Negative Affective Responses to Positive Events and Stimuli in Patients with Complex Dissociative Disorders: a Mixed-Methods Pilot Study
Kaja Kaspersen [1], Gorm Hol [2], and Ellen K. K. Jepsen [3] [4]
Published: October 26, 2021
Point of Study
NAI: negative affective interference. The idea that people who have experienced something traumatic are not only unable to experience pleasure (known in psychology as "hedonic deficit" (HD) or "anhedonia") but will also experience a negative emotional/psychological response to positive events/feelings. This can lead to those people avoiding positive interactions or things that would usually make them feel good because the positive/"pleasure" response is being overridden by the negative response.
Gather evidence on how NAI is related to trauma and the symptoms that develop because of it.
Gather evidence on how NAI may be associated with CDD patients.
Participant Demographics
25 adult CDD patients that were told by another doctor (or generally referred) to stay at a hospital that specializes in dissociation treatment.
All participants reported childhood sexual abuse (CSA).
The study took place in Norway.
Procedure
Psychoform dissociation - includes amnesia that is a result of dissociation and not brain damage, depersonalization, identity disturbance and/or presence of alters. Not to be confused with somatoform dissociation which is more physical (e.g. the inability to feel pain, inability to control your body, etc).
Each participant completed assessments/questionnaires that checked for:
Ability to feel pleasure (Hedonic Deficit & Interference Scale)
Psychoform dissociative symptoms and presentation (Dissociative Experiences Scale-II)
PTSD/C-PTSD (International Trauma Questionnaire, PTSD Checklist for DSM-5)
Negative self thoughts/talk after a traumatic event happened (Post Traumatic Cognitions Inventory)
Social/intimacy dysfunction (Inventory of Interpersonal Problems)
Internal conflict related to positive experiences (Inner Conflict in Response to Positive Events and Stimuli – Qualitative Form)
Presence of a dissociative disorder (Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Dissociative Disorders)
Presence of childhood trauma, like abuse or neglect (Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, Short Form)
Alcohol abuse (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test)
Results
NAI is correlated with more (complex) trauma-related symptoms and social/intimacy problems than Hedonic Deficits.
There were 3 consistent themes that prevented positive emotions: fear, shame, and aggressive "parts".
Even if the event/experience isn't social, analyzing the results showed that positive events made the participants feel bad in some way and that those negative feelings kept them from enjoying the positive experience. These feelings are said to be related to past negative experiences across the board and are consistently triggered in some way by the positive experience.
Limitations/Implications
Small sample size - there weren't enough participants for the researchers to confidently say that the way these experiences were presented in the study is applicable to everyone with a CDD or (C)PTSD regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, neurological state, etc. They specifically say that the study "did not allow for factors that are not explicit features of a CDD (e.g. age, gender, medication)." and "statistical tests were based on limited data, increasing the risk for type 1 errors". A type 1 error - also called a "false positive" - is when a researcher thinks the results prove their claim when the results actually disprove the claim.
No control group - The study only accounted for people with a CDD who needed to go inpatient and didn't have a group that didn't experience dissociation to compare the results to.
Certain data is unclear - The researchers say that they can't tell if the results are because of structural dissociation (explicitly CDD symptoms) or just from (C)PTSD. They also can't tell if NAI affects trauma-related symptoms or if trauma-related symptoms affect NAI.
Unbalanced demographic - participants were mostly women which impacts how much the results can be applied to people with a CDD who don't fall under those classifications.
Visual inspection of certain data - the researchers used a scatterplot to see how related NAI and HD were, which can sometimes result in an inaccurate interpretation. Since the results are compiled and laid out in a clean visual, the interpretation can be superficial or lack nuance/deeper understanding.
The researchers recommended that future studies look more into how alters affect the results. ("To avoid the possibility the treatment has influenced the experience of an internal conflict between different dissociative personality parts, a study on NAI in CDD patients before entering a CDD-focused treatment is recommended.")

Principles and Laws of Magic for Fantasy Writers
Fundamental Laws
1. Law of Conservation of Magic- Magic cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.
3. Law of Equivalent Exchange- To gain something, an equal value must be given.
5. Law of Magical Exhaustion- Using magic drains the user’s energy or life force.
Interaction and Interference
4. Law of Magical Interference- Magic can interfere with other magical effects.
6. Law of Magical Contamination- Magic can have unintended side effects.
8. Law of Magical Inertia- Magical effects continue until stopped by an equal or greater force.
Resonance and Conditions
7. Law of Magical Resonance- Magic resonates with certain materials, places, or times.
9. Law of Magical Secrecy- Magic must be kept secret from the non-magical world.
11. Law of Magical Hierarchy- Different types of magic have different levels of power and difficulty.
Balance and Consequences
10. Law of Magical Balance- Every positive magical effect has a negative consequence.
12. Law of Magical Limitation- Magic has limits and cannot solve every problem.
14. Law of Magical Rebound- Misused magic can backfire on the user.
Special Conditions
13. Law of Magical Conduits- Certain objects or beings can channel magic more effectively.
15. Law of Magical Cycles- Magic may be stronger or weaker depending on cycles (e.g., lunar phases).
17. Law of Magical Awareness- Some beings are more attuned to magic and can sense its presence.
Ethical and Moral Laws
16. Law of Magical Ethics- Magic should be used responsibly and ethically.
18. Law of Magical Consent- Magic should not be used on others without their consent.
20. Law of Magical Oaths- Magical promises or oaths are binding and have severe consequences if broken.
Advanced and Rare Laws
19. Law of Magical Evolution- Magic can evolve and change over time.
20. Law of Magical Singularities- Unique, one-of-a-kind magical phenomena exist and are unpredictable.
Unique and Imaginative Magical Laws
- Law of Temporal Magic- Magic can manipulate time, but with severe consequences. Altering the past can create paradoxes, and using time magic ages the caster rapidly.
- Law of Emotional Resonance- Magic is amplified or diminished by the caster’s emotions. Strong emotions like love or anger can make spells more powerful but harder to control.
- Law of Elemental Harmony- Magic is tied to natural elements (fire, water, earth, air). Using one element excessively can disrupt the balance and cause natural disasters.
- Law of Dream Magic- Magic can be accessed through dreams. Dreamwalkers can enter others’ dreams, but they risk getting trapped in the dream world.
- Law of Ancestral Magic- Magic is inherited through bloodlines. The strength and type of magic depend on the caster’s ancestry, and ancient family feuds can influence magical abilities.
- Law of Symbiotic Magic- Magic requires a symbiotic relationship with magical creatures. The caster and creature share power, but harming one affects the other.
- Law of Forgotten Magic- Ancient spells and rituals are lost to time. Discovering and using forgotten magic can yield great power but also unknown dangers.
- Law of Magical Echoes- Spells leave behind echoes that can be sensed or traced. Powerful spells create stronger echoes that linger longer.
- Law of Arcane Geometry- Magic follows geometric patterns. Spells must be cast within specific shapes or alignments to work correctly.
- Law of Celestial Magic- Magic is influenced by celestial bodies. Spells are stronger during certain astronomical events like eclipses or planetary alignments.
- Law of Sentient Magic- Magic has a will of its own. It can choose to aid or hinder the caster based on its own mysterious motives.
- Law of Shadow Magic- Magic can manipulate shadows and darkness. Shadowcasters can travel through shadows but are vulnerable to light.
- Law of Sympathetic Magic- Magic works through connections. A spell cast on a representation of a person (like a doll or portrait) affects the actual person.
- Law of Magical Artifacts- Certain objects hold immense magical power. These artifacts can only be used by those deemed worthy or who possess specific traits.
- Law of Arcane Paradoxes- Some spells create paradoxes that defy logic. These paradoxes can have unpredictable and often dangerous outcomes.
- Law of Elemental Fusion- Combining different elemental magics creates new, hybrid spells with unique properties and effects.
- Law of Ethereal Magic- Magic can interact with the spirit world. Ethereal mages can communicate with spirits, but prolonged contact can blur the line between life and death.
- Law of Arcane Symbiosis- Magic can bond with technology, creating magical machines or enchanted devices with extraordinary capabilities.
- Law of Dimensional Magic- Magic can open portals to other dimensions. Dimensional travelers can explore alternate realities but risk getting lost or encountering hostile beings.
- Law of Arcane Sacrifice- Powerful spells require a sacrifice, such as a cherished memory, a personal item, or even a part of the caster’s soul.

