Like a Dream
Summary: A movie night between two friends blurs into something else. Is it a dream? They hoped not. Warning: Slight makeout, no smut, fluff
—————————————————————————
The sound of raindrops lightly taping against your closed window filled the room. The movie you and Han were watching long forgotten as the two of you enjoyed the others company. He sat to your right, leaning up against a few of your pillows. His hair lightly falling against his eyes, framing his face. He stared mindlessly at his phone that seemed to be playing a Random Facts video. How can someone manage to make the simplest thing look so attractive? You thought. You looked back at all the moments you’ve shared together, coming to the conclusion that you’ve just in deep. Don’t fall for your best friends. They said. It always ends up badly. They said. Like I don’t already know that!
You knew the second your heart skipped a beat for that brown haired boy that there was no going back. And yet here you are years later, in the same spot as before. Honestly I expected nothing less. I mean sure i’ve dreamt of it.. but realistically I knew there’s no chance. I mean, him? Liking me? Absolutely absurd.
A sudden thought popped into your head, causing you to give a small jolt of excitement. Which in turn made Han flinch the smallest bit from your change in mood. He took a quick glance at you before putting his phone down; facing his body towards you to show his undivided attention.
“I want to learn how to rap!” You exclaimed.
Han gave a small tilt of his head before laughing.
“You want to learn how to rap?” He clarified as you gave a small nod of your head. You watched as a confident smirk appeared on his face. You could almost feel his change of mood, the utmost confidence dripping off of him like a cloud of cockiness filling the air.
“Give me a kiss and I’ll teach you.” Han said.
You looked at him with a blank stare. Kiss him?! A spiral of thoughts filled your mind. All the hopeless glances towards him, all the times you’ve said I love you without him knowing you meant it in a non platonic way, all the times you’ve watched from the sidelines as a girl flirts with him, knowing you can’t do a thing. “What?” You’re voice came out in something resembling a whisper.
His eyes squinted in amusement as he let out the most carefree laugh you’ve ever heard. Like he had just told the funniest joke in the world. “I’m joking!” He tried to say through his laugh, falling back into your pillows with the last few chuckles. Feeling the small shake of the bed from his weight hitting the mattress. You watched as he laid there still. His eyes focusing on the smooth white celling that sheltered the two of you from the slow decent of the rain.
Suddenly his eyes went wide, jolting back up to face you as he mirrored your previous expression. One of confusion, and slight surprise. You gave a small tilt of your head at his weird antics. Honestly I shouldn’t be surprised.. it’s Han after all. “You-“ He cut himself off to look around, seeming to check if it was truly just you and him in the room. He leaned forward, lowing his voice, “You were actually considering it?!”
Your eye widened instantly. Crap. “What? No! I was just surprised!” You said raising your hands in defence. “I just wasn’t expecting that response..” your voice sounded quiet, like you had not intended to say that sentence out loud. But you did.. in that tone nonetheless. How could you not? You did feel a tad bit embarrassed. Just a tad though!
“Right..” Han gave you a skeptical look before leaning in a bit more, seemingly unconvinced by your response. “It’s not like I can blame you. I mean, a chance to be taught by me. It’s a hard deal to pass up, I know.” Han gauged your reaction, watching the gears turn in your head before he let out a small gasp at his realization. Since when had the two of us gotten so close? A blush appeared on his cheeks.
The whole atmosphere seemed to shift, into what? He didn’t know. Neither of you did. All you could focus on was his eyes. The way they scanned over you. The way they quickly flickered down to your lips, so fast that you yourself weren’t sure if you imagined it or not. But you instantly snapped out of your thoughts when he started to slowly inch closer to you. His scent filling your senses. Since when did he smell so good? You loved the way his scent surrounded you in comfort, almost like one of his sweaters he’d lend you from time to time. But this? This is much better.
The slightest move and your lips would touch. You could feel his breath on your own, his hovering so close to yours you could barley fit a piece of paper between the two of you. “Is this okay?” He whispered. Scared of your answer. Scared that you’ll pull away. Scared that you’ll say to just forget any of this happened. God he didn’t want that. He didn’t want to forget this. The way your breath felt against his lips, or the way your eyes would flicker between his eyes and his lips. He doubts he could forget this even if he wanted to. God you look so beautiful like this.
