Jack claims to be a lone wolf, but he still tried so hard to stop you from making that deal with Azul. Even if he was hard-pressed to admit he cared, he still helped. He protected you during Leona's overblot. He cares.

Ruggie and you didn't have the best first meeting, but you can always count on him for a recipe and a shoulder to cry on. He's an only child, but he was one of the older kids in the slums where he grew up. He's a good listener, and has really good life advice.

Leona is a jackass, but he's surprisingly soft-hearted at his core. He let you stay with him during the Octavinelle Debacle, and he doesn't let the assholes in his dorm mess with you. You may be a herbivore, but you're a herbivore under his protection. You are not to be messed with. He'll tease you, but he'll also let you nap with him, and let you braid his hair, and even though he'll kick your ass in Magishift/Spelldrive, he'll give you a piggyback ride to the dorm after for a water break.

Ace is kind. For all that he's annoying, and kinda selfish, he really cares. He'll hide it behind taunts, but he cares so much.

Deuce is more naive than one would expect, but he makes up for it with his commitments to what he believes in and his strength of will.

Cater seems 2-dimensional at first, but then you realize all the little things. He knows when you're having a bad day, and even if he doesn't acknowledge it, he'll try to make things just that little bit better for you. He passes on an old phone of his - a really new model - on the excuse that "it didn't fit his aesthetic" but you know he just wanted to get it for you.

Trey is the big brother archetype to a t, but that's not all. You see it in how he knows things, and won't call them out, but makes the changes anyway. You see it in how he followed Riddle, though misguided, because he was his friend.

Riddle, after his overblot, is getting better. The scars won't go away, but it's fine. He's trying. He takes you with him to the Equestrian Club every now and then. You can always come to Heartslabyul, and if it's after curfew - well, he'll just look the other way.