Hey, so imagine Jason with a reader whose parents are simply the most loving beings in the universe, like R's father taught him basic things that neither Bruce nor his biological father could (like how to fix a broken sink, how to assemble a cabinet and even love advice) and R's mother was practically like a mother to him (visiting them regularly even when her daughter is not home, bringing soup when they know he is sick and helping him choose Valentine's Day gifts for the reader).
This may be the cutest prompt I've ever received. I love soft Jason soooo much!! (I fear I am not out of my obsession stage yet.)
---___---___---___---___---___---___---___---___---_
Jason Todd obviously grew up with few to no parental guidance and when he got it, it was more often than not negative like manipulation and abuse or neglect.
So, when he meets his girlfriend's parents he's understandably extremely nervous. From what you've told him, they're sweet. But he knows perception can change quickly and let's be real, he's not the good, kind-hearted person anyone would want for their daughter, in his opinion.
That said, when he does meet them for the first time and your mom envelopes him in the biggest hug he's received aside from you (a chronic cuddler, which he's come to appreciate.) he's a little stunned for the moment. It takes him a minute to even remember how to speak to introduce himself.
This man, all 6'2 and 240 pounds of him, actually seems shy for a moment, trying to make a good impression. You find it adorable when his cheeks blush after your mom compliments him on all the nice things you've told them about him. He didn't even know you bragged about him to people, let alone the extent of it. Like yeah, sure, you showered him in affection all the time, but that was at his apartment or yours.
The fact that you had actually mentioned him often enough that they knew about some of his quirks— his disdain for fish because Bruce made him eat it all the time as a kid at fancy events until he couldn't stand it anymore and his desire to meet for dinner not lunch since he had an obscure sleep schedule because of his "job" was astounding to him.
Even though they couldn't know what it was, you still boasted about how he was very passionate about it and you were proud of him for how hard he worked. That, admittedly, made him blush a little harder.
"She says you've got late hours, I hope dinner won't interfere," your mom would tell him considerately.
He shook his head. "No ma'am. I don't work until later."
She beamed. "Well good, then, because we've been dying to meet you."
Even the things about him that he assumed most parents wouldn't be thrilled to hear about, yours didn't seem to mind.
"You grew up in crime Alley, right?" Your father was questioned, in between the salad and entree.
Jason swallowed. There it was, he assumed. The disapproval he was anticipating. "Yes, I did," he replied, nodding.
"It's a difficult area to grow up in," your father noted. "A very close friend of mine was born over there. He's as tough as they come. Very resilient and reliable."
Jason was taken by surprise. "Uh- yeah, yes. I suppose you learn to be loyal when you don't have many people to trust." He internally cursed himself for saying that. It was too dark and pessimistic.
"An admirable quality," your mother said sincerely as you squeezed his hand under the table. "It must have also exposed you to a lot of different types of people and given you a very broad outlook on life."
He just nodded, swallowing some of his water.
Your father had similarly commented that he seemed to have a great work ethic, which Jason clearly appreciated and considered important. Your dad also, at the end of dinner, when you were out of ear range, made a quiet remark to Jason about how he seemed to make you very happy and that's all he ever wanted for his daughter. Jason had been expecting shovel talk or threats. At the very least, judgemental stares, the way he was used to, but instead your parents were absolutely lovely.
And it very clearly wasn't some temporary ruse, either, like he thought it might have been. They really were good people, just like you. When you moved in with him, your parents helped the two of you pack your old apartment and unpack in his. Your mom even insisted on cooking dinner since the two of you were exhausted from all the moving. He would never say no to her cooking, since aside from Alfred's, it was the best he'd ever had.
It was only a few weeks later, in the middle of summer, when your air conditioner broke down. It was Gotham, so obviously it was hot as hell. And of course no one was reliable when it came to actually coming to fix it. Your father, however, was used to fixing things and came over when you casually mentioned it to him after it was broken for a week or two.
He was about halfway through with it when Jason came home and he immediately felt bad just letting him, so your dad pointed towards some tool and asked him for some help.
"I don't really know how to fix an AC. Vehicles are more my thing," he confessed, lifting a wrench to his hand.
Your dad shrugged. "Not that hard. I'll show you."
Jason glanced at where you were sitting at the table with a glass of lemonade, giving him a light shrug. "Okay, sure," he muttered, rolling up his sleeves.
Jason liked to think the two of you had a pretty solid relationship, as far as honesty and commitment went. He loved you, he was almost positive by the time you'd been dating 15 months that he wanted to marry you.
But you still, occasionally, fought the way all couples did. And when you did, it was usually because he struggled to keep plans or left you waiting up for him, only to come home desperately needing stitches.
The worst it ever got was when he deliberately lied to you, swearing he'd stay out of something dangerous and going straight into danger the second he could. Even though nothing that bad actually happened, you were more than a little angry. In fact, during the screaming match you had, he could swear he saw the exact moment your heart broke when you told him you thought he cared more about being Red Hood than he did about you.
You left for hours. Four of them.
And when he heard a knock at the door, he was hopeful it was you, having forgot your keys. Instead, it was your mom. His heart dropped, wondering what she was doing there—planning to yell at him for how he treated you, grabbing some things for you so you could stay away for several days, breaking up with him on your behalf.
All she did was invite herself in, making some coffee (just the way she knew he liked it) and sitting on the couch with him. He was confused and silent, until she spoke up.
"She's not saying what the fight was about," she told him. "I assume it's your work. The uh-... nightly aspect of it?"
He blinked a little. Something about her tone was more suggestive than he liked. "It- partially, yeah," he admitted. "I didn't mean to break my promise."
She nodded. "I know," she muttered. "And I don't think she's mad, just...scared. She doesn't want to lose you."
"She won't," Jason replied instantly.
Your mom's lips quirked into a small smile. "Then tell her that," she suggested, adding that: "Trust is fragile. It takes a long time to build it and a single action can shatter it." She patted his knee, standing up and he stood too, walking her to the door.
"Why do I have a feeling you know what the fight was about, even without her telling you?" He asked quietly if not with some suspicion.
"You're a very good man, Jason," she told him. "But it doesn't take a genius to know why those hours you work are so obscure." Before he could question or deny what he felt she already knew, she was giving him a small kiss on the cheek, the way she often did to greet and say goodbye. "Call her," she said. "I'll make sure she picks up."
So he did. And you did answer, like she promised.
You made up, like always and it wasn't even six months later that he was calling your parents, asking for blessing to propose to you. Of course they said yes and we're thrilled to do so. Your mom even helped him pick out the ring. Which took hours, half because he couldn't decide and half because she kept starting to cry.
When he finally did find the right one, she naturally helped him plan the proposal, too. He wasn't always the greatest at romantic gestures. At least not grand ones. He was always better at the subtle shows of affection—remembering dates and details or taking care of you when you're sick. He doesn't want to do anything overwhelming, but filling the apartment with twinkling lights and telling you—with several tears in his eyes—how much he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, is plenty for you.
"Yes?" He repeats, almost in disbelief that you'd agreed so quickly to marry him.
"Yes, yes, obviously," you repeated, sniffling to keep from crying as you gave him your hand, letting him slip the ring on your finger.
His arms immediately enveloped you, lifting you off the ground and spinning you around like you weighed nothing. Setting you down, his lips found yours for a deep, long kiss, before pressing his forehead against yours and nuzzling your nose.
"I love you so much," he repeated, even though he'd said it three times already.
He already saw plenty of your parents, at least four or five times a month, but it seems like he sees them nearly everyday when the wedding planning starts. Your mom is more concerned with invitations and linens or vows while your dad really just shows up for cake tasting, or trying the catering companies. Not to mention to judge and criticize the venue options.
Still, they're there more than his own father figure is, sort of like they have been since he met them. They're there on your wedding day, crying in the front row when he uses his love of literature to craft was perhaps the most beautiful wedding vows ever recorded. They're there to take care of your apartment when you're on your honeymoon, coming to water the plants and collect the mail, not to mention stock the fridge before you get back.
They're there for your birthday and his, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas. They're there to help prepare for the baby when you eventually have kids, your mom by soothing Jason's nerves and your dad by helping him paint the nursery or assemble furniture. They're there after the baby is born and visit whenever you need a babysitter for a few hours or even days to spend time together.
They're there, he realizes. They're there and he loves that, not just for you or for the baby, but for himself too. For the little kid inside him that never fully felt like any adults around him truly had his best interests at heart.

