“Darling!” He called, voice light and playful. Masking the malice and irritation that hid just beneath the surface, “don’t run from me! I only want to help!”

You didn’t heed his demand. As crippled and desperate as you were in your state of heat, you would never willingly bend to the will of an Alpha so renowned for hurting others. In ways so vulgar and psychotic that thinking of it made your stomach toss and turn.

While you still had your sanity in tact, unclouded by the need to be taken and filled, you’d evade him. And if luck was on your side, then maybe, just maybe, you would actually escape.

Fifteen minutes later, and you had found yourself in the upper levels of the ward. A flight of stairs had taken you to an area you had never seen before and you would have considered yourself lucky. Had the door into the room the steps led to not been barricaded closed. You had tugged and yanked as violently as you could without making too much noise at the doorknob; tears welling in your eyes in desperation. Every passing minute had your heat growing deeper, and your ability to deny a domineering Alpha what he wanted was wearing thin. It would only be a matter of time until he trailed your ever strengthening scent again, and when that happened, you were surely done for.

It was a pathetic last resort, but in an attempt to hide yourself from the infamous groom, you tucked yourself away behind a bundle of crates that were stacked just behind the staircase. And not a moment later, you heard the pressing weight of someone ascending the steps.

You didn’t need to look to know it was him. You knew his scent. The time and pattern of his footfalls, the low rumbling of his voice as he hummed. Your heart began to race in your chest, adrenaline burning hot through your body, making everything around you feel slowed down, and muffled. You could barely breathe. Even if you wanted to run now, you couldn’t. Instincts torn between hiding to survive and wanting to serve the approaching Alpha, having you rooted to the spot.

He was coming closer. You knew he knew you were there, all you could do now was hope that whatever the punishment he was sure to give you would be swift. And as minimally painful as possible.

You whimpered as you caught sight of his eyes peering over the boxes at you, head inclined at a tilt as he leered down at you. “Darling,” his seethed, all traces of forced pleasantness completely gone now, “you really gave me a run around, didn’t you, you little minx?”

You could only squeak in reply as he heaved a box out of the way, and took a step towards you. He hauled you to your feet, and not a second after, had you roughly shoved up against the wall behind you.

His breath was hot against your face, and you tilted your chin to the side to evade his burning gaze. His hands were intrusive and tight holding you in place at your waist, before on ascended to grab your cheeks, and force your eyes to meet his.

“What do you have to say?” He demanded, face set in a glower.

“I-I’m sorry, Alpha.” You rasped out in reply.

He smirked then, a strong leg pressing insistently between your thighs, and grinding up against your core. A guttural sound of pleasure crawling from the back of his throat as you gasped and squirmed, Omega instincts now in full control of your mind.

“Good girl.”
