Are there any noticeable differences in certain rogues or the batfam in earth 9700???

major differences for a few batman rogues are Penguin was dirt poor growing up, but his parents lied and said they were rich. Both had jobs that required them to dress fancy but told Oswald that he was being sent to a normal school in normal clothes to make sure he doesnt become arrogant Ivy's transformation occured at an office job. She was an environmental consultant at a major chemical factory. Eventually a mixture of chemicals and The Green radiating off her plants gave her powers, and beyond that the constant harassment in the office, and realization that her jobs only purpose was to let them skirt by as many environmental regulations as possible made her snap I also have a few updates to Maxie Zeus. Give him a wife, his own personal hera. Their feuds lead to people dying but theyre so far into the god complex that they dont even care. Maxie will cheat, Hera finds out and kills whoever hes cheating with, and they argue as if its putting a fork in the spoon area. I also think hes part Themyscrian but that goes into a deeper situation of how i think Themyscria works with Gender As for Batfam, the only ones I have specfically in my mind right now are potentially Barbara having a pre-existing mobility issue, and the inclusion of The Phantasm into the Batfam. Aside from that its mainly just design differences ATM, things like Ivy leaning more into the hippie aesthetic (or the swamp witch one) or Scarecrow using a syringe laced pitchfork

I do! Both characters deaths had a LOT to do with 19th century homophobia. Both were shady in life dont get me wrong, but it was clear that the true meaning behind their killings was homophobia. Cyrus Gold was openly gay (or as openly as you can be in the time) and had to witness the pain of the world becoming more accepting, while he was stuck buried deep within a zombie form of himself, not even able to communicate (I think Grundy as a body has a very basic mind) meanwhile Jim was closeted into his death Jim hated Grundy, until one day in a battle with some heroes, he got knocked into Grundys body and saw Cyrus Gold in there. Jim still was closeted so pretended to hate Cyrus and Grundy, until it all came out. Now they commit crimes together and Craddock is basically his interpreter

Got a wild one you just inspired, Maxie Zeus is part Amazonian. Its not a lot, maybe a great or great great grandma was from Themyscria, but it does make him slightly Meta. The family generally kept this a secret from him, and as a result he sees any powers left over genetically as him just being Zeus incarnate

I also wanna do an AU where the heroes swap and forget any of their true rogues gallery, and most villains revel in it because nobody but their own hero knows how to deal with them, but certain ones start getting concerned as the new hero handles them even better, like Tar Pit can deal with Flash but the second Aquaman shows up he just gets Washed Away

So little update for anyone interested in my fanfics particularly, going forward anything thats more specifically about my universe (a la the origin stories ive written) will be tagged as earth 9700 just to keep em organized. I also am in the midst of writing stories about Killer Moth and Firefly, Poison Ivy and Toyman, hoping to get at least one out before pride ends because they involve queer characters. If I really start zooming, may even get one about Gentleman Ghost and/or Grundy since I think both of them struggled with homophobia but that can also be done for Halloween because yknow ANYWAYS Ive said it before but genuinely appreciate the support a lot and especially appreciate those who send asks for getting the old rusty wheels in my brain turning.

Insane post but to me, Jimmy Olson is the Jerma of DC. This weird mix of both Just A Guy and a man with the mot indescribable lore. I also think JImmy seems like the type of guy to just love Jerma, sending SIobhan clips that she doesnt get but she loves him s much that she watches every single one

who do you think would be the worst people to meet in Arkham ? Warren white did not have a good time and it seemed like actual hell for him

this feels like a copout but I think the true answer does depend on the person. Like I am personally not gonna be bothered by Mad Hatter because as gone as he is, he wouldnt likely view me as an Alice. But someone more fem presenting would absolutely be wary of him. Top three in my mind are Lock-Up, Dr Phosphorus and Amygdala Lock-Up views anyone in Arkham as actual scum and is likely to try and kill me to "clean the city of one more looney" Phosphorus is kinda obvious, hes living radiation. Could also probably kill me the fastest of most of the patients Amygdala is just pure rage. If he's properly medicated i may be fine, but theres a non zero chance I spill food near him and he tries to remove my skeleton, no reasoning with him Honorable mention is Jane Doe, for the ability to kill me and hide it.

Billy Batson views Jason Blood as a mentor. Jason figured out quickly how Shazam worked and that Billy was him. Billy once asked him if he ever accidentally transformed into Etrigan. Jason tried his best to explain that he doesnt exactly worry about saying "gone gone the form of man, rise the demon Etrigan" but Billy asked that while in queue for a fortnite game and promptly got distracted

Not quite a headcanon I’m just giving you the fact that Mr Freeze was thrown in what is essentially the forgettable nonexistence void (and he encountered Animal Man in there) until BTAS happened and he started existing again. For your implication headcanon needs

I decided to look this up and the concept of a Comic Book Limbo for obscure characters is so deeply fascinating and terrifying on an existential level

Like imagine being trapped in there, and all of a sudden a new version of you from a universe appears and saves you but like youre gonna be changed. You entered Limbo as a generic criminal using cold weapons, but you leave with a dead wife and trauma. Be thankful youre not the one leaving as weasel creature, and be damn thankful youre leaving

(Also side note I really gotta get into Animal Man more he seems very fun)
