Witchy Self-Care
*pulls out draft from over a year ago* ENJOY
Hi! this is a list of witchy self-care things you can do. Most of these are pretty basic on account that i wrote this ages ago but they definitely still work. Anyways, I hope these help :)
Do the dishes and dedicate it to your house spirit (if you have one) or a deity (if you're religious)
sweep/mop your floor in the shape of sigils
add rosemary (or rosemary water/essential oils) to the water you mop with to set an intention of cleansing
taking ritual a bath/shower
cleansing your energy. it's so basic but I forget more than i'd like to admit
dedicating time to yourself. it's just as important as dedicating time to your deities/other spirits
light shadow work or going to therapy. bettering your mental health also betters your spiritual.
go outside and ground yourself
take a nap (less witchy, more, I love naps. rest is important)
work out/stretch and dedicate it to an entity
do some gratitude
take 5 minutes to just sit and turn off your devices. you can use this time for anything, just take a second to get off screens and connect with the world around you
meditate. if you can't sit still long enough to meditate, just focus on taking 3 deep breathes
when you wash your face, draw sigils on your face with the cleanser and moisturiser
^do the same as above but with your body wash and when you wash your hair
say some affirmations/manifestations while brushing your teeth
just check in with yourself and see how you're feeling spiritually, psychically and emotionally. sometimes we don't actually know how we're feeling until we sit down and actually ask ourselves.
If anyone has any more to add please comment. I'll add them to the list (with credit of course)

Beauty Magic Ideas for Soft, Feminine Rituals
1. Perfume as an Aura Activator
Charge your favorite perfume under the full moon. Spray in a heart shape over your body
Set an intention with each spritz:
“I attract love.” / “I radiate calm.” / “I am irresistible.”
2. Lip Gloss Glamour Spell
Before applying gloss, whisper your desire into the tube
Use colors intentionally:
• Pink = love & charm
• Red = passion & power
• Nude = honesty & connection
Apply in front of a mirror and say: “My words are sweet and magnetic.”
3. Crystal-Infused Skincare
Keep rose quartz or amethyst near your skincare products
Use a crystal roller with affirmations like:
“I glow from within.” or “I am radiant, soft, and powerful.”
4. Moon Bath Beauty
Take a ritual bath on the full moon with rose petals, milk, honey, or bath oils
Set a candle near the tub and imagine the water cleansing your energy
End with body lotion or oil applied like a soft love spell
5. Hair Brushing Spell
Brush your hair slowly and lovingly, visualizing strength, beauty, and clarity
Say: “With every brushstroke, I clear stagnant energy and restore my shine.”
Bonus: use rosemary or lavender-infused hair oil for goddess energy
6. Mirror Affirmation Ritual
Light a candle or wear your favorite gloss
Look into your eyes and say:
“I am beauty. I am softness. I am worthy of everything I desire.”
7. Nail Polish Manifestation
Paint your nails while focusing on a specific goal
Colors as magic:
• White = clarity
• Pink = self-love
• Green = abundance
• Black = protection
Let each stroke “seal” your intention

I got some messages that asked me to explain a bit more about scrying, and I wanted to make a separate post to clarify this method of divination from my main post on commonly used divination methods. So, let's dive in!
Scrying is a form of divination that involves gazing into a reflective surface or medium to receive insights, visions, or messages from the spiritual realm. It's a practice that has been used by various cultures and civilizations throughout history, dating back to ancient times.
1. Cultural and Historical Significance: Scrying has been practiced by cultures around the world for thousands of years. It has roots in ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, Rome, and China, where it was used for divination, spiritual guidance, and accessing hidden knowledge.
2. Psychic Abilities: Some practitioners believe that scrying can help enhance psychic abilities such as clairvoyance (seeing visions), clairaudience (hearing messages), and clairsentience (feeling energies). By quieting the mind and opening oneself to the messages of the spiritual realm, practitioners may strengthen their intuitive faculties.
3. Modern Applications: While scrying has ancient origins, it continues to be practiced today by witches, psychics, and spiritual seekers around the world. Modern practitioners may incorporate scrying into their magical or spiritual practices, using it as a tool for guidance, insight, and personal growth.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂
Here are some key aspects of the practice of scrying:
⦿ Tools: Scrying can be performed using a variety of tools, including: -> Crystal balls: Smooth, polished spheres made of crystal or glass. -> Black mirrors: Mirrors with a dark, reflective surface, often made of obsidian or other black stones. -> Bowls of water: Still water in a dark-colored or reflective bowl.- Flame: Gazing into the flame of a candle or fire. ⦿ Preparation: Before scrying, it's important to prepare yourself and your space. This may involve cleansing and consecrating your scrying tool, setting a sacred space for your practice, and quieting your mind through meditation or relaxation techniques. ⦿ Technique: To scry, you fix your gaze on the surface of the scrying tool while allowing your mind to relax and enter a receptive state. You may begin to see images, symbols, or visions appear in the reflective surface. It's important to maintain a soft focus and an open mind, allowing the messages to come through naturally. ⦿ Interpretation: After a scrying session, it's helpful to journal your experiences and interpretations. Pay attention to any symbols, images, or feelings that came up during the session and reflect on their significance. Trust your intuition and the guidance you receive from the spiritual realm. ⦿ Types of Scrying: While the most common form of scrying involves gazing into a reflective surface, there are other variations of the practice as well. This includes water scrying (gazing into bodies of water), fire scrying (gazing into flames), and even scrying using smoke or clouds. ⦿ Uses: Scrying can be used for various purposes, including divination, receiving guidance or insights, connecting with spirit guides or ancestors, and accessing subconscious or hidden knowledge. It can also be used as a tool for personal and spiritual growth, meditation, and self-reflection.
