About the TWST Rapunzel event

It could have been done better, I said this in my previous post about this event but there was so much potential that could have been added.

I've always been a huge fan of the movie Tangled, (I had 2 separate DVDs of it because 1 was 3d and little me had to have it.) along with Riddle being one of my all time favorite characters, I was incredibly excited. BUT NO IT WAS 2 FUCKING EPISODES LONG

It was a cute event, I enjoyed the funny little plot line as well as the cards being absolutely gorgeous (Jack howl our beautiful prince) but I really wished that we got to see more about the comparisons between Riddle and Rapunzel.

Rapunzel was a princess stolen from birth by a woman who kept her to remain young and beautiful forever, convincing her that she was her mother, teaching her that the outside world and everyone living in it was a place of nightmares. That she'd never survive in it.

Riddle was a young child raised to be the "perfect child" by a mother who made her believe that only she was right, that no one knew better than her. "Shielding" Riddle from everything that could come in between that.

They were inclined to believe that everything their mothers said was right. Because what else to believe than "Mother knows best".

Those, are just the surface comparisons, and within those 2 episodes we got ONE (iirc.) scene of Riddle thinking back to Mrs. Rosehearts.

This event could have been a giant moment for Riddle, development wise, but alas. This was just an in between event.

I could do many analyzations of the Rapunzel soundtrack with Riddles entire story (coughs, When will my life begin.) But I really wish the next Riddle event we get something big. I just felt like the comparisons were far too obvious NOT to notice or bring up.

The rapunzel event had so much potential especially with Riddle as the focus but it was a bit of a let down? I expected more but maybe I’m just picky.

But there was so much more room for that connection between Riddle and Rapunzel and their longing for their own lives to finally begin that just wasn’t touched on at all.
