Support Local Theatre with an Indiegogo Campaign :)

Brelby Theatre Company is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of Brelby Theatre Company must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax‐deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Brelby Theatre Company Nurtures New Works/Artists
Brelby Theatre may be a relative newcomer to the Phoenix metro’s West Valley, but we have established ourselves as a vital member of the theatre community and an incubator for new works. Since moving into our new studio in the heart of downtown Glendale, Brelby has produced two world premiere musicals, six world premiere plays as part of our “Studio Series” and an original holiday show written by Brian and Shelby Maticic, founders of Brelby, and Luke Gomez. We are also making a name for ourselves cultivating the future of art in Arizona by providing high quality classes and workshops for all ages in a wide range of theatre disciplines. Brelby is ready and poised to take the next step as we grow, increasing production value, reaching a wider audience, providing more opportunities for working artists, and expanding our classes, but we need your help to improve the vitality of the arts in the west valley!
What we need and what you get
We need to raise $10,000 this spring to fund our spring and summer productions and classes. We hope to raise $5,000 of that from our IndieGoGo supporters, but of course more would be very helpful and appreciated.
Your donation will help further our mission of encouraging playwrights, composers, and collaborative artists to bring new works to life. Beyond new works, your donation helps provide education and training for children, teens and adults in performance, playwrighting, improv, and technical theatre and design.
To show our appreciation of your generosity, we will be offering some lovely, splendid, and amazing perks including: the warm fuzzy feeling of supporting the arts and small business, a wink and a smile, hugs, Brelby swag, free tickets, program mentions and much more!
The Impact
More than just an opportunity to perform, artists need a place to grow. Actors need experiences that push them to be better, Directors need a chance to develop their skills, and new playwrights need someone willing to take a chance on them in order to get their debut production. Brelby is a place where all that happens, and the West Valley- even the entire Phoenix metro area- needs a place where the performing arts can not just exist, but be nurtured.
Help us to keep this unique company on track to develop and showcase new works, while offering quality performances of the classics and contemporary theatre.
Other Ways you can help:
No amount is too small (or too big!), but we understand that making a donation is not possible for everyone. You can still be a huge help to us by simply spreading the word about our campaign and sharing our video on Facebook and Twitter. You can use the IndieGoGo share tools to make this easier. And check out our website to learn more about our company, members, workshops and productions: www.brelby.com . You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Thanks!
Donations accepted through Indiegogo. Any amount is appreciated.
Thank you for your support!

I covered a song from an original musical I was in back in October called "Through the Mist" with Brelby Theatre Company. This song is so beautiful and sad and I just had to cover it. This is an exclusive cover posting for only Tumblr.

Shakespeare meets the 1920's! "Love's Labour's Lost" at Brelby Theatre Company opens on March 14th! In 2 days! Don't miss the swankiest in town!
March 14-15, 20-22, 27-29 @ 7:30pm
March 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 @ 2:00pm
Join us for a 1920's inspired romp through the Bard's clever comedy. In this energetic production youthful idealism gets derailed by love. The King of Navarre and his buddies make a pact to abandon all earthly pleasures – most importantly women – in pursuit of scholarship, but they quickly realize that love doesn’t play by the rules. When the beautiful Princess of France and her three gorgeous ladies-in-waiting visit the court, each man falls head-over-heels.
The lovers are joined by a brilliantly goofy troupe of clowns, including the outrageously flamboyant Don Armado and the lust-sick rogue Costard, who passionately pursue the affections of a stunning but vacant country maid.
Will the oath hold? Or will the men succumb to the game of love?

"Love's Labour's Lost" By William Shakespeare. Love and loquacity. Passion and puns. Rhetoric and romance. The Bard takes wordplay and wit to their most impressive in this clever comedy. In this exuberant romantic comedy, youthful idealism gets derailed by love. The King of Navarre and his buddies have plans to immerse themselves in their studies swearing off less civilized pursuits — namely girls. But what they didn't anticipate was a visit from the beautiful Princess of France and her three gorgeous ladies-in-waiting. Will the oath hold? Or will the men succumb to the game of love?"
April is in Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost playing at Brelby Theatre Company in Downtown Glendale from March 14 to 29. April plays the Princess of France.
Tickets for the show can be found here. The price for the tickets ranges from $10-20.

April's Anna costume came in! She ordered her costume from SkyCostume. A link for SkyCostume is below. The costume arrived two weeks quicker than expected and is very beautiful! The picture is blurry because it was taken with an iPhone that was shaking with excitement. Still need the boots and wig. <3

Yesterday, the world premiere musical of Through the Mist closed at Brelby Theatre Company in downtown Glendale. April played the role of Aurelia, one of Valerie's catty, shallow friends on the island. This musical was written by Jamie Maletz and is one of seven of her finished musical works with an eighth already on the way.
In Jaime Maletz's world-premiere musical, a secret island set apart from the rest of humanity is home to all those gifted with magic. Though the inhabitants defeated an evil woman who once almost destroyed them, they're now dealing with a doom-filled prophecy concerning her now-grown twin children. Then there's the seemingly normal guy who somehow manages to make it Through the Mist, crashing his boat on shore. It all adds up to an intriguing musical-mystery adventure.
Through the Mist ran from October 11 to 26 with a cast of 13 talented actors with musical direction provided by Jamie Maletz, makeup design by Rebekah Dipple, sound design by Dan Cocca, and dual direction for the entire production by Brian and Shelby Maticic.

Reviews of the Show from GoldStar:
"First time at Brelby Studio.
Show was very entertaining. Very good actors and songs were very original. Small theater which meant I could not stretch my legs out.
Location was good since I live in Peoria Will return for more shows."
- Dan L.
"I was thoroughly amazed with the production and actors who were mostly students at Grand Canyon College and a few ASU ones. It was very well done, an interesting story, plus the songs did not stop the show but were an integral part of it. I liked the small, intimate setting, we were right at the stage. Plus parking right in front of the theater was a plus."
- GoldStar Member
"Surprisingly good for local theater. Loved the lead actress."
- GoldStar Member
An original cast recording was done for this production and will be available to pre-order at Brelby.com within the coming weeks. The cd will run at a price of $10 with a DVD of the production costing $15. Remember Brittani Hom? Our intern in "Be My Baby?" She participated in the 29th edition of Dances Made to Order. Every month, the viewers choose the theme for three artists to create a dance film for. The artists get three weeks to complete their film. Viewers support the artists by donating $6.50 to see all three submissions for that month. It's convenient and you can watch the films from the comfort of your own home.
Brittani's film was done in collaboration with Jasmine Stack. Their film is entitled 7:18 and the official description reads as follows:
Two fates brought together by inextricable force. One, a spirit loosening itself of the flesh, the other, a machine not responsible for destruction.
Above is a trailer for all three pieces and Brittani's is the last shown in the preview.
