ANCIENT HISTORY STUDENT MOODBOARD
“ So obscure are the greatest events, as some take for granted any hearsay, whatever its source, others turn truth into falsehood, and both errors find encouragement with posterity. ” | Tacitus, Ann. III. 19. 2.

Ares;
Maybe hearts were designed to be gentle but mine is not. Each sadness or rage or passion crashes like ocean waves on rocks, a relentless roar. I find myself pressed between the pages of books on the history of war, tracing the maps of conquests with hungry fingers. I bite my lips until they bleed. Each summer night I watch the thunderstorms darken the sky and feel at home in the violence of the pouring rain. My heart is a drum, beating me forward towards a red horizon. I am tired of compromise. I fall apart with fury, as I do everything else.

anyways here are beauty tips from a 2,000 year old Mediterranean funerary moasic:
rosewater on your face and neck each night
hair left in an up-do with only a slight face framing piece in a gentle curl
earth tone eyeshadow and kohl black eye liner to look sultry even in death
staining your lips a tender red with pomegranate seeds or kisses from a cherry
minimal gold embellishments and a sip or two of red wine to darken your cheeks when you smile in the dreamlike haze caused by Dionysus