About My AU
This is about how 8 souls in Minecraft afterlife, try to live in peace and harmony.
Random facts about world/lore:
• You can’t stay at night for long as your own nightmares and fears will begin to haunt you.
• Catnap has had corruption three times. And each time it gets worse and more painful.
• on a full moon in Cartoon world, Catnap will turn into that same creepy version of himself from his past life.
• Bobby: mother/big sister figure
Bubba: Big bro/Father figure
Kickin: best Bro/best friend
Hoppy: best sister/best friend
Crafty: comfort shy bestie
Picky: the same kind aunt who will feed and take care of you/sibling figure
• Catnap lives with Bobby or Bubba.
The guys built houses for each other while they were in the afterlife. And they built a House for Dogday in advance.
• It hurts Catnap to show other emotions with his mouth, so he always smiles. But in the animation "Overnight" he was so upset that he didn't care about the pain and to show his sadness to Dogday he erased his smile
About Medallions
medallions are their souls.
Catnap collects the negative emotions of other critters. This makes his medallion increase. Although he helps others, it’s worse for him if he collects a lot of negativity within himself. He's in pain and reaaally Sick.💀
Each critter has their own cracks in their medallions. They show their emotional state.
Why is Catnap's medallion different?
it’s just that Catnap is punished for what he did in a past life. He pays back by helping and providing therapy to others there will be a rollback from negativity only if someone helps him. But no one will help him yet. The worse the Catnap medallion stage, the more his voice disappears, his beautiful lullaby voice becomes either mute or creepy.
The reason why Catnap is still cursed with this "therapy" ability. He feels guilty for all his mistakes. And it haunts him. His guilt hits harder than other negative emotions of smiling critters.
Sometimes a big red cloud hangs over him in the shape of his past life. And until he forgives himself and does not help others. He will be forever cursed and suffer
Cracked or Cursed Medallions symptoms
When Catnap is too overwhelmed with negativity. He coughs up Red Smoke.
But it doesn’t affect the others in any way. Although other critters are scared by this smoke. Especially Dogday.
Broken medallions.
These are souls that have not found peace, traumatized, broken. They feel bad mentally.

Their voices ,Their speaking style
Dogday: The deep voice of a veteran who went through a 100-year war. But sometimes it changes to squeaky if it experiences strong emotions. He remained expressive, but his face is always angry as if it would bite you.
Catnap: Actually he was mute. But he was given a voice in the afterlife. He still can't get used to it. His voice is very gentle, cold and pleasant to the ear, like the Cradle. His voice is also designed for singing.
Bobby: Calming tone, tactile when communicating. Sometimes she makes beautiful speeches. And very chatty. Loves to gossip.
Bubba: Monotonous and calculating Voice. He speaks briefly and clearly. And doesn't gesture at all and he is very passive.
Kickin: He deliberately makes his voice tone rougher to seem cool. He comes up with different slangs and often makes funny gestures. But when he's scared, his voice becomes very squeaky and he chirps like a Chicken.
Hoppy: She has a loud and confident voice, like a fitness club trainer. She will never tire of shouting motivational words at you. She often jumps and runs around you. She doesn't sit still while she chats with you.
Crafty: A gentle and sweet voice, like a princess. She is often distracted and has Daydreaming Syndrome.
Loves fairy tales and everything that is not from reality. She can debate her point of view about creativity

We can talk about the importance of the lesbians in Marvin's life: they were the first women with whom he was able to establish a truly healthy relationship. From In Trousers, we see that his connection with women was always complicated, starting with his mother, who remained emotionally distant and paid little attention to him. This lack of maternal affection caused Marvin, upon being noticed for the first time by an older woman (Miss Goldberg), to confuse his desire for maternal love with romantic attraction, which triggered a series of emotional conflicts.
Later on, his relationship with Sweetheart also proved to be a negative experience. Marvin felt no real desire to be around her, as Sweetheart loved him in a way he couldn’t return, which led him to despise her.
When he met Trina, Marvin genuinely felt affection for her and was interested in her personality. That’s why, at first, he didn’t want to interfere in her relationship and gave her a false address. However, later he thought maybe he could fall in love with her and make it work. Everything changed when Trina needed Marvin to want her, as is expected in a romantic relationship, and he simply couldn’t offer that. That’s when their real problems began.
The transformation happens when he meets Charlotte and Cordelia. Unlike the previous women in his life, they expect nothing more than friendship, and offer him love without requiring a romantic relationship. Through them, Marvin learns a vital lesson: that men and women are equal, that onea isn’t meant to be the provider while the other serves, and that affection can exist without romantic or traditional expectations.

this song reminds me of them

Asteroid Industria
✨️ Industria (389) Persona Chart Edition ✨️
Having a 5th house stellium can indicate that you will work in the creative field or with children in general, it can also indicate that your own children will interfere in your career like bringing your children with you to your job (and this can cause problems to you depending on the planets we're talking about).
career examples: being a teacher, a pediatrician, a performer, an artist
Sun conjunct mercury indicates your job has a lot to do with communicating yourself/speaking in general, your job is a lot about languages or just communicating in general.
career examples: being a teacher (again), a singer, a mailman, etc. it reminds me of hermes in greek mythology
Having a 2nd house stellium is a huge indicator of having a job that brings you financial comfort and gains in general, you're probably the "official" supporter of the house financially.
Virgo stellium in this chart shows someone bery hardworker, to the point where it's even obsessive depending on the planets and aspects, people can even take advantage of you because you have no problem with doing the "dirty work".
7th house moon is an indicator you have a soft heart in your job space and a lot of peoole with bad intentions take advantage of your kindness, you need to set your boundaries, seriously.
3rd house venus = gossips about your love life in your job space?? 👀 just a guess
Neptune square moon can indicate that you're very uncertain or lost when it comes to choosing what your heart wants for a profession, you feel like there isn't a dream job for you and you'll just get on with life lol. I think this also applies specially if you have pisces personal placements or a stellium in this chart.
On the other side, and kind of surprisingly, moon conjunct neptune can indicate that you've always dreamt about a certain job and it fits you like a glove.
Mars in the 8th house can mean you like to work alone, secretly, you don't like to be ordered around much and you hate when people invade your privacy in your work space.
Having a libra venus in this chart can indicate your beauty and charm have a huge impact on your job.
celebrity example: Taehyung from BTS
Having a libra midheaven can mean your aesthetic has a huge impact on others, you can influenciate a lot of people from your profession.
celebrity example: Lana Del Rey
I think Taurus stellium is a huge indicator of talent and a gorgeous aura in general that makes people pulled in by you in your job space. You'll probably work in the comestics/fashion area (sometimes people forget that venus also rules taurus but let's give them some credits too here lmao)
Mercury in the 5th house: you communicate yourself so pretty, so beautifully in your job, your words and/or voice let people in awe, this has a siren effect but not necessarily a singing voice. Your words can be hypnotizing and your diction too
7th house venus or stellium can indicate your romantic life impacts on your job immensely, even negatively if you're not careful. Also, it can mean you'll find your significant others in your profession field.
Pluto sextile sun means you impose yourself beautifully in your profession, you have an impact on others in a gracious but unforgettable way.
1st house moon can mean you pour your heart out when you're really trying hard to leave an impression through your job. This can also means you care a lot about how others perceive your appearance and this affects you really personally
5th house venus is so pretty, I wish I had it in my chart lol, this person really knows how to use her creativity to make her job properly, she has a natural talent for what she does.
Having a combo of positive aspects between the moon/venus/asc in this chart can indicate your femininity is very in tune in your profession field, you can come off as really beautiful and "in form"/put together when you're working, you just know how to have the ideal vibes, you know? This is very beautiful.
1° Sun means you can show your ego pretty easily when you're in your job space, unless neptune is aspecting it or it's in pisces, then you can hide it pretty well, but you still can be very certain about your abilities and even your appearance, this can indicate a natural leader.
A Leo or Aquarius MC is the true trendsetter of their professional field, they have the best ideas and they're always ahead of others, they can be really inovative. Leo can do it in a more traditional way that still works and leave an impact, in a big and colorful way, aquarius make it in a standing way that leaves people shocked with their ideas, they do that crazy thought that others are scared. The Leo MC knows that they're the royalty and the Aquarius MC knows that they're the mastermind. This duo can work greatly together, their ideas mix pretty well.
1st house Mars in aries are such fast workers!! they do their job pretty fast
I've talked about virgo stellium, but Capricorn stellium are the TRUE workaholics and they do the hard job without an ounce of laziness, they're down for anything as long as it makes them satisfied with fulfilling a useful meaning to them and with ✨️money✨️ of course lol
Speaking of capricorn, having a Capricorn MC means you have fame of doing your job impeccably, you're not joking in your area lol.
If aries/1st house placements are fast workers, taurus/2nd house placements are the opposite. They appreciate the details very much and they hate doing a job for the "half", they can be slow workers but their talent makes it worth it.
8th house pluto and/or mars can indicate you're pretty envied in your job space 🤫 be careful with gossips, lies and secrets...
Scorpio moons do not put their souls in their jobs, their jobs ARE their souls, they pour everything in their profession. They turn their traumas in art

Loving the Void
Void x Reader x Bob Reynolds Relationship Headcanons
How Void would act when you’re in a relationship with Bob. And how you would slowly fall for Void as well as continually loving Bob.
A/N: I have humanized Void and he is his own “being” in these headcanons.