“Yes. Please.” That’s all he needed to hear. Those two words. The way your tone begged, pleaded for him to just close the distance already. Oh he could get used to this. The feeling of your lips against his. The way his hand cupped your face, tilt your head to make the kiss just a bit deeper. He didn’t know when his hand had gotten there, or when your own hands had clasped around the back of his neck, pulling him in closer. But god he loved every second of it.
He pulled away after a bit, continuing to stare into your eyes. Clouded. That’s how his brain felt. The same way you’d feel after waking up from a realistic dream. The type that makes you question if it was reality or pure fiction your brain had conjured up on a whim.
Is this a dream? He hoped not. But, before he could think further your lips were on his. If this is a dream, it’s the best dream i’ve ever had. He concluded, before pulling you into his lap. His back resting against your bed frame while both hands cupped your face. It was his way of checking if this was real or just a dream. He could feel the warmth of you skin seep into his own. The way your thighs straddled his hips. The way your heart beats against his chest. There’s no way this could be a dream. It all feels so real..
but it’s too good to be true. He knew that. At least he should. After all those times he’d wake up, the only remanence of your touch being the fading warmth that ghosted over his skin seconds ago.
He pulled back once again, choosing to lay his hands on your waist instead. You looked at him questionably. “What’s wrong?” it took you a second to build up the corsage to say it. Fearing the answer that would come along with it.
“Is this a dream?” He huffed, trying to catch his breath. Seeing the visible look of confusion on your face he explained his thoughts further. “It’s just. This is too good to be true.” He gave a small sigh, threading a hand through his hair before replacing it on your hip once again. He looked up to you, scanning your face for the smallest hint that would reveal what you were thinking inside that pretty little head of yours.
“You think this is a dream?” You questioned, moving your hands from his shoulders to the back of his neck, locking them behind it before pulling him closer. “I hope not.” You glanced away, feeling a rush of embarrassment run through you. “Please tell me it isn’t.” You’d plead, looking back to meet his eyes, staring into one another. Exchanging thoughts without words. The two of you always seemed to be able to do that. Understanding how the other felt with just one look. One glance and he knew
everything you needed to say without words getting in the way. That was one of the things you loved about him. He understood you, and you him.
Han couldn’t help but lean into the crook of your neck. You could feel the blush that dusted his cheeks. Laughing a little at the boys reaction. Your hand began to thread through his locks, unknowingly tightening your grip when he began to suck on your neck. A small moan slipped through your lips, egging him on. His mouth moved up your neck, placing small kisses over your skin. Before beginning to suck marks where ever he pleased.
“God you’re perfect.” He mumbled against your skin. He wanted to mark every part of you. Every inch. Every curve, every dip.
“You have no idea how long i’ve waited for this.” He said between kisses. “I’ve loved you for so long.” He paused, pulling back to stare into your eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” A sigh escaped his lips, turning his head down to stare at nothing.
Your hand found his cheek, lightly stoking your thumb against it as you hummed. His eyes found yours once again. “I was scared.” Scared of your answer. Scared of how this will change things. Your eyes read. “I didn’t want to ruin our relationship.” I couldn’t live with myself. Couldn’t live without you. I don’t think I could handle it. Losing you. “I just love you too much to risk anything.”
You watched as his featured soften. His eyes showing nothing but love. Without another thought he pulled you in, leaving a chaste kiss to your lips. So soft and gentle. “I love you too. So much.” Han mumbled before pulling you into himself.

A Warmth That Felt Like Home
Hi! I was looking through my drafts and found this story and decided to post it. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Angst (readers friend is in the hospital), Comfort, Strangers to Something more, Felix being an absolute sunshine
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
You felt your body slump against the cold hospital wall. Why? That’s all you could ask. Not how or when but why. Why did this happen?
Because of you. That always seemed to be the reason. It was as though you were fated to cause bad things to happen to those around you. Even when the people around you say it isn’t your fault, you know it is. There’s no way this isn’t something to do with you. Fate had just decided to give you a cruel hand of cards.
You trailed your hands up to cover you eyes. There’s no way you’re crying here. Not in this forsaken place. A shaky sigh left your lips. Why out of all the people in your life did It have to be her. The one person that had been there for you all your life. Your best friend since childhood.
“What am I going to do?” The tremble in your voice fell on deaf ears as you moved your hands from you eyes to the side of your head. “I don’t know if I can do this without you.”
Hours passed and you still heard nothing. At the time you had decided to moved from the floor to one of the benches that lined the pale walls, which your helped ease the pain in your back a bit. But you still hadn’t eaten. How could you? You already felt sick to your stomach.
