifesting!).

personal dashboard: this has my habit tracker, journal prompts, and goals. i also keep recipes here because i was tired of screenshots getting lost in my camera roll.

reading nook: where i track books i've read/want to read with little ratings and notes. sometimes i write embarrassingly emotional reactions to plot twists that no one else will ever see.

okay so beyond the basic setup, here are things that have made notion actually useful for me:

templates!! i have templates for everything - blog posts, class notes, weekly planning. it saves so much time not starting from scratch.

linked databases are literally magic. i can have the same information show up in different places filtered different ways. like my assignments appear on my homepage as "due this week" but in my school dashboard i can see everything.

embeds are underrated. i embed my spotify playlists, google calendar, and pinterest boards so everything's in one place.

toggle lists for anything lengthy. they keep things looking clean but you can expand when needed.

color coding that actually means something. i used to just pick pretty colors but now each color has a purpose (red = urgent, blue = school, pink = blog, etc).

once the functionality is working, THEN we make it cute:

i use a consistent color palette across all pages (mostly soft pinks, lavender, and sage green)

custom icons for each page (there are free packs online or you can use emojis)

cover images that are cohesive (i use pinterest)

font consistency! i stick with the same headings and text styles

little decorative dividers between sections (just search "aesthetic dividers" and you'll find tons)

the truth is my notion isn't instagram-perfect all the time. some sections get messy when life gets busy, and that's fine! the beauty of it is you can always clean it up later.

the pages i actually use daily are pretty simple. it's the ones i rarely visit that look the most aesthetic (because they're not battle-tested with real life, lol).

start simple, find what actually helps you, and then make it pretty enough that you want to use it. that's the real secret!

How to actually communicate with the "dead" and how to know if they're actually there.

First of all, Happy Halloween and listen carefully because most of these are crucial. I have been gifted at the age of four, thinking my ability was merely imagination, but most of the coincidences that occur to me have become frequent. Now, this is an ACTUAL way to identify 'dead people' but rather spirits and how to communicate with them. Take note, not all spirits will communicate the same way. PLEASE DO NOT EVER. EVER. Use this as an entertainment guide. It's rather offensive, and this was not written for entertainment but educational purposes and based on experience, and it is not used to call out or shame any paranormal entertainers.

How to identify a Spirit?

Strange Smells that aren't there. (Most Common Scents: Fresh Blood (Almost Sweet), Floral (Powdery Floral Scent), Garbage, Cold Air

Auditory: Mostly Laughter or Footsteps

Peripheral: Sights of Shadows Passing By (Commonly Found Passing to Bathrooms or Any Room That's Dark/Quiet or with Mirrors), Bright Orbs, Figures (May Be Objects)

Shift in Temperatures : Commonly, a cold room or cold breeze.

How to Communicate/ How Do They Communicate?

Firstly, I want to remind you of the rules. Be respectful, do NOT taunt the spirits, set boundaries, do not let them touch you, or give them permission to interact or harm you, and don't ask how they died or when (most of them are unaware of it and it may offend them or cause a harmful mood. This is for especially wondering spirits.) Another thing to remind you, is do not force them to interact if they don't want to. You can't always expect a reaction as not all of them are the same. Some are weaker. Spirits are more active around November 1st on an evening.

Divination: You can use tarot cards, which I recommend the most. The Ouija Board is just another form of divination, and the glass of the board is what helps them communicate as it is a symbol of another world and also used as portals.

Dreams: This one is the most dangerous one. They can actually harm you, and I have been attacked once.

Mind: This is the most common one used by spirits, including trickster spirits. Have you ever 'talked' to yourself, and sometimes you ask questions that only another person could know with the knowledge of that question. You could possibly be communicating with an entity, and yes, it is possible to summon them by thinking about them. There have actually been stories of this, and it's quite common to be noted as a 'miracle'.

