JJ Maybank was still a kid. They all were. But JJ was the youngest. He was also one of two of them who lost their childhood.

The other being Cleo, of course.

JJ never got to experience the love of a parent like everyone else did.

He had to grow up at the age of 7. He had to defend himself from his own father during the years where almost everyone else in this room were being tucked into bed by their parents with loving kisses placed on their foreheads.

During that time, JJ was learning how to cry silently in the back corner of his room. The room that sat right above his head right now. The room he'd spent years hiding in, from Luke, from the rest of the world.

So! Here's a fic based on the idea of JJ finding his love for art again after years of locking it away due to Luke putting him down for it when he was younger.