Void is initially very jealous of your connection to Bob. He sees you as a threat that needs to be controlled and addressed accordingly. Void actively tries to undermine the relationship, as well as, planting seeds of doubt and fear in both Bob and your mind’s. Void tries to push Bob into turning you away by convincing him that he’s protecting from Void’s influence. This manipulation creates a rift between Bob and you, as you struggle to understand why he's suddenly distancing himself.
You decide to take it upon yourself to help Bob by also helping heal Void at the same time. No matter what Void does, you combat the attacks that they throw at you. This leads to Void slowing down his “attacks,” and ultimately trusting you. Bob is happier, calmer, and more confident due to this.
Void is an observant protector who is always safely watching from a distance. It doesn’t interfere directly unless there is an active threat against you. You do notice strange occurrences that start to work in your favor like – a sudden gust of wind that prevents you from getting in an accident or a misplaced object that directs you from danger. You know that it’s Void helping you out during these situations.
Void leaves you subtle gifts to help you know that it’s there. They’re not physical gifts (at least not yet) but these gifts are found within your environment. These are things such as finding rare items or moments of extreme luck at the right time. These gifts are a way for Void to express affection without breaking its non-interference rule.
Void is deeply connected to Bob's emotions, and by extension, yours. It amplifies the positive feelings in your relationship, making moments of joy and intimacy feel even more profound. However, it also absorbs negative emotions, acting as a silent support system during difficult times. Throughout the good and the bad, you have two presences in your life, to help you cope.
Slowly falling for Void:
- At first you’re only aware of Void as an abstract concept that doesn’t interfere with your daily life. But as you spend more time with Bob, you start noticing patterns and subtle interventions that can't be explained logically. You now know that this was Void.
- Your curiosity grows as you witness Void's influence firsthand. You begin to ask Bob questions, research its nature, and try to understand its role in your lives. The more you learn, the more intrigued you become. And the harder you fall for both of them. Void isn’t there to harm you but to stand as a silent protector alongside Bob.
- Soon, you realize that Void isn't just a passive entity; it's an active participant in your relationship, offering support and protection in its own unique way. You develop a deep appreciation for its presence and the subtle ways it enhances your life with Bob.
- You come to accept Void as an integral part of your relationship with Bob, and your feelings evolve into a form of love – not romantic love, but a profound connection based on respect, gratitude, and shared experiences. You understand that Void is not a separate entity but an extension of Bob, and loving it means loving Bob even more deeply.

