Just came across your pages and omg ur so cool!, (was I mostly here for the ao3 and tumblr stuff? Yes, will I stay? Also yes) your design for tumblr reminds me of the steven universe art style and I love it so much, the post ab the skins or outfits for ao3 was cool, wanted to say an alternative Idea for the blue skin I just had, they wearing a tumblr shirt or pin in there somewhere cause it's blue

I might be a little bit of a fan of SU! Just a liiiiittle XD TBH though it was one of the formative stories of my youth. And I'm so glad it was, it taught me emotional maturity that I still rely upon today. It was also where I first experienced online discourse... A lot of it, actually. ._.' (god the memories)

That is to say, it's a big compliment to hear that my work is still reminiscent of my favorite show 💜

Waking up from your decade long enchanted sleep to learn that, not only is sharing your True Name with the fae okay now, but there's actually a rule against using a false name when entering the faerie market.

Your friends admit that this causes some problems— it's way easier to fall victim to a false deal, or get stolen away now— but everyone goes to the fae market to buy their goods so what are you gonna do? Not see your friends? Go out of your way to buy more expensive stuff from the human market? Yeah right.

Also yes they still perform their light-footed fluttering dances under the silvery light of the full moon, but in order to get in you have to first watch the dancers perform two short plays about why you should shop at certain local businesses. Also if you want to talk about the performance afterwards then you need to trade them your True Name, your home address, your date of birth and your personal interests.

You do this so that the fae can this information on a scroll and give it to local business owners.

Another part of the deal they broke is that nobody may talk negatively about those businesses within the market walls. In fact, your friends say, the enchantment is so effective that it's very difficult to talk negatively about anything at all.

“I know it sounds un-good,” your friend admits. “But there are loopholes.”

“In retrospect,” another friend says, “I wish the town had voted un-yes to teaching the fae about money.”

“On the plus side,” the first friend says, “I hear the market is investing in one of those enchanted statues that responds to questions with deliberately ambiguous riddles, so long as you trade it your memories of secondary school.”

“Oh, cool. Is that why they're burning down the library?”

Hello! I had a question regarding your internet humans! (awesome designs btw) Do you happen to have any idea of what search engines might look like? I was thinking they might be some like... greater life form ig? bc they sort of house every single website out there, but honestly I'm not really sure and I'd love to see what you think/come up with!

So... that's not actually how search engines work. They do not "house every single website" within them. Lemme educate y'all a bit since I know I've got some youngin's here!

Back in the old days (before search engines), to find a website you would have to know it's URL and type it into the address bar (not the search bar, the one with the URL). This was back in the days before the internet had really taken off.

Search Engines were websites you went to that searched for other websites. At first they just looked for similar URL's, then they started incorporating tags that people put under their photos. Then that slowly grew to using keywords, meta data, etc!

(And then companies started paying to get their websites at the top of the search results. And then some search engines started recording personal data and selling it to advertisers. And then they got so big they could start influencing politics. But I digress)

I guess, for the Internet Humans, search engines are also websites! I guess they'd act as... Guides? Maybe traffic controllers? Idk, something that directed you to go where you needed to go. Of course, sometimes they'll just straight deceive the customer to make a quick buck.

They'd have eyes that can see into a websites' data and scan it for what they need. It's a little unnerving to be around them/hold a conversation with them because of that. They're always looking for something...

I LOVE YOUR TUMLBR DESIGN!!!!!!!! is there lore for TagTeam from Tumblrs POV??

Oooh- well, yes and no. I haven't developed any lore surrounding their past yet, but I do have more lore on Tumblr!

Tumblr is both similar to and different than AO3, I like to think that if this universe has its own version of stardust Tumblr and Ao3 were made from the same type of stardust, since they're both fandom oriented.

The only difference is that Tumblr encourages the chaos, whether it be intentionally or not, their presence seems to cause chaos specifically fandom related. Some examples of this is crackfics popping up in AO3s archive or more fandom-related chaos occuring within twitters space, which in reality would just be consumers(us) going nuts over fandom stuff. Maybe they just act a little more erratic? I’m like half genuinely thinking about this and half making it up on the spot…

either way, Tumblrs home-place is full of crazy consumers of all shapes and sizes as well as colors galore. The consumers don’t always, but tend to have many unique features, like leaving paint wherever they walk, or showing many signs of intelligence through papers tumblr has found (some of those papers having genuinely fully thought out fics on them).

Overall, tumblrs home-space is just a huge crazy colorful place with consumers that tumblr just… gets along with. Most are docile because tumblr encourages their crazy features and will give them paint, paintbrushes, writing tools, etc. they’ll also frequently talk to the consumers even if tumblr knows that in reality the consumers cannot understand a word they’re saying.

this is also part of the reason why when faced with the consumers in Ao3s library, they don’t give a shit about him. They don’t seem hungry for content like they were when Ao3 first came across them, and that’s because tumblr, instead of feeding them content, helps them make their own/entertain themselves by finding their interests and encouraging it. Ao3 is astonished that tumblr just… does that… even though the consumers to Ao3 seem like crazy needy hungry creatures.

ao3 is chronically ill/disabled and whenever ao3 is down or having maintenance it’s a flare up (n tumblr helps them/helps take care of them)

I tried to keep it very similar to their default since Reversi is mostly just a color swap and keeps a lot of the same design as usual.