4. Ethical Considerations: Like any form of divination, it's important for practitioners to approach scrying with respect, integrity, and ethical awareness. Practitioners should be mindful of the potential impact of their readings on themselves and others and strive to use their abilities responsibly and ethically.
5. Experimentation and Exploration: Scrying is a deeply personal practice, and there is no one "right" way to do it. Practitioners are encouraged to experiment with different scrying tools, techniques, and environments to find what works best for them. Trusting one's intuition and inner guidance is key to successful scrying.
Overall, scrying is a versatile and powerful practice that allows practitioners to tap into their intuition, connect with the spiritual realm, and gain valuable insights and guidance. It’s a deeply personal and intuitive practice that can be adapted and customized to suit individual preferences and needs.
Regular practice, combined with an open mind and heart, can lead to deeper insights, clearer visions, and a stronger intuitive connection with the spiritual realm. Additionally, seeking guidance from experienced practitioners, studying relevant literature, and participating in supportive communities can offer valuable support and encouragement on the scrying journey.
This is not a tool I regularly use, simply because of my headaches. Either it’s the mundane tapping into your head saying, “Hey, knock it off, you don’t need to do this.” or it’s the magical side saying “Hey, you have better places to put your time and energy. this is not one of them.” So if you are interested in this practice by all means utilize it to the best of your ability, but if you can’t seem to focus or get really bad headaches all the time, this may not be the BEST practice for you. It is an option, though! just be careful, witchlings!
Remember to approach scrying with a sense of curiosity, wonder, and reverence for the mysteries of the universe. Trust in your own intuition and the guidance you receive, and allow the magic of scrying to unfold in its own time. With dedication and perseverance, the practice of scrying can become a profound and transformative tool for spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Types of water and how to use them
The many ways to use various waters in your craft
When looking at a spell, you may see it calls for moon water, seawater, rain water, or the like. But what’s the difference? A lot of energy is held in water, and depending on where or how it was collected, it can hold different types of energy. Below, we will discuss different types of water and when or where to use them.  ____________________
Seawater:
Seawater can be used in cleansing or healing spells. Think of the way the tides hit the shores, and wash away anything there. Imagine that when using it in spells, washing away the negative energy.
Storm water:
Imagine the power and strength storms hold. Stormwater can hold all that same strength. You can use storm water for anything you may need to charge or motivate. I can also be used for baneful magic and curses.
River water:
Rivers are ever flowing, ever moving. That’s the energy this water brings to spells, use this when trying to move on from something, or trying to break through tough times. It can be used in warding off negative energy, keeping positive energy flowing through your world, or bringing power to tools or spells
Rain water:
This is similar to storm water, but there are some differences. Storms are wild, strong, unpredictable. Rain, can be gentler, softer. Rainwater can be pretty multipurpose, but is excellent for growth and rebirth spells. Imagine the way the rain helps a seed grow and thrive, except you are the seed!
Snow water:
Fresh fallen snow. Pure white, untouched. It can be used to purify objects or spaces. But winter is also a dormant time, so snow in a spell can be used to end a journey or spell you believe is complete. It can also be used to “slow” spells, so to speak, if you want it to take it’s time to work.
Dew water:
This is a perfect thing to add to any spell or ritual that is trying to commune with the fairfolk, the fresher, the better. It can also be used for any delicate, gentle spells you may have. It can also be used in love and fertility spells.
Moon water:
Now this one is a little different. Moon water is water that is charged under a specific phase of the moon to invoke the energy of that phase. Most people charge their moon water under the full moon, but it is up to you.  ___________
Now, just like with everything else, there is no reason to need any of these specific waters. Maybe people like to use specific water to invoke certain energies, but that doesn’t mean it’s required by any reason! The most common used of these is full moon water, you will see this used in a lot of spells, and it’s often the easiest water to get your hands on. Stay tuned for resources on how to make, store, and use moon water in the future!