Heey, hope this finds you well! Can you make writing notes about psychoses? I'm really interested about writing about my OC's mental state, thanks!
Writing Notes: Psychosis
Defining "Psychosis"
Psychosis - a collection of symptoms that affect the mind, where there has been some loss of contact with reality. During an episode of psychosis, a person’s thoughts and perceptions are disrupted and they may have difficulty recognizing what is real and what is not.
The 3 Main Symptoms of psychosis are:
hallucinations – where a person hears, sees and, in some cases, feels, smells or tastes things that do not exist outside their mind but can feel very real to the person affected by them; a common hallucination is hearing voices
delusions – where a person has strong beliefs that are not shared by others; a common delusion is someone believing there's a conspiracy to harm them
disordered thinking and speaking - a person's thoughts and ideas come very quickly, which can make their speech fast and confusing
The combination of hallucinations and delusional thinking can cause severe distress and a change in behaviour.
Experiencing the symptoms of psychosis is often referred to as having a psychotic episode.
Psychosis occurs when a person loses contact with reality. The person may:
Have false beliefs about what is taking place, or who one is (delusions)
See or hear things that are not there (hallucinations)
It is an abnormal mental state involving significant problems with reality testing.
Characterized by serious impairments or disruptions in the most fundamental higher brain functions:
perception,
cognition and cognitive processing, and
emotions or affect
as manifested in behavioral phenomena, such as:
delusions,
hallucinations, and
significantly disorganized speech
Psychosis is most likely to occur in young adults and is quite common.
Around 3 out of every 100 young people will experience a psychotic episode.
Most make a full recovery from the experience.
Psychosis can happen to anyone.
An episode of psychosis is treatable, and it is possible to recover.
It is widely accepted that the earlier people get help the better the outcome.
25% of people who develop psychosis will never have another episode, another 50% may have more than one episode but will be able to live normal lives.
Some people who develop psychosis may need ongoing support and treatment throughout their lives.
Historically: psychosis referred to any severe mental disorder that significantly interferes with functioning and ability to perform activities essential to daily living.
First Episode Psychosis
Refers to the first time someone experiences psychotic symptoms or a psychotic episode.
People experiencing a first episode may not understand what is happening.
The symptoms can be highly disturbing and unfamiliar, leaving the person confused and distressed.
Unfortunately, negative myths and stereotypes about mental illness and psychosis in particular are still common in the community.
A psychotic episode occurs in 3 phases. The length of each phase varies from person to person:
Phase 1: Prodome (psychosis syndrome)
The early signs may be vague and hardly noticeable. There may be changes in the way some people describe their feelings, thoughts and perceptions, which may become more difficult over time. Each person’s experience will differ and not everyone will experience all of the following "common signs":
Reduced concentration
Decreased motivation
Depressed mood
Sleep disturbance
Anxiety
Social withdrawal
Suspiciousness
Deterioration in functioning
Withdrawal from family and friends
Odd beliefs/magical thinking
[Magical thinking - the belief that events or the behavior of others can be influenced by one’s thoughts, wishes, or rituals. Magical thinking is typical of children up to 4 or 5 years of age, after which reality thinking begins to predominate.]
Phase 2: Acute
The acute phase is when the symptoms of psychosis begin to emerge.
It is also known as the "critical period."
Clear psychotic symptoms are experienced, such as hallucinations, delusions or confused thinking.
During this phase, the person experiencing psychosis can become extremely distressed by what is happening to them or behave in a manner that is so out of character that family members can become extremely concerned and may start to seek help. Before this stage the individual may have been experiencing a more gradual decline.
Phase 3: Recovery
With effective treatment most people will recover from their first episode of psychosis and may never have another episode.
It is important to remember that psychosis is a treatable condition and if help is sought early, an individual may never suffer another episode.
Initially, some of the symptoms that are apparent in the acute phase may linger in the recovery phase but with appropriate treatment most people successfully recover and return to their normal, everyday lives.
Some Symptoms of Psychosis
A person with psychosis may have any of the following:
Disorganized thought and speech
False beliefs that are not based on reality (delusions), especially unfounded fear or suspicion
Hearing, seeing, or feeling things that are not there (hallucinations)
Thoughts that "jump" between unrelated topics (disordered thinking)
What does psychosis look like? Responding to things, losing track of thoughts, appearing frightened or being very sure of things which don’t seem to be true, some people are more withdrawn, or their personality seems different. Big changes in behaviour and ability to do their usual activities.
Each person who experiences psychosis will have a unique experience and combination of symptoms, which may include:
Hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling or tasting things that other people don’t (sometimes called hallucinations)
Feeling unsafe and that people are working against you, or trying to harm you
Believing that you have special powers or abilities
Noticing patterns or feeling that things have a special significance for you (such as believing a famous song has been written about you or an event in the news has been caused by you)
Finding it hard to follow conversations, getting muddled in your thoughts or when speaking
Feeling that your thoughts have been removed or tampered with, or that someone else is in control of your body
Some people also become quite withdrawn and experience loss of motivation and emotions
When experiencing psychosis, people often struggle with their relationships, daily activities, school or work.
Some people, when told they have psychosis, worry that they might have a long-term mental illness like schizophrenia.
It’s important to know that psychosis can happen for all sorts of different reasons and having an episode doesn’t necessarily mean that you will have another or that you will have a long-term problem.
Psychotic symptoms typically include changes in thinking, mood and behavior. Symptoms vary from person to person and may change over time. Some of the more characteristic symptoms can be grouped into 5 categories:
Confused Thinking: Thoughts become muddled or confused. The person may not make sense when speaking. The person may have difficulty concentrating, following a conversation or remembering things. His or her mind may race or appear to be processing information in slow motion.
False Beliefs: False beliefs, known as delusions, are common. The person can be so convinced of the reality of their delusion that no amount of logical argument can dissuade them. For example, they may believe the police are watching them, or they might think they are receiving special messages from the television, radio or newspaper.
Hallucinations: In psychosis, the person sees, hears, feels, smells or tastes something that is not actually there. For example, they may hear voices which no one else can hear, or see things which aren’t there. Things may taste or smell as if they are bad or even poisoned.
Changed feelings: How someone feels may change for no apparent reason. They may feel strange and cut off from the world. Mood swings are common and they may feel unusually excited or depressed. A person’s emotions feel dampened and they may show less emotion to those around them.
Changed behavior: People with psychosis may behave differently from the way they usually do. They may be extremely active or lethargic. They may laugh inappropriately or become angry or upset without apparent cause. Often, changes in behavior are associated with the symptoms already described above. For example, a person believing they are in danger may call the police. Someone who believes he is Jesus Christ may spend the day preaching in the streets. A person may stop eating because they are concerned that the food is poisoned, or have trouble sleeping because they are scared.
The symptoms of psychosis are often categorized as either “positive” or “negative.”
Positive symptoms are those that add to or distort the person’s normal functioning. They include:
delusions (false beliefs that are firmly held and are out of keeping with the person’s culture)
hallucinations (hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling or feeling something that is not actually there)
disorganized speech, thoughts or behaviour (e.g., switching rapidly between subjects in speaking; finding it hard to concentrate or follow a conversation; being unable to complete everyday tasks).
Negative symptoms involve normal functioning becoming lost or reduced. They may include:
restricted emotional and facial expression
restricted speech and verbal fluency
difficulty with generating ideas or thoughts
reduced ability to begin tasks
reduced socialization and motivation.
Other symptoms may include:
cognitive symptoms, such as difficulties with attention, concentration and memory
mood changes
suicidal thoughts or behaviours
substance abuse
sleep disturbances.
Possible Causes of Psychosis
Medical problems that can cause psychosis include:
Alcohol and certain illegal drugs, both during use and during withdrawal
Brain diseases, such as Parkinson disease and Huntington disease
Brain tumors or cysts
Dementia (including Alzheimer disease)
HIV and other infections that affect the brain
Some prescription drugs, such as steroids and stimulants
Some types of epilepsy
Stroke
Psychosis may also be found in:
Most people with schizophrenia
Some people with bipolar disorder (manic-depressive) or severe depression
Some personality disorders
Assessment
Psychiatric evaluation and testing are used to diagnose the cause of the psychosis. Laboratory testing and brain scans may not be needed, but sometimes can help pinpoint the diagnosis. Tests may include:
Blood tests for abnormal electrolyte and hormone levels
Blood tests for syphilis and other infections
Drug screens
MRI of the brain
Clinician-Rated Dimensions of Psychosis Symptom Severity. The American Psychiatric Association is offering a number of “emerging measures” for further research and clinical evaluation.
These patient assessment measures were developed to be administered at the initial patient interview and to monitor treatment progress.
They should be used in research and evaluation as potentially useful tools to enhance clinical decision-making and not as the sole basis for making a clinical diagnosis.
Treatment
Depends on the cause of the psychosis.
Care in a hospital is often needed to ensure the person's safety.
Antipsychotic drugs, which reduce hallucinations and delusions and improve thinking and behavior, are helpful.
Psychosis can prevent people from functioning normally and caring for themselves.
Left untreated, people can sometimes harm themselves or others.
Prevention depends on the cause. For example, avoiding alcohol prevents psychosis caused by alcohol use.
Coordinated specialty care consists of multiple components:
Individual or group psychotherapy is tailored to a person’s recovery goals. Cognitive and behavioral therapies focus on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to build resilience and cope with aspects of psychosis while maintaining and achieving personal goals.
Family support and education programs teach family members about psychosis as well as coping, communication, and problem-solving skills. Family members who are informed and involved are more prepared to help loved ones through the recovery process.
Medication management (also called pharmacotherapy) means tailoring medication to a person’s specific needs by selecting the appropriate type and dose of medication to help reduce psychosis symptoms. Like all medications, antipsychotic medications have risks and benefits. People should talk with a health care provider about side effects, medication costs, and dosage preferences (daily pill or monthly injection).
Supported employment and education services focus on return to work or school, using the support of a coach to help people achieve their goals.
Case management provides opportunities for people with psychosis to work with a case manager to address practical problems and improve access to needed support services.
How well a person does depends on the cause of the psychosis.
If the cause can be corrected, the outlook is often good. In this case, treatment with antipsychotic medicine may be brief.
Some chronic conditions, such as schizophrenia, may need lifelong treatment with antipsychotic drugs to control symptoms.
Early Intervention
Research has found that early intervention is beneficial for patients and loved ones for the following reasons:
Less treatment resistance and lower risk of relapse
Reduced risk for suicide
Reduced disruptions to work or school attendance
Retention of social skills and support
Decreased need for hospitalization
More rapid recovery and better prognosis
Reduced family disruption and distress
A person will often show changes in their behavior before psychosis develops. Behavioral warning signs for psychosis include:
Suspiciousness, paranoid ideas, or uneasiness with others
Trouble thinking clearly and logically
Withdrawing socially and spending a lot more time alone
Unusual or overly intense ideas, strange feelings, or a lack of feelings
Decline in self-care or personal hygiene
Disruption of sleep, including difficulty falling asleep and reduced sleep time
Difficulty telling reality from fantasy
Confused speech or trouble communicating
Sudden drop in grades or job performance
Alongside these symptoms, a person with psychosis may also experience more general changes in behavior that include:
Emotional disruption
Anxiety
Lack of motivation
Difficulty functioning overall
In some cases, a person experiencing a psychotic episode may behave in confusing and unpredictable ways and may harm themselves or become threatening or violent toward others. The risk of violence and suicide decreases with treatment for psychosis, so it is important to seek help. If you find that you are experiencing these changes in behavior or notice them in a friend or family member and they begin to intensify or do not go away, reach out to a health care provider.
IN TEENS OR YOUNG ADULTS. Before having clear symptoms of psychosis, a teen or young adult often experiences distressing changes in thoughts and emotions. They might:
believe something odd is going on with them, or feel confused about what is real or imaginary
feel singled out, watched, or not fully in control of their thoughts
report changes in perception, such as their eyes or ears playing tricks, hearing jumbled, incomprehensible voices, or seeing shadows or figures in the corners of their eyes
ask for help in trying to make sense of unsettling experiences like these.
Programs specializing in psychosis risk aim to reach out to these individuals.
Recognizing the early signs of psychoses are important in order to get appropriate treatment as early as possible. Early symptoms of psychosis may include, but are not limited to:
odd or bizarre behavior
changes in thinking or speech
decrease in personal hygiene
social withdrawal
preoccupation with a particular topic
marked changes in emotion
Other, more obvious symptoms may include:
extreme suspicion of others,
paranoia,
auditory or visual hallucinations,
delusions and odd, irrational beliefs.
Psychosis is often stigmatized and misunderstood, which can get in the way of getting help. But research has shown that three-quarters of people who do get effective help early can experience relief from their symptoms.
For people who show signs of a possible psychosis, sometimes called "attenuated psychosis syndrome," only about one-third go on to develop a full-blown psychosis. However, they usually have symptoms of depression and anxiety, which can benefit from treatment.
Psychosis as a Symptom
A number of mental illnesses can include psychosis as a symptom, including:
Schizophrenia: A person has some psychotic symptoms for at least 6 months, with a significant decline in the ability to function.
Schizophreniform disorder: A person has some psychotic symptoms for more than one month and less than 6 months.
Bipolar disorder: With this type of illness, the symptoms of psychosis relate more to mood disturbance than to thought disturbance.
Schizoaffective disorder: A person will have symptoms of schizophrenia and, at some point in the course of illness, concurrent symptoms of a mood disturbance.
Depression with psychotic features: A person has severe depression and symptoms of psychosis without the mania associated with bipolar disorder.
Drug-induced psychosis: The use of drugs such as cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, LSD, amphetamines and alcohol can sometimes cause psychotic symptoms.
Organic psychosis: Sometimes, symptoms of psychosis may appear as a result of a physical illness or a head injury.
Brief psychotic disorder: This type of psychosis usually lasts less than a month. It is sometimes triggered by a major stress in the person's life, such as a death in the family.
Delusional disorder: This type of psychosis consists of very strong, fixed beliefs in things that are not true, without the presence of hallucinations.
Psychotic Disorder - any of a number of severe mental disorders, regardless of etiology, characterized by gross impairment in reality testing. The accuracy of perceptions and thoughts is incorrectly evaluated, and incorrect inferences are made about external reality, even in the face of contrary evidence. Specific symptoms indicative of psychotic disorders are delusions, hallucinations, and markedly disorganized speech, thought, or behavior; individuals may have little or no insight into their symptoms. Some examples of psychotic disorders are schizophrenia, schizophreniform disorder, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, brief psychotic disorder, and psychotic disorders due to a substance (see substance-induced psychotic disorder) or to a medical condition.
How to help someone else experiencing symptoms of psychosis:
Often, family and friends help identify someone who is struggling with psychosis, and suffering from their symptoms, so they're important to getting them in touch with professionals who can help.
Stressful life events, such as going off to college or breaking up with a significant other, can trigger psychosis. Further research is needed into why this is, but a low underlying "stress tolerance" level is often seen.
It's all right to mention to someone that you're worried about them, and open the door to discussing it at that point or later. You can find out if there's an early-psychosis clinic near you, and provide information or offer to contact them.
If you notice signs that they're harming themselves, that's the time to seek immediate help, often by starting with contacting suicide hotline or nearby psychiatric emergency room for advice. People with psychosis have 10 to 15 times the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors than others.
Treatment, support and how to help find answers for people struggling with psychosis:
Treatments for people showing potential signs of psychosis mostly focus on talk therapy, also called cognitive behavioral therapy. Family and group therapy are also important, and can be done virtually.
For people who show clear breaks with reality, antipsychotic medication can help greatly. The vast majority of people who receive these medicines experience improvement in their symptoms, but they may also experience side effects, so it's important to work with a trained professional to find the best fit.
Women who experienced postpartum psychosis after having a baby are at high risk of experiencing it again if they have another pregnancy, and should receive special attention during and after pregnancy.
A very small number of people with psychosis may be driven by their paranoia or hallucinations to act strangely in public or try to harm others. If you find yourself having to call the police because of such behaviors, make sure they understand and acknowledge that the person you're calling about has a mental health condition and needs help getting to appropriate care.
Just like many infectious diseases can cause a fever, psychosis is part of many mental health conditions – but what exactly causes it isn't well understood. That's why researchers needs people with psychosis to consider taking part in the studies they're running.
"Psychosis strikes in the years when people are just starting to be truly independent in life, work and school, which can make it especially devastating to the person and the family. The process of brain maturation depends on a lot of things going right inside our brains and if they don't, things can go askew. The longer they go untreated, the higher the chance they may experience damage to the brain and be worse off even when they get treatment." Stephan Taylor M.D., who leads a team at Michigan Medicine that specializes in early care for psychosis