You just continued to stare at the floor with a blank stare. Ignoring all the people who passed by, not even acknowledging the patient that passed by you with a few rushed nurses. Until your trance was broken by an extended hand.
Blinking a few times, you glanced up at the new comer— only to be met with soft eyes. Eyes that eased the rush of emotions that swarmed inside your head by just a moment or two. You opened your mouth to question them, until the sound of your stomach growling cut you off.
You immediately covered your stomach, feeling your cheeks grow red. “Sorry..” You mumbled. A small laugh from the stranger caused your eyes to dart back up to their face. Not missing the small flutter your heart gave from the sound.
“No need to apologize! Here.” The stranger offered you a small lunch box from the hospital cafeteria. He moved a hand to the back of his neck, feeling your confused gaze. “I noticed that you were hungry, so I got you this. Y-You don’t have to take it if it makes you uncomfortable! That’s totally understandable— I mean if..” He began to go on a small rant, while you kept your gaze on him.
He has really pretty eyes. You thought, examining his face. A small smile lit up your face once you noticed his freckles. They reminded you of the time you and your best friend would lay on the ground and watch the sky as the first snow fell around the two of you.
“Thank you..” Your voice came out quiet, gently taking the food from him. His voice cut short. Your hand patted the spot beside you, offering the seat beside you— which he gladly took, making sure to leave a small space between you two.
No words where exchanged after that. But it wasn’t uncomfortable. You didn’t have that gut wrenching feeling you got when the air was tense— no, quite the opposite actually. You felt.. comfortable.
The interactions between you two where, interesting to say the least. You could say you preferred to speak with actions instead of words. Weather that be with small nods of your head or eye movements, you two somehow understood each other. And you didn’t even know each others names.
Your eyes caught something he held in his arms. A container full of.. something, it seemed. Being a step or two away from you, he opened the Tupperware to reveal baked gods. Brownies to be exact. His eyes darted from the treats to you, offering you one.
Giving a small bow of appreciation you gladly took one. And the second it touch your tongue, you a hum of approval. Taking in good portion of it into your mouth, you began to feel a swarm of emotions hit you. A warm feeling. One that you hadn’t felt in a long, long time. The feeling of home.
Tears began to blur your vision, causing the male to panic. “Are they that bad?! You can spit it out! I’m sorry!” But you only shook your head, swallowing the rest of your mouthful.
“What’s wrong..?” He said in a quiet tone, one that was filled with worry. “It..” Your words trailed. “It tasted like home.”
You didn’t know if he’d understand what you meant. Partially expecting a laugh from him. But he didn’t laugh. In fact, he stayed silent. Your eyes dart up to meet his. Finding that same warmth in them.
I know what you mean. He didn’t need to say it. You knew.
Thanks to Felix— who you finally learned the name of after overhearing a conversation he had with his mom— you had began to feel a bit better about the situation. Your best friends condition improved, which allowed you to finally talk to them. Everything thing felt good. Too good.
And just like you expected, it got worse. “No.” You couldn’t believe your ears. There’s no way they were gone. They were filled with life days ago— no, hours ago. They can’t be gone. You can’t do this anymore. Tears stung your eyes, beginning to tremble as your legs gave out.
“Y/n.. “ You couldn’t hear him. Not when the sound of their laugh haunted your ears. The way they could make you laugh by doing the stupidest of things. Your mind didn’t register the feeling of his arms wrapping around you. Or the way you clung to him like you’d lose him too.
“No.. “ You sniffled, pulling away from him. Fear written all over your face. “You can’t.. I don’t want to hurt you too.” Your voice trembled as you pulled back further, hitting the wall. “All I do is cause pain to those around me Felix. I-I I don’t want to hurt you too.” It broke your heart to pull away from his warmth. The warmth you’ve been searching for.
“I’m not going anywhere y/n. I’m not going to leave you here, alone.” His eyes looked into yours. “Please Y/n. I Promise.”
You hesitantly leaned toward him. “B-But.. “ His hand moved to grasp yours. “I promise.” You searched his eyes for any sign of hesitance or insincerity but found none. Your hand gently trailed from your lap to around his neck. He gladly pulled you in. He pulled you close and listened to your cries. Offering you as much of his warmth he could. A warmth that felt like home.

Warnings: idk Fluff? Best Friends to Lovers Summary: Movie night with your best friend Felix
The loud beep caught your attention, reminding you of the popcorn you had placed in the microwave minutes ago. Getting up, you made your way to the appliance beginning your next task. Felix should be here soon.
