Whumptober Prompt Two
Prompt Two - In the hands of the enemy
Izuku knocked on the door. He put his free hand in his hoodie pocket and clung to his bag with the other. He was... stressed, but also eager at the same time.
The door was opened by a man, when he saw Izuku he seemed startled. “I-Izuku? What are you doing here?”
“Well, I was around and wanted to meet you - I’m sorry if this was inappropriate,” he floundered, “just showing up at your house unannounced. Um...”
Felix couldn't help but chuckle. This child was adorable. It reminded him a lot of Gregory. He smiled, "No need to worry, please come in."
He opened the door and let his nephew in. This was his normal house, not the one that had his work stuff. Or his other work stuff.
"How have you been?" He asked, heading to the kitchen to get a glass of water for the kid.
"Can we uh talk,” Izuku glanced around, “I know you don't want to talk about my father..." he said slowly.
Felix stopped pouring. He contemplated not responding. "What do you want to know about my brother?" he replied.
"Um, how would you describe him...?" He asked, trailing off at the end.
Felix stared at the kid’s face, pitying the child for not having his father around.
He decided to be honest, but forgo some information about the other, darker, part of Jame’s life. "Well, he's,” he paused, thinking, “...cold."
Felix handed Izuku the glass of water, the boy looking up at his uncle, an unreadable expression on his face. “He's always been cold. He puts his job above everything else... sometimes even family,” he sighed. “He prioritized things in ways nobody else could understand. It made sense to him, the things he did.”
“Why was he never around?” Izuku asked, sipping water.
“At some point in his life he was faced with an impossible decision,” Felix sighed, “He chose to be selfish.” He didn’t blame his brother for acting the way he did. After all, James was a Slytherin, it was just the way they were, ambitious. Plus James embodied the sin of greed, it was no surprise he ended up choosing the selfish path in life.
“What was it?”
“Hm?”
“The impossible decision?”
“I can’t tell you that.” Izuku seemed disappointed. “It’s confidential.” He clarified. “Ministry business.”
“But you seem to know!? Why would he tell you but not me? His own son…”
Felix sighed. “Izuku, if you need a family, I can be there for you.” He had the strange urge to call Izuku ‘son’. “But James made his decision and the more time passes, the harder it is for him to reach out.”
“Oh,” Izuku put his glass down onto the table, “thanks for telling me anyway.”
“You’re welcome.”
He picked up his bag and headed back towards the door. “I think I should go now.” He paused at the threshold, “bye, uncle.”
Felix gave him a sad smile, “goodbye.”

Whumptober Prompt One
Prompt One - Let’s Hang out sometime
Trigger warning: panic, non consensual flirting
“Hey Inko, we should hang out sometime,” the Gryffindor suggested, “you know, just you and me. Alone.” He loomed over the petite Ravenclaw, his friends surrounding them.
Her eyes darted around as she wrung her hands. . "Uh- Enji-" She stepped backwards and bumped into the wall and looked up at him.
She didn't feel safe, or comfortable, "I d-don't see you that way-" She told the older boy. His face twisted into an unpleasant expression as he stared down at her, making her feel even smaller than she was.
He was so close that she had to put her hands on his chest to stop him from coming closer. She pushed back hesitantly, reluctant to start a conflict. "Enji I, I said no- l-leave me alone-"
"Come on now- you're seriously not choosing some Slytherin over me?~" He asked, leaning closer, her arm muscles no match for his own. “I thought Ravenclaws were supposed to be smart."
"I-I don't have to explain myself to you." She replied, trying to move out of the tight spot. His arm blocked her and she made a small noise, more scared than she’d been in her entire life. Moisture gathered in her eyes.
They were alone in the hallway, empty despite it not being class time. No one would pass them. Panic rose in the back of her mind, clogging her throat with its heavy presence. "E-Enji let me go, I have class now-" She lied. She was desperate to get out of this.
“Give me a chance, Inko,” he pleaded. He leaned in closer and she felt a whisper of his breath on her face. Her eyes widened, it was too much.