Writing about Mental Health Conditions
Hi, here are some references. Choose which ones are most appropriate to incorporate in your story. If possible, it would also be valuable if you know person/s who experience psychosis & speaking with them about it (or if you have personal experiences you could draw from). There's a wide range, so narrowing your depiction down to model one specific life story (or borrowing from just a few) could make your writing more realistic. Do go through the sources linked above as well for more details I wasn't able to include here. Hope this helps with your writing!

A theory:
Category: What caused this incident?
Category 1: Direct interference from the OIAR or one of its affiliates. (Bonzo, Needles, the person who reanimated Arthur Winstead)
Category 2: The location where it happened was marked. (Guy who turned into a tree, the charity shop, the liminal architecture)
Category 3: The victim walked into it on their own. (Violinist, dice guy, finance app guy)
Rank: What was the result of this incident?
Rank A: Net positive. There will be a price to pay. (RedCanary is the only A)
Rank B: Net negative. There is a benefit to reap. (Bonzo, Needles, dice guy, finance app guy, horror movie guy...)
Rank C: Net neutral. This incident balanced itself. (Guy that turned into a tree, violinist, charity shop)
Combined categories have more than one cause. RedCanary (23) went to a marked location, and chose to investigate the symbols they found. Gordon (23) chose to investigate the corpse, but was also affected by the cliffside location.
Combined ranks balance differently depending on whose perspective you take. Harriet (BC) was terrified of her reanimated husband, but Arthur had a balanced experience between being reanimated and losing parts of himself. Daria (BC) had a negative experience with Ink5oul, but balanced their own cost/benefit relationship with the tattoo. RedCanary (AB) had nothing but negatives after going to the Institute... but something else benefited from it.
-
Two notes:
1) Both dice guy and finance app guy successfully balanced their experiences as long as they rode the catastrophe curve between loss and profit. It was only when they tried to break the cycle that the final (deadly) negative blow came. This contrasts with the violinist, who reaped the benefits and paid the price willingly into old age.
2) The trailer with Sam's job interview was marked as Category 1, Rank B.

A Guide to Disconnecting With a Digital Detox Challenge

In our hyper-connected world, smartphones and other devices have become extensions of ourselves. Although convenient, there are times when it’s beneficial to disconnect and go on a digital detox challenge
While the internet has revolutionized the way we live, work, and play, it has also led to an increase in digital dependency, distracting us from paying attention, disrupting our sleep patterns, and affecting our mental health. A digital detox challenge offers a structured way to break free from digital dependency, re-evaluate our relationship with technology, and rediscover the joy of living in the present.
The Pitfalls of Hyper-Connectivity
In the age of digital abundance, hyper-connectivity and the incessant consumption of digital content have become pervasive, shaping behaviors and influencing mental health in profound ways. Although there are many benefits of being connected online, it’s also important to understand the issues and recognize the need for a balanced digital diet.
Hyper-connectivity refers to the state of being constantly connected to devices and the internet, making it virtually impossible to disconnect. While it offers unparalleled access to information and socialization, it also causes many challenges:
Information Overload: Constant exposure to a stream of information can overwhelm the brain, making it difficult to process information effectively and leading to decision fatigue.
Decreased Productivity: The myth of multitasking on digital platforms can actually hamper productivity, as the brain switches between tasks, reducing efficiency and increasing mistakes.
Emotional Exhaustion: The need to be always available and responsive on various communication platforms can lead to burnout and emotional exhaustion.
Overconsumption of Content
The digital world offers an infinite stream of content, from news and entertainment to social media updates. Overconsumption of this content can have several negative impacts
Attention Span: Continuous scrolling and content consumption can reduce the ability to focus on a single task for extended periods, affecting learning and comprehension.
Echo Chambers: Algorithms designed to show users content that aligns with their views can create echo chambers, limiting exposure to diverse perspectives and contributing to social polarization.
Addictive Behaviors: The design of many platforms, aimed at maximizing user engagement, can lead to addictive patterns of behavior, making it difficult for individuals to limit usage.
Influence of Social Media
While social media has transformed the way we connect and share with others, its overuse has been linked to several negative outcomes
Mental Health: Excessive social media use has been associated with increased rates of anxiety, depression, and loneliness, particularly among adolescents and young adults.
Distorted Reality: Social media platforms often portray idealized versions of life, leading to unhealthy comparisons and feelings of inadequacy or jealousy.
Sleep Disruption: The use of social media before bedtime can interfere with sleep quality, due to both the stimulating effects of screen light and the emotional engagement with content.
The Benefits of a Digital Detox
A digital detox involves a period during which a person refrains from using tech devices such as smartphones, computers, and social media platforms. The goal is to reduce stress, focus on social interactions in the physical world, and engage more deeply with the immediate environment.
Mental Health: Constant notifications and the pressure to be always "on" can lead to anxiety and stress. Disconnecting helps in reducing these symptoms, enhancing overall emotional well-being.
Enhanced Focus: Without the constant distractions of digital devices, you can focus better on tasks, leading to improved productivity and efficiency in both personal and professional endeavors.
Better Sleep: Screen time, especially before bed, can interfere with sleep quality. A digital detox can help normalize sleep patterns, leading to more restful and restorative sleep.
Improved Relations: Spending less time on devices allows more time for face-to-face interactions, strengthening relationships with family, friends, and colleagues.
Increased Creativity: Stepping away from digital screens provides the mental space to think more deeply and creatively, fostering new ideas and solutions to problems.
Enhanced Wellness: Reducing screen time can encourage self-care and inspire a more healthy lifestyle, especially decreasing the risks associated with sedentary living.
More Gratitude: Disconnecting from the digital world helps in cultivating a greater appreciation for the little things in life, enhancing mindfulness and gratitude for the present moment.
Higher Self-Esteem: Social media can often lead to comparisons that affect self-esteem negatively. A detox can help in breaking this cycle, improving confidence and happiness.
Reduced Dependency: Taking regular breaks from digital devices helps in reducing dependency, making it easier to enjoy downtime without feeling the need to check in online.
Enhanced Privacy: Stepping back from online spaces can also protect personal privacy by reducing the amount of personal information shared on the internet, decreasing exposure to potential data breaches and privacy invasions.
Plan Your Digital Detox Challenge
SET CLEAR GOALS
Begin by defining what you want to achieve with your digital detox. Is it to reduce stress, improve sleep, or spend more time with loved ones? Having clear goals will help guide your process.
START SMALL
If the idea of completely disconnecting feels overwhelming, start small. Designate certain times of the day as tech-free, such as during meals or an hour before bed.
INFORM YOUR CIRCLE
Let your friends, family, and colleagues know about your digital detox challenge. This helps set expectations and reduces the anxiety of missing out.
REMOVE TEMPTATIONS
Uninstall social media apps or use tools to limit your screen time. The less accessible your devices are, the easier it will be to resist the temptation.
PLAN ALTERNATIVES
Identify activities to fill the time you would typically spend on devices. Whether it's reading a book or hosting a dinner party, find something that enriches you.
During the Digital Detox Challenge
EMBRACE BOREDOM
Boredom sparks creativity and self-reflection. Allow yourself to feel bored without reaching for your phone as an easy escape.
ENGAGE IN MINDFULNESS
Use this time to engage in activities that require your full attention and presence, such as meditation, cooking, or gardening.
CONNECT WITH NATURE
Spending time in nature can have a profound effect on your mental and physical well-being. Take walks, go for hikes, or simply spend time in a local park.
REFLECT AND JOURNAL
Use this period to reflect on your relationship with technology. Consider keeping a journal to document your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
After the Digital Detox Challenge
EVALUATE YOUR EXPERIENCE
After completing your digital detox, take time to evaluate the experience. What did you learn? What habits do you want to change moving forward?
SET NEW BOUNDARIES
Based on your detox experience, set new boundaries for your digital device use. This might include designated tech-free times or days, limiting social media use, or turning off notifications.
ENHANCE YOUR ROUTINE
Make digital detoxing a part of your daily routine. Regularly unplugging, even if just for a few hours, can help maintain the benefits of your detox.
The challenges posed by hyper-connectivity, overconsumption of content, and excessive social media use highlight the importance of digital detoxes and mindful engagement with technology. By recognizing these issues and taking proactive steps to manage our digital consumption, we can mitigate the negative impacts on our mental health, productivity, and personal relationships.