You thought back to the small text you received earlier that evening. Felix had said he wanted to spend some extra time with you; lucky for him, you had been missing him as well. Due to his busy schedule the two of you rarely hung out as often a you did in the beginning of your relationship. So you gladly accepted his offer, inviting him over to your house for a movie night, consciously knowing that he’d stay the night, like he always did. It being a small tradition between the two of you.
You and Felix’s friendship had began to blur within the lines of a relationship and friends, neither really knowing how the other felt- while also being too scared to confess and ruin the bond you had created after years of friendship.
A small sigh left your lips. If only you could just buck up and confess to him. Any rational person would realize the obvious signs he had sent you, but you being you couldn’t distinguish if those signs were him just being a good best friend.
“Shut up y/n, its not he’d ever like you anyways. Just be happy with what you have,” you told yourself. Placing the bowl of popcorn on the small coffee table you herd the sound of your door opening. You gave a small smile, knowing it was him. “Lix!” You exclaimed, urning on your heel and running up to him.
He gave a mischievous smile, before swiftly dodging your open arms and going straight for the popcorn. “Felix~” You pouted, feeling your body slump as you gave a sad look to the boy who had already began stuffing his face. “So you love popcorn more than me now, huh?”
A small giggle left his lips as his eyes crinkled. “Sorry y/n, but I can’t chose what I love more.”
“Wow! Well I made cookies but thanks to you last reply, you wont be getting any. Enjoy watching me eat all of those delicious cookies in front of you!” Before Felix could utter a reply you booked it to the oven, pulling out the sheet of cookies out.
Lifting one to your mouth you watched as Felix’s face shot up, instantly running to you. “AH! Y/n NO-“ He outstretched his hand towards your own, attempting to stop you; but you were too quick. The second you bit down on the cookie Felix’s form slumped, his outstretched arm going limp.
You quirked you eyebrow, “Well? Do you have anything you want to say?” Felix’s pleading eyes met yours, as he gave another small pout. “Fine then.” Without another word spoken, you shoved the rest of the baked good into you mouth.
With a triumphant smile, you brought the plate of cookies to the living room, while walking past a distressed Felix. Taking a seat on the couch you gave a small glance to your best friend. “You know, all of this can still be solved with a hug.”
Perking up at your words, Felix pounced on you within seconds. Wrapping his arms around your torso while snuggling his head into the crook of your neck. “I’m sorry~ You know popcorn could never replace you!” He exclaimed; then uttering “Most of the time..” under his breath.
You tried you best to ignore the rising feelings that fluttered in your chest, praying to the heavens that he couldn’t hear your increased heart rate— little did you know, he did indeed hear it, and that only caused his own heart rate to pick up.
“Hmm ill forgive you,” your words trailed off, waiting for a reaction from the one above you— more like on you. Moving his head, his eyes caught sight of yours, encouraging you to go on.
You always loved that about Felix. No matter what you spoke of, he always seemed to be offering you his full attention; even during times where not even you knew what you where talking about. It made you feel like what you had to say was important— to him at least.
“If you make me your brownies.” You could see the sparkle in his eyes brighten at the mention of his brownies. “Hmm~ I guess I could do that for you,” he said with an amused tone. “Then I guess you can have some of my cookies.”
Your eyes caught his as, watching as his eyes turned to crescents. You couldn’t help yourself- I mean how can you not get lost in his eyes. The one person that had been there for you, no matter what. Offering a shoulder to cry on when you needed it, or even small words of love. You couldn’t help but think, what would you do without him.
Noticing your eyebrows furrow, Felix lightly brushed his thumb against you side, bringing you out of your trance. “You ok? You looked like you spaced out there.” With a small nod, you brushed off his worried tone. “I’m good, just thinking. Anyways!”
Moving your attention to the flat screen, you reached for the remote— being careful not to move much. “Got any ideas?” Your eyes fleeted to Felix’s, catching a glint of adoration in them. You tilted your head, switching to his other eye and back.
The blonde seemed to realize his mistake, shaking his head in response and moving off of you. He made sure to keep his eyes locked on the screen, refusing to look at you. “Um- I don’t really know. Let’s just scroll through our options and pick the best one.”
“Sounds good,” You said before moving into a upright position beside him. Your eyes flickered between him and the tv, slightly disappointed at lack of touch. Why had he moved off of you? Had you made him uncomfortable? “What about this one? I’ve been planning to watch it anyways.” Felix gave a nod of approval, before leaning forward and grabbing one of the cookies and the bowl of popcorn.
