The Face Of Fear
Alright, everyone knows about the recent violence going on in schools and many parents are feeling quite concerned. For example, a student was arrested off my campus in the early morning for being in possession of a knife, and the parents were informed after the ordeal was over, at about 11 or noon. Just after, I saw many of my friends complaining about the late news.
"They tell us that our children were in danger 4 hours ago. Why didnt they tell us when we we're sending the students to school, in time to turn the busses around and send them right home!"
I was also one of the people complaining that my folks were informed too late for these events, but after reading this type of post, I fight for the other side. If the school were to inform the students' families at the moment, parents would panic. Students would rarely go to school (at least the one I attend) because this happens on a weekly basis.
Parents, in this case, should be ignored, as their worry could cost their young ones their education. As a student myself, missing school would be great, but I do have plans for college, and wouldn't want needless fear getting in the way of that.

Half Adult
Okay so a bit about me: I'm a senior in high school and I work in retail. From 8 to 1030 I take college courses, then I drive to my high school and take those classes from 11 to 230. I have work from 5 to 930. I haven't been posting on here, but ive been saving stories SO WATCH OUT. But anyway, I consider myself a mature person. As I am nearly of age, I already know financing and taxes and scheduling well enough to not fail out of my senior year. In my college building and at home, I am treated like an adult, so it's quite a shock to me to be treated as a child by my high school officials.
For example, I plan to major in art and design, photography specifically. I enrolled in a class entitled "Floral Design", and was dismayed to discover that this course isnt a design course. Floral Design is an FFA course, and would do nothing but put me behind in design. Realizing this, I went to the senior councelor to request a class change into independent art or something similar. The first time I was told my request was not important enough to be considered, and to come back in second semester. I returned today and was told;
"There's no where we can put you, sweetie, you knew what you were going into when you signed up for your courses."
My school does not provide us with course descriptions and no teacher I asked seemed to be able to tell me what Floral Design was when I asked. She also dismissed me by saying that there are no openings for another student when I'm fact, independent art and computer sciences are both hurting for 6th block students. The conversation persisted and I got the feeling she would only listen if an adult (my parent or a teacher) were to talk to her.
This brings me to the point of this large scale rant: although I'm not of age, I deserve to be treated in a deserving way of how I act. If I act professionally and mature, then I expect to be treated in a professional and mature matter. There wouldnt be a problem if I walked in and said "this class is stupid switch me out of it".

Connected Classrooms
So I’m a senior in high school taking college courses for most of the day. Our college room is connected to a sophomore biomedical sciences room via a thin wall they put up to split a big room in half. The lights in both rooms are wired together still, so when one room turns their switch off then the lights go out in the other one and vice versa. The teachers informed us that they use the lights to communicate that we can’t teach because the thin wall carries the loud sounds of the other class through.
So this morning I arrived as one of the last people in the room. Packed with college kids. Smart kids, entrepeneurs. They were being ridiculously loud. The Biomedical class starts before ours does, so naturally they turned our light off. They turned it back on a few moments later.
When my class still didn’t quiet down they did it again. The ‘college’ students started freaking out and asking “why are they doing that? We should do it back!” And proceeded to get louder.
So if anyone was curious if the people who are taking college courses are the 'smart kids’ or the 'cool kids’: they’re not. I’m pretty sure we all cheated to get these classes, and more examples of their nonsense are coming.

The Blood God Becons
So I got written up yesterday and it reminded me of a funny story I'd like to share. The only other time ive been written up was in middle school, 8th grade to be exact. I wasnt the most popular kid, and the preps sitting on the bus in the seat behind me definitely agreed.
I listen to music on the bus, because I dislike other people. These girls were continuously swatting at my head and pulling at my headphones, and I was trying to focus on the music. At the end of the bus ride, when we got to school, I turned around and kinda yelled "if you dont knock that off, I'm going to sacrifice all of your souls to Cthulhu!" They stopped being jerks, for the time being.
That afternoon busride, I was doing my usual and I was tapped on the shoulder. Assigned seats being all of them still say next to me, o decided life would be easier if I just listened to whatever. They asked about what I said and what it means and I was tired so I was just agreeing with them. "Yeah, sure" and "definitely" were my go-to. I had just started to space out when one of the 6th graders started screaming and freaking out. Mass panic. I was called up to sit behind the bus driver (he informed me that he was writing me up) and I listened to music while searching through my fuzzy memory.
apparently I had just agreed that I would murder everyone and sacrifice them to Cthulhu. The vice principle was not as amused as I was when she called me into her office. My mother informed me that the last was not as amused as her when she called.
Basically, I was suspended, the parents of the mean girls pulled them off the bus (good riddance) and I got chewed out by my dad. My parents congradulated me for not whipping around and punching one of them in the nose. Words solve problems, fighting does not. Just watch what you say, and watch what you agree to when youre spacing out. The writeup is still in a binder to this day, and when I get around to it, I'm framing it and hanging it up, cause its the most beautiful thing ever:
"Suspended for threatening to sacrifice peers to Cthulhu."
- By my Vice Principle at the time.

Form of Payment
So I work in retail and people always apologise to me for paying in small change. There was one lady who said "we'll have to do this the hard way" and she gave me $31 in quarters, one separate dollar, and $2 in nickels for a $34 bill. Our guests seem to believe that they are causing me an undue amount of stress by giving me change, so I'd like to clear that up:
Its my job to take and count your money. You are in no way being a bother. If I couldnt count all the change in a timely manner then I wouldnt be a cashier, now would I? Also: all the money I just put into my register is adding to the stuff I have. If I run out of one's, I have to get my manager to give me more. I wont have to do that if you give me 26 singles to pay your bill. The same goes with small change, I do run out of that stuff.
Now what you should be apologising to me for is paying your $17 ticket with a $100 bill. I run out of everything in my register faster, and I have to spend time dropping it into our safe. Tis the job and whatnot, but I dont even get an apologetic glance from them. Go to the bank or something! I'm not here to break your cash!

Get to know me!
1. I don’t care about anything in real life. TO keep that up, I’m gonna CARE ABOUT STUFF HERE. AND NO ONES GONNA STOP ME.
2. There are no pain receptors in the brain, so I will neither run nor hide from criticism. LAY IT ON ME.
3. I only use personal sources (mine or my friends lives). Anything else I say is either common knowledge or I found it somewhere on the web. No citations.
4. I will use this account to basically complain about/tell funny stories about/ be a prick about daily life. I’ll try to not be nice about it
5. Yeah.