SEVEN THINGS that affect your vibrational frequency from a quantum physics perspective.
Vibration in quantum physics means that everything is energy. We are vibrating beings at certain frequencies. Each vibration equals a feeling and in a “vibrational” world there are only two types of vibration, positive and negative. Every feeling makes you emit a vibration, which can be positive or negative.
1st - *Thoughts*
Every thought emits a frequency into the Universe and this frequency returns to the origins, so if you have negative thoughts, despondency, sadness, anger, fear, it all comes back to you. That is why it is so important to take care of the quality of your thoughts and learn to cultivate more positive thoughts.
2nd - *Companies*
The people around you directly affect your vibrational frequency. If you surround yourself with happy, positive and determined people, you too will enter into that vibration. Now, if you surround yourself with people who complain, meditate and are pessimistic, be careful! Indeed, they can lower your frequency and therefore prevent you from using the law of attraction to your advantage.
3rd - *Music*
Music is very powerful. If you only listen to music that talks about death, betrayal, sadness, abandonment, all this will interfere with your vibrations. Pay attention to the lyrics of the music you listen to, it can lower the frequency of vibrations. And remember - you attract into your life exactly what you vibrate.
4th - *What you're looking at*
When you watch shows that deal with misfortune, death, betrayal, etc. your brain accepts it as reality and releases a whole chemistry into your body that affects your vibrational frequency. Watch for things that feel good and help you vibrate at a higher frequency.
5th - *Mood*
Whether at home or at work, if you spend a lot of time in a messy, dirty environment, it will also affect your vibrational frequency. Improve your surroundings, organize and tidy up your environment. Show the Universe that you are capable of receiving much more. Take care of what you already have!
6th grade - *Word*
Pretending or speaking ill of things and people affects your vibrational frequency. To keep your frequency high, it is important to break the habit of complaining and speaking ill of others. So avoid drama and victimization. Take responsibility for your life choices!
7th grade - *Gratitude*
Gratitude has a positive effect on your vibrational frequency. It is a habit that you should incorporate into your life right now. Start being grateful for everything, for the good and for what you consider bad, be grateful for all the experiences you have had. Gratitude opens the door for good things to happen positively in your life.

Quantum Traveler Daniel Martin Diaz
7 things that affect your vibrational frequency from the point of view of quantum physics.
Vibration in quantum physics means that everything is energy. We are vibrating beings on certain frequencies. Every vibration equals a feeling and in the "vibrational" world, there are only two kinds of vibration, positive and negative. Every feeling makes you emit a vibration that can be positive or negative.
1st - Thoughts
Every thought emits a frequency out to the universe and that frequency goes back to the source, so in case if you have negative thoughts, discouragement, sadness, anger, fear, it all comes back to you. This is why it is so important that you take care of the quality of your thoughts and learn to cultivate more positive thoughts.
2nd - The Companies
The people around you have a direct impact on your vibrational frequency. If you surround yourself with happy, positive, and determined people, you will also enter this vibration. Now if you surround yourself with complainers, medics and pessimists, be careful! Indeed, they can decrease your frequency and therefore prevent you from exploiting the law of attraction in your favor.
3rd - The Music
Music is very powerful. If you only listen to music that talks about death, betrayal, sadness, abandonment, all of these will interfere with your vibration. Pay attention to the lyrics of the music you listen to, it could be lowering your vibrational frequency. And remember: you attract exactly what you vibrate into your life.
4th - Things You Watch
When you watch shows that deal with misfortune, death, betrayal, etc. your brain accepts this as reality and releases a whole chemistry in your body, which affects your vibrational frequency. Watch things that do you good and helps you vibrate at a higher frequency.
5th - The Mood
Whether at home or at work, if you spend a lot of time in a disorganized and dirty environment, it will also affect your vibrational frequency. Improve your surroundings, organize and clean up your environment. Show the universe that you are capable of receiving so much more. Take care of what you already have!
6th - The Word
If you pretend or speak poorly about things and people it affects your vibrational frequency. To maintain your frequency high, it is essential to eliminate the habit of complaining and bad talking about others. So avoid the drama and victimization. Take responsibility for your life choices!
7th - The Gratitude
Gratitude has a positive effect on your vibrational frequency. This is a habit you should incorporate into your life now. Start giving thanks for everything, for the good things and what you consider bad, give thanks for all the experiences you have experienced. Gratitude opens the door for good things to happen positively in your life.