Objects: Some used objects are the ones with electricity and, most commonly, EMF meters. The reason they are used is because our body releases something like electricity. That's why sometimes you may end up zap people with that charged energy.

Looking for a Coven/Witch Group.

I'm looking for a group that is eclectic or well anyone who's respectful of eachothers craft and supportive so we can learn together. This is also open for beginner witches.

Requirements:

Attempt #5 at Affiliate Marketing & Attempt #7 at Blogging

Today, I’m taking a deep breath and diving into my fifth attempt at affiliate marketing and my seventh attempt at writing a blog. If I’m being honest, it feels like I’m swimming against the tide—no audience, no consistent engagement, and no clear roadmap. But here’s the thing: I’m not giving up. This time, I’m committing to consistency, even if I don’t see immediate results.

So far, every attempt has felt like a crash course in what not to do. I’ve tried different niches, experimented with platforms, and even splurged on tools and subscriptions that promised to make things easier—spoiler alert: they didn’t. It’s frustrating, and sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel, but there’s this tiny voice in my head that keeps saying, “What if this time it works?”

My goals are simple yet daunting: to build a following, create content that resonates, and eventually earn some passive income. The challenge is figuring out what to write about and how to stand out in an oversaturated digital world. Do people want how-to guides? Personal stories? Product reviews? Or should I switch to another platform entirely?

I know there are plenty of people who’ve been in my shoes and turned it around, so if anyone reading this has advice, I’m all ears.

Here’s what I’m planning to do differently this time:

Consistency: I’ll set a schedule and stick to it. Even if it’s just one post a week, I’ll show up.

Engagement: I want to interact with readers (when I get some!) and focus on creating a community, not just content.

Learning: I’ll dive into free resources and maybe take a couple of courses to sharpen my skills.

I’d love to hear from you. What kind of content do you enjoy reading? Are there specific topics you’d like me to explore? Do you think affiliate marketing and blogging are still worth pursuing in 2025, or should I pivot to something else, like TikTok or YouTube?

If you surrender to the air, you can ride it. How does it connect back to our inner energy? Our fuel to push forward in creative pursuits?

I looked up the quote and saw these two interpretations:

these were just random thoughts from the internet but they really spoke to me. If you surrender to the air, you can ride it, if you let go of it all, commit to it all, and accept the sacrifices, you can have it all. you are able to fly.

Allowing your will to become one with the universe, allowing yourself to lean in and let go all at once.

I see this quote and imagine standing on the ledge of a building, leaning out, bending almost all the way forward, sticking one leg up in the air behind you, other foot going up on your tip toes, and you're in a delicate balance, and you are one with the wind, you do not fall.

What does it mean to surrender? Its funny, I was listening to a podcast from sigh swoon this week, and, she talks about the book the surrender experiment by Micheal a singer, she talked so much about how things just flowed for him and have flowed for herself when she just does things as she is called naturally to them throughout her life. When you're trying to unblock yourself, let things go, allow yourself to be on the path you are feeling most called too, things just flow.

Life is not happening to you, it happens from you, and the more you can listen and be one with everything, the more you can get to wear you want be- in a place where you feel good.

This is really a bit of an affirmation for me this week and this whole post is just a reminder to myself. you have to surrender. the air is calling you. life to be lived.

Butterflies remind us to trust our transformational process, especially when it feels dark and cramped. It can be painful and difficult when we outgrow a belief, relationship, job, or habit because we are moving from something we understand to the shadowy underworld of the unknown. Growth can feel like intense upheaval and things falling apart. It can feel like endlessly waiting in a tiny chrysalis. During the change of a caterpillar into a butterfly, it is extremely violent and dramatic for the caterpillar to digest itself to undergo its metamorphosis. This process may feel horrifying and confusing, but on the other side are things it doesn't even understand are possible in its current form. On the other side is flight. On the other side is unimaginable insight, expansion, and connection. This is discomfort that is worthwhile and meaningful. Growing pains, like labour pains, usher in beautiful new life.