hey mindy mindy its me again (after that chaotic love poem lmaolmao) mwah mwah can u do like a notion guide post ?? like what would be helpful to add and also how you set yours up?? that would be so so helpful ilyily have the best day and sleep tight mwah mwah kiss kiss love xoxo, emily
hey emily! ✧
omg hi again!! (the love poem chaos was iconic btw, never apologize for that) you truly are my biggest fan (and i'm yours <3)
✧・゜: my notion setup: organized chaos but make it cute :・゜✧:・゜✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so you asked about my notion setup and i'm soo excited to share because i've gone through approximately 500 iterations before finding what actually works for me! and by "works" i mean i've stuck with it for more than 3 weeks which is honestly a personal record.
the thing with notion is that it's so customizable it can be overwhelming?? like, i spent more time watching "perfect aesthetic notion tour" videos than actually using the app for the first month. classic me behavior.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ getting started (without spiraling) ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
first things first - don't try to set up your entire life system at once! i made this mistake and abandoned notion for 2 months because it felt too overwhelming.
start with ONE area that's currently chaotic in your life. for me it was school assignments because i kept forgetting deadlines until 11pm the night before (and then panicking while eating peanut butter straight from the jar… not recommended).
my biggest tip is to not get caught up in making it pretty right away. i know that's like, counterintuitive coming from me, but functionality first, then we make it cute!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my actual setup ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
homepage: i have a super simple homepage with links to my main dashboards (school, blog, personal) and a little daily quote that changes. also a tiny photo of my cat judging me for motivation.
school dashboard: this is my most used section! i have a calendar view of assignments, a database of all my classes with linked notes, and reading tracker. the best part is the assignment database where i can filter by due date and subject.
blog dashboard: where i keep all my post ideas (like this one!), content calendar, and stats tracking. i also have a section for brands i want to work with someday (manifesting!).
personal dashboard: this has my habit tracker, journal prompts, and goals. i also keep recipes here because i was tired of screenshots getting lost in my camera roll.
reading nook: where i track books i've read/want to read with little ratings and notes. sometimes i write embarrassingly emotional reactions to plot twists that no one else will ever see.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ the actually helpful stuff ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
okay so beyond the basic setup, here are things that have made notion actually useful for me:
templates!! i have templates for everything - blog posts, class notes, weekly planning. it saves so much time not starting from scratch.
linked databases are literally magic. i can have the same information show up in different places filtered different ways. like my assignments appear on my homepage as "due this week" but in my school dashboard i can see everything.
embeds are underrated. i embed my spotify playlists, google calendar, and pinterest boards so everything's in one place.
toggle lists for anything lengthy. they keep things looking clean but you can expand when needed.
color coding that actually means something. i used to just pick pretty colors but now each color has a purpose (red = urgent, blue = school, pink = blog, etc).
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ making it pretty (because we still care) ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
once the functionality is working, THEN we make it cute:
i use a consistent color palette across all pages (mostly soft pinks, lavender, and sage green)
custom icons for each page (there are free packs online or you can use emojis)
cover images that are cohesive (i use pinterest)
font consistency! i stick with the same headings and text styles
little decorative dividers between sections (just search "aesthetic dividers" and you'll find tons)
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my honest thoughts ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
the truth is my notion isn't instagram-perfect all the time. some sections get messy when life gets busy, and that's fine! the beauty of it is you can always clean it up later.
the pages i actually use daily are pretty simple. it's the ones i rarely visit that look the most aesthetic (because they're not battle-tested with real life, lol).
start simple, find what actually helps you, and then make it pretty enough that you want to use it. that's the real secret!
let me know if you want more specific details about any part of my setup! i could literally talk about this forever (as you can probably tell from this novel of a response).
sending you the most organized vibes! hope this helps!!
xoxo, mindy 🤍
p.s. sleep tight to you too! currently writing this at 1am because i have no concept of proper sleep schedules

Negativity into Beauty Spell
(To make yourself glow more when others send you negative thoughts)
You will need:
• A small mirror
• Pink or white candle (or both)
• A dab of rose oil, vanilla, or any scent you associate with love and confidence
• A piece of jewelry or item you wear often (like a ring, necklace, hair clip)
Spell Steps:
1. Prepare your space:
Light the candle. Dab a little rose oil on your pulse points and on the item you’ll enchant.
2. Gaze into the mirror:
Look into your own eyes. Smile gently, as if you’re seeing your highest, most beautiful self.
3. Speak the charm:
Say clearly (or whisper if you prefer):
“By fire and flame, by heart and name,
All bitter thoughts sent my way,
Turn to beauty, charm, and sway.
Glow I shall, with every glance,
In love, in light, in radiance.”
Say it three times, each time believing more strongly that negativity can’t stick to you — it only polishes you brighter.
4. Seal the spell:
Hold the piece of jewelry over the flame for a moment (not too close — just to warm it slightly) while imagining it absorbing the charm. Wear or keep the item with you afterward.
5. Optional:
Close the spell by blowing out the candle and thanking the energies for supporting your glamour.
Shortcut/No-Tools Version
(if you want something quicker):
Just when you feel like someone is sending negativity, smile slightly to yourself and mentally repeat:
“All shade becomes my shine.”
Every time you say it, it strengthens the spell.