What even are the ancient laws?
I've been meaning to get around to this one for ages.
Anyways! Good question, guys! Answer: nobody fucking knows. Sure, we have good ideas. The laws are mentioned every now and then as a "oh, no little mortal child I can't help you - that's against the ancient laws. But hey! You can help me."
Let's be honest: the ancient laws, while there might be legitimate reasons for some of them, have transformed into yet another way that the gods hold themselves as the high and mighty overlords of the world, and keep their mortal offspring below them at all costs. But... why? Are the demigods really that dangerous to the gods? The answer: yes, but not to the gods - to Zeus.
Let's start from the beginning and list out everything we know about the laws. I did the hard work, you're welcome:
1. Gods cannot steal each others' symbols of power.
2. A god cannot initiate a fight with a mortal.
3. No direct interference - gods are not allowed to interfere in the lives and ongoings of mortals or monsters.
4. No more than 3 people are allowed on a quest.
5. Harming the sacred animals of a god is forbidden.
And that's it. Those are the only true mentions of the Ancient Laws in the entirety of the Riordanverse (at least, the Greco-Roman books).
And I think we all know what the most important one is. Direct Interference is the only one we see Zeus actively enforcing (or at least attempting to). But why is that? Well, stealing another god's symbol of power and initiating a battle with a mortal are physically impossible for gods, and the ban on harming a sacred animal is very commonly accepted already, as it's a guaranteed way to get your ass whooped. And the rule about having 3 on a quest isn't really something Zeus is going to spare the effort to enforce - starting a quest with more than 3 will typically guarantee that you come home with only 3, if at all.
But Direct Interference is the most interesting law, simply because it's the one that our demigod narrators are affected by the most, either in the ways their godly parents violate it, or refuse to do so.
There's plenty of instances where this law has had quite a bit of impact on the story and relationships. For example, Hermes used this law as a major reason why he could not help Luke or prevent him from raising Kronos. But let's be honest: besides Zeus himself, Hermes might be one of the only gods that actually obey this rule, despite the fact that he wants to break it. Just off the top of my head, I can name an instance in the series where every single Olympian at least toed the line of violating Direct Interference, except for maybe Demeter. And I'm not sure Dionysus counts, since he has contact with his half-blood children because of his position at CHB.
But there's something interesting even about the ways these gods break the law of Direct Interference. In most instances, these interactions with mortals happen when the god is in disguise, or through dreams. And, based on how little it seems like the gods get punished for breaking Direct Interference, we can only assume that Zeus is not aware of when gods talk to demigods via dreams. I mean, he's probably aware that it happens: Apollo, Poseidon, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hera, Ares (who occasionally follows the rule, but only as an excuse to not help a demigod out), Artemis (although she is subject to exceptions due to her domain), Dionysus, Athena (I think?), and Hades all do it at least once in the RRverse. I mean, you could also argue that dreams are a more indirect means if interference, but I can also see how that's an iffy argument at best.
So, what does this mean? If there is one thing I know about laws and rules in general is that people tend to break laws if the direct consequences of their own actions don't directly apply to them. Gods would probably respect the law of Direct Interference more if there was an immediate negative effect on themselves, aside from just the punishment.
Think of a law or a rule that people break all the time. Littering, for example. People do it all the time, even though it's bad. But why is it bad? A person who doesn't have a lot of forethought will drop a piece of trash and say 'hey, that doesn't affect me. The planet will suffer and this will be a pain in the ass to clean up, but I'm not the one cleaning it up, so why do I care?' If you don't care about the planet or other people cleaning up your trash, the only reason you have to not litter is that you're afraid of the punishment.
I think the attitude towards Direct Interference is similar. The only reason a god would obey is if they're afraid of the punishment, or if they respect Zeus enough to follow his laws (which, clearly, is not the norm in godly society). And even then, what is a punishment to an immortal being? The only way Zeus punishes gods that really matters to them is turning them mortal - and that's a very rare occurrence.
By that logic, we can assume that a violation of Direct Interference does not actually negatively affect gods all that much. To be honest, it doesn't negatively affect mortals either. Maybe monsters have the short end of the stick, but monsters didn't write the law of Direct Interference - Zeus did. So... why? Why does it exist?
My first thought was the Fates and prophecy - if gods can interact in mortal life without recourse, then it might fuck with the way the Fates operate. But gods have been interfering for the entirety of civilization. If they really had a the power to alter the future just by dipping a toe in mortal life, don't you think it would have been obvious? Even in the RRverse, there are plenty of instances, as I've mentioned, that gods have interfered in a quest, and said quest wasn't severely fucked over because of that interference. Take, for instance, Percy's quest to save Artemis - Apollo intervened, but where were the consequences of that? Where were the earth-shattering effects?
So what gives? Also, I'd argue that the gods would actually obey the law more if they knew it had such a negative effect on the proper functioning of the Fates, especially Apollo since that's his domain. So I'm going to say that's not the case.
So we're back to the first question: why does the law against Direct Interference exist if it has no effect on the gods or the Fates? In all references to the law against Direct Interference in the Riordanverse, never once is it explained why this law exists. Why would Zeus create it if violating it doesn't have some major world-ending effect? Gods are gods: what could make this law so important that it's the only one Zeus makes a true effort to enforce?
Well, it makes sense to me that Zeus would create the law if he's the one who has to bear the immediate consequences of it. Which raises the question: what are the immediate consequences? What reason could Zeus possibly have to separate half-blood children from their godly parents? HMmmmmmmMMMM.
Well, there's another interesting thing about the Ancient Laws: some of them don't apply to mortals. Mortals can steal a god's symbol of power, and mortals can initiate battles with gods. Imagine with me a scenario in which your enemy has an army that is not subject to the same laws you are. Gods are (as far as I know) physically incapable of stealing symbols of power and starting battles with mortals, but what does that matter if they have half-blood children that reach the power of minor gods, like Percy, who can do that for you?
It's a terrifying premise, if you're Zeus. And before you start telling me that I'm going down yet another far-fetched rabbit hole (listen - I always make sense in the end), we've seen Zeus go down this line of thought before, all the way back in The Lightning Thief. Remember???
Chiron said that the reason Zeus blamed Percy for stealing the Master Bolt was because the mines the Cyclopes used to forge the bolts is close to Poseidon's domain, and he thinks Poseidon has it out for him. Now, there's a theory running around the TOA fandom that gods can control how much power they hand off to their children (as seen with Apollo's children, who rarely inherit the power of prophecy, which we're willing to bet is something Apollo is controlling from behind the scenes), and if Zeus knew that Poseidon had had a child, it's possible Zeus thought Poseidon was trying to create a super-child just for the sake of overthrowing him. I'm willing to bet that one of his greatest fears is that an über-powerful child of one of his brothers would be used to steal his symbol of power and then overthrow him. He views demigod children like weapons that his enemies can use because they could be inherently dangerous to the standard structure of godly society. His main fear is somebody with the motivation of Luke having the power of Percy. And what do paranoid kings do when presented with the idea of their greatest fears? Make laws against them.
The only way Zeus could be sure that Poseidon would never intentionally have a child like Percy, then bring him under his wing just in time to start a rebellion against him is to ban that kind of interaction at all.
Counterpoint: you could also say that the law against Direct Interference was a way to protect the mortals against the gods who might harm them or do them dirty. Like getting women pregnant while in the form of a swan. Ahem ahem. Do you get my point, though? It's not like Zeus has any real reason to protect the mortals in this way, since he was one of the main perpetrators anyways, but it is a damn good excuse if he also wanted a reason to prevent a potential revolution led by demigods.
Now, if you'll bear with me for a little bit longer, there is one more interesting thing I'd like to point out: In the entirety of Trials of Apollo, Apollo (a god, obviously) only mentions following the Ancient Laws once. Unsurprisingly, at the time he's mentioning the law against Direct Interference, he's also violating it - when he kills Commodus to save lives, Rome, and for his own peace of mind. So, to me this basically means that Apollo doesn't give two single shits about following laws against Direct Interference.
Connect that with everything else we know about Apollo post-trials: he loves his kids, doesn't want to see them hurt, and is trying to distance himself from Zeus and godly society. Even pre-trials, he doesn't have any trouble admitting that Zeus makes his rules and laws difficult to follow - nobody is good enough in Zeus' eyes. I truly believe, if there's any person who, given the proper means and motivation to overthrow at least some aspects of the Direct Interference law, he would.
Just saying. Feel free to add on if anybody else has more thoughts!

The End

— I always saw you at funerals. Kingscholar, Rosehearts, Al-Asim, Trappola, Spade... Sebeck, Silver... Lilia
Even on my wedding day and the birth of my first child, my gaze always fell upon you. No matter where you were, I always found you. At first, I thought it was just a coincidence, but seeing you so many times made me suspicious.
The figure at his side listened silently.
— Every time I approached you, you disappeared, as if you had never existed.
¿Who are you?
At that question, the figure took hold of his hood and slid it back, revealing his face. A human appeared before Malleus's eyes. His features were simple, so ordinary that anyone would ignore them. His only major characteristic seemed to be those piercing black eyes, devoid of life.
—You were always so observant, Tsunotaro.
Malleus's eyes widened in surprise, then relaxed into a fond smile.
— It's been so long, son of man.
Although his face seemed serious and bored, the mention of that name made Yuu shudder slightly.
— How... How come I barely remember you?
— ...I didn't wish to interfere in their lives; my mere existence distorted their destinies. I had done enough by being present at those events of overblot. I only did... what I had to do."
Malleus sighed, though it sounded more like the groan of a tired man.
— I've never blamed you for that... We didn't fall into overblowing because of you; we also had a lot of pent-up negative feelings that a pair of conceited and proud students simply couldn't carry. — He smiled slightly, remembering what Principal Crowley used to call them.
—...In front of you is the creator of the stain, and you say it's not my fault.
—In front of me is neither God, nor the creator of the stain, nor my friend... In front of me is my first love.
Yuu world was suddenly shaken.
His cold hands, barely present in the earthly world, reached for Malleus's wrinkled hands. Malleus took it in his own, feeling the warm touch of them, a touch that had made him forget.
— I don't want to leave — Malleus's voice sounded sad.
— This isn't the end... You'll be reborn in this world a couple of years later in a different body, then in the next, and the next. You won't be alone, Lilia, just as Silver and Sebeck will always know you.
Hearing those words, Malleus smiled, but his expression still held a sad look.
— That's not why I don't want to leave.
— Then why is it?
Yuu brought the hand that Malleus held so lovingly up to his face and gently kissed it.
— I don't want to leave you alone.
Yuu felt a jolt again. In such a short time, Malleus had managed to produce some feelings in him.
A being who was slowly beginning to forget them.
— I'll always be there, watching. No matter your gender or species.
— When will you stop watching me? And let me hold you?
Yuu hand squeezed Malleus's, and for the first time in years... he smiled at him. However, his smile seemed bitter and sad.
Seeing this, Malleus knew the answer to his question. And he answered with the same handshake as Yuu.
— I'm sure that in my second life, nor in the one after that, nor the one after that... I will find another human being so willing to sacrifice not only their life, but also their very humanity, to protect the Earth and all the species they love so much.
Yuu got up from his seat and approached Malleus's face, never letting go of his hand. He approached his face where he kissed him on the forehead with all the affection he felt at that moment.
The strength he had previously felt holding his hand was gone.
In that valley filled with fairies, a black coffin with exquisite designs and gold embroidery traveled through the streets filled with mourners bidding farewell to the King of Thorns.

Outside the Earth, in the dark universe, rose an abyssal being that covered the entire Earth. However, despite its great size, this entity seemed invisible to the planet's inhabitants.
Its face was covered by a hood, but anyone who looked underneath would see nothing but the infinite emptiness of the cosmos.
Despite being faceless, it tenderly sheltered this NEW WORLD that he created and called
TWISTED WONDERLAND.
Yuu is a cosmic being who decided to sacrifice his humanity to seal the taint. As for Grim... he was the taint. Now he lives in the universe protecting the Earth until the end of existence.
Actually, this is the end. I was planning to create a story with an original male character of mine and the Twisted Wonderland boys. But this idea just wouldn't develop, even though I already had several notes. I just couldn't get past the prologue.
And since the game is in its final arc, I just gave up.
I was thinking of a long story, with feelings that would slowly develop between the boys and my character. He was someone mature and polite, but always willing to give his life for his friends or loved ones.
His past was going to be a real shock because I had planned to add Lovecraftian elements for those who knew. But I just realized I'm not good at writing long stories.
So this is the end of a story that never came out.
I've always been allergic to happiness. Every time I read a novel, I seek to feel emotions. And it may sound masochistic, but I love the knot in my stomach when I see a bitter ending. I came up with this ending thanks to the great plots of the following web novels.
The Omniscient Reader and The Lord of Mysteries.
I hope you enjoy this bittersweet piece.