He gently handed the bowl to you, before turning his attention back to the movie. Your eyes stared at the screen, as your mind filled with thoughts. Why did it feel so awkward between you two? It’s not like you haven’t seen each other in a while. In fact, you had seen him no more than a week ago.
A sudden thought popped into your head, a thought that made your nerves spike. Did he know? Did he know that you liked him? That’s the only rational reason. He knew you liked him and doesn’t like you back. He’s not saying anything because he doesn’t want o make you feel bad. God you have to fix this. But how?
The words left your mouth before you could take them back. “I’m sorry.” Felix gave you a look of confusion and worry. Feeling the shift in the atmosphere, and clearing sensing that something was wrong, he turned to face you. His legs relaxed against the soft couch in a crossed position, giving you his full attention like he always did.
You looked down, hair slightly covering our face as you played with your fingers— a habit you have had since childhood. “I’m sorry that I like you.” The second your words caught his ears Felix had to take a double take. You WHAT? There’s no way he herd you correctly. His lips opened, only for you to continue. “I just- ahh I don’t know!” Your hands moved to over you face, feeling yourself grow warm. Good going y/n! Looks like you just screwed yourself over.
From the look on Felix’s face you could instantly tell that he had no idea about your feelings towards him. “Sorry- I just- im sorry. I tried to ignore it but— you make it so hard!” Your eyes peek out between your fingers as you started to feel the your frustration grow. Not at him of course, but at yourself. How could you fall for your best friend? That’s like the number one rule- Don’t fall for your best friend. And what did you do? Fall for your best friend.
Felix sat still, till trying to process this newfound information. Is he dreaming? He didn’t know. But you took his shocked expression as bad news, beginning to spiral. Your mouth began spewing every feeling you’ve felt through the years of secretly liking your closest friend.
“I mean- You’re always there for me, no matter what. You always found a way to be by my side, even with your hectic schedule. You always listen to me and you actually care about what I have to say. And don’t get me started on how happy you make feel! I could be having the worst day and all you have to do is send me a text and suddenly my day is instantly better. I-.” Your words trailed off. Should you really tell him?
You feel Felix gently take your arms and move them aside, only to be met with blurred vision. You haven’t even realized you were crying. A small whimper left your lips as your eyes met his. His beautiful dark eyes. The ones you’ve lost yourself in countess times.
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.” His thumb began to wipe your tear stained face. You were so great full for him being in your life. You have no idea what you did in the past to deserve to be given even an ounce of his attention, yet here you were.
“Thank you.”
He may of thought you thanked him for wiping your tears away, or just being there for you. But it was more than that. It was for all the times he brought you out of your head. All the times his smile brightened up a room. All the times he blessed your ears with his laugh. All the times he’d make a snarky comment, or play along with your antics. Every time he sang. Every time his eyes crinkled. Every time he Oppenheimer up to you.
Every time he was unconditionally himself.
Pulling you into his embrace, he moved one hand to rest on your head as his fingers soothingly stroked through your hair. “Shh shh its ok. I’m not going anywhere,” he mumbled beside your ear, pulling you further into his chest.
Moments passed when your breath finally calmed. He let you relax into him, noticing your slow heart beat. “I should be the one thanking you,” he mumbled into your skin, delicately pressing his lips against your jaw. “or all the times you made me laugh.” He moved his head to press a kiss to your cheek. “For all the times you made me feel safe and happy.” A third kiss pressed onto you forehead. “For all the times you put up with my antics.” He moved down and pressed a fourth kiss to the tip of your nose. “For making me feel at home.” He stilled in front of your lips as his eyes stared up into yours.
It was almost like he was asking for permission to kiss you. Your hands moved up from his sides to the sides of his face. Lightly tracing the spots that littered his skin. Without another thought you gave a nod. Feeling his breath fan your face, as his eyes fluttered shut.
You could feel the love he felt for you. The way his lips gently pressed against your own. The way the kiss was soft and airy. A kind of kiss that represented unconditional love.
You could get used to this, you thought, feeling your lips tug into a smile.
But as you began to feel your lungs burn with the need of oxygen, you slowly pulled away. Only for Felix to follow your lips. You gave a small laugh at his actions, as you tried to catch your breath. His eyes bore into your own. A soft smile graced both of your lips as he leaned in once again. “For showing me your true self and letting me do the same.”
Then one last peek to you lips.
“Thank you.”
