one of the most liberating things about getting older is realising nothing really matters, and i don't mean that in a 'everything is pointless and futile' way, i mean that in a 'it's really not that deep, you'll be fine' kind of way. things feeling overwhelming and impossible is purely because you haven't developed the tools to deal with them yet, and in a couple of years you'll have those tools and look back and go 'oh what the hell, that was nowhere near as complicated as i thought it was'. and far from that feeling frustrating, it's liberating. it's a joy to know you're always learning and getting better and getting stronger and the path to where you are now has been paved with many mistakes but you survived them because honestly? none of those mistakes really mattered in the long run anyway, you got through them, and so you'll get through whatever comes your way next too

In case it hasn't been made clear, Behind The Codes is not a horror series. Despite having some disturbing themes, it doesn't focus on them the same way FNAF games did.

Good students, on the other hand, constantly raise the bar for themselves
as they focus on what they haven’t learned and mastered yet. This is why high achievers who have had a taste of the vast amount of knowledge out there are likely to suffer from what psychologists call imposter syndrome, the feeling that you are not really up to the job, even though, of all people, they are (Clance and Imes 1978; Brems et al. 1994).

if i start to read a post but notice that it has like 10k + notes, im always at least slightly more skeptical about how funny/true/logically sound it is
#i have like…anti-herd mentality bias#sometimes it’s not even that deep. like the joke mightve been sort of funny to me but when i see a hundred thousand people alr laughing#i don’t know 😭 it kind of makes me uncomfortable#youd think i was actually in the room with them the way it makes me feel#i kind of loathe a lot of memes and internet trends for similar reasons#i feel like my generation is so susceptible to manipulation via algorithms#like if you make people laugh youve won them over#i feel like people are maybe more aware of other kinds of ethos#a lot of disillusioned young ppl arent going to be manipulated thru empathy or alarmism#but if you can point a finger and laugh at/belittle a certain idea/demographic#you can harbor bias against said idea#by inflating people's sense of intelligence or self righteousness#plus many earn the extra benefit of feeling carefree & cool-headed rather than emotionally invested#if you criticize the joke they call you stuck-up#tl;dr#memes & trends are an interesting tool for propaganda#not that i’m an expert on media literacy by any means#but the most important thing i’ve learned studying journalism in school is to always remember how susceptible each of us are personally#to falling victim to bias & peer pressure#what an interesting day & age where we can curate our own little internet circles and never step outside into the real world#where blocking out any& all opposing opinions or ideas is seen as socially progressive and healthy#hey but i’m sure your peers are right about what the opposition thinks!#no need to read their literature & study their pov or engage and discuss#yikes i really rambled

See but your answer is exactly what they’re talking about. We have to examine WHY things are bad to be able to classify them as such rather than relying on the gut feeling of “it’s gross/evil/etc.” tbh cannibalism is a prime example of that. Let’s ask, why is cannibalism bad? Your answer will probably be along the lines of “it’s consuming another human.” Ok but why? “We shouldn’t eat people.” Ok but why? “Bc you’re killing and eating them.” Ok what if they hadn’t been killed and died naturally? “You’re still disrespecting a body.” What if they’re not tho? What if some people historically practiced cannibalism out of respect? What if they ate pieces of the dead after they’d died to commemorate them, and all the knowledge and wisdom that individual carried? What if their beliefs are that by eating their loved one after death, they are keeping a piece of their loved one and their essence with them, honoring their memory and their importance in the group? What if the person being cannibalized knew full well that after they’d died they’d be eaten, and they are okay with that because that’s been the tradition for years? All of which are things that have been observed throughout history. Obviously there are instances where cannibalism is performed by killing victims out of desperation, or to intimidate people, but not every case is like that, which is why we HAVE to ask these questions. Because morality is not black and white.
So yes, I do think it is important to ask seemingly simple questions like “why is cannibalism bad” bc even if it makes us sound idiotically ignorant, it helps us understand why we feel the way we do about it which in turn helps us actually unpack the morality of the subject without resorting just to our emotions about it. Bc if we follow only our emotions, that becomes a slippery slope where we condemn anything that makes us feel uncomfortable without actually understanding it, such as gay marriage for a prime example. “It’s gross/evil/etc” has been an argument against gay marriage forever, all we’re saying is that kind of thinking can get dangerous very quickly if you don’t try to examine it. And saying “you shouldn’t have to be told why XYZ is bad” does nothing but discourage discussion on the issue and make people afraid to question it because it’s already been deemed too taboo to even talk about. Condemning things you don’t fully understand because you don’t like the way it makes you feel, and therefore trying to bar other people from discussing it, is one of the many flavors of fascism.

The Echo Chamber
I’ll never forget the night I fired up that hulking machine—steel panels glowing like a spaceship altar, wires snaking everywhere, humming like it was alive. The lab smelled like burnt toast and old books. I slapped my palm on the frosty screen, felt it shudder awake, and muttered, “Show me the beginning.”The room flickered. Suddenly, I was staring at the almost-people. Small, crouched figures…

4me4you features digital creator Dean Bianchi  aka “spipasucci_ai” - “Surreal realities thru AI”.
Dean Bianchi is an eCommerce Director at a small company in Northeast Ohio by day, but by night, he is a passionate digital creator, blending the technical aspects of current digital tools with a unique and often whimsical aesthetic. His creative journey has evolved over the years, influenced by a deep fascination with music, film, and storytelling from an early age.
Growing up, Dean was drawn to alternative media—late-night cable shows, indie films, and local college radio—that presented a world outside the mainstream. His love for these art forms only grew as he studied film in the late 80s and early 90s, forging friendships with other artists, writers, musicians, and filmmakers. During this time, he explored various creative mediums, including 8mm and 16mm film, collage art, poetry, and writing.
Though Dean took a detour in his creative journey for a while, focusing on his ‘regular’ job, he never fully let go of his creative passions. His career in digital tools—Photoshop, Premiere, interactive Flash, and web development—allowed him to keep learning and nurturing his creative side.
In the past two years, Dean’s world was transformed by the emergence of generative AI. Starting with Leonardo AI, he was instantly inspired by the new technical possibilities and the ability to bring his quirky, odd ideas to life. This sparked a creative reawakening, and as he explored platforms like MidJourney and Instagram, he found a supportive and inspiring community of digital creators. Their feedback pushed him to dive deeper into his creative approach, and he’s fully committed to pursuing this new creative outlet.
Recently, Dean has integrated generative AI video into his work, connecting back to his early passion for film and video. This has allowed him to blend his years of video education and experimentation with this exciting new technology. His creative aesthetic is deeply influenced by a fascination with strange, surreal imagery and motion, often mixing dark tones with whimsical or silly contexts. Drawing inspiration from artists like David Lynch, Michel Gondry, and Mr. Bungle, Dean’s work is known for its strong sense of color, randomness, and a sense of being a glimpse into an alternate reality.
Looking ahead, Dean is eager to integrate his creative world into his day-to-day life, whether through a career shift or by building visibility and engagement with the growing digital creator community. He has already begun work on a short film, joined Hailuo’s CPP, launched a YouTube channel for his video work, and is in the process of launching a website and print store. He also enjoys sharing tips and insights with others and is exploring ways to make that knowledge more accessible to a wider audience.
Grateful for the creative outlet that generative AI has provided, Dean is excited to continue sharing his ‘weirdness’ and growing alongside the digital creator community on this thrilling journey.