“I said no, Todoroki!” She snapped, “why won’t you listen?” She shoved him back, adrenaline and his surprise at her outburst being enough to push him away. She ducked under his arm and ran off, tears falling to the floor.

Extract 1.0
Have some fanfiction I started but never quite got around to finishing-
Lying on his new bed, Todoroki Shouto groaned. Everyone he knew before the incident always asked him the same question. One he never really learnt how to answer. “Why?” Eventually, he had found the answer. Of course he wasn’t going to tell Them. He had to lie. Why would They have the right to know?
He didn’t want to think about Them for now, he just wanted to be alone with his thoughts and thoughts of Them would disrupt his alone time. So he lay on the white uncomfortable bed, relaxing, closing his eyes and connecting his fingers. He found it soothing. It was a way he helped himself relax.
The silence was short-lived as a voice came through the speaker at the corner of his new room. “Todoroki Shouto, you shall be expecting a visitor in 5 minutes.” and he winced. His eyes opened a bit and he found himself staring at the ceiling again. He’d been here only a month and already he was starting to hate that voice in the speaker.
He quickly sat up tho. They had the decency not to install security cameras in his room, he should at least have the decency to at least greet his guests in a proper manner. He couldn’t make tea for them, nor could he serve them anything. He sighed as he stood up and tugged on his sleeves.
The light next to the door flashed and a beep was heard. Then the door slipped open to reveal a woman. One of the few in the establishment which hadn’t fallen for him. “Doctor [l/n].” Todoroki greeted. “Please come in and make yourself confortable.” He pulled back a chair.
The doctor greeted him with a “Good morning Todoroki. How are you today?” and entered the room. As soon as she did a beep was heard and the door slammed shut. She sat down in the chair Todoroki had pulled for her and he sat directly in front.
"I’m increadibly sorry for not being able to offer you tea.“ Todoroki excused himself and [y/n] glanced at the kitchen that was included in the white room and sighed. She had tried to get them to let him make tea but they wouldn’t hear any of it. They refused all attempt at making his life a bit more bearable.
"Lets skip all the formalities, do you know why I am here?” She asked and Todoroki sighed, it was clear both didn’t want to talk about it yet they both had to.
"Yes. You want to ask me questions, but I’m afraid I must refuse.“ He said and [y/n] sighed. He had always been stubborn, never slipping up, exept, this time, [y/n] was confident. Why? Because the last session they had together proved to be successful, she believed she had the key to cracking his code.
[y/n] took a bag out of the pockets of her pants. Todoroki wasn’t expecting her to bring anything. "What I am holding here is a bag of sweets.” She explained and Todoroki’s eyes widened as he eyed the bag. “You answer my questions, and it’s all yours.” She put the bag down.
Todoroki’s mouth slightly opened as he contemplated. “No.” He finally replied, much to the young woman’s surprise.
"No?“ She repeated, nudging the bag closer to him.
He eyed it, not daring to move his hands. "No.” He confirmed then took a quick breath as [y/n] guessed this wasn’t his final word. “If we are going to come to an agreement, it has to be on my terms, not yours. Since I know you are an intelligent woman I won’t waste time making an outrageous demand and get straight to the point. Those candies, and my powers for the time I am under your supervision, in exchange for my answers.”
[y/n]’s mouth twitched as it was her turn to either accept or decline the proposal. “I’m afraid I can’t do it, not that I wouldn’t, I can’t.” She said.
Todoroki slammed his fist onto the table. Gently not to frighten her but he still did it as he wanted her full attention. “Stop giving me that bullshit doctor.” [y/n] jumped. For all the time she had known him he hadn’t sworn once. “Next to your badge you have a key. But not a normal key, no, the one for these handcuffs. Yet you deny it. Tell me [l/n]. Are you scared of me?”
The girl was taken aback at this question. Was she scared of him? No. It wasn’t that. Did she trust him? Now that may be the real problem. But could you blame her?
Todoroki wondered if he had went too far. He leaned back in his chair and observed the girl before him. She was pretty, but not exactly his type. Her [e/c] eyes shone well with her [h/c] hair, which was tied in a ponytail. He had yet to see her with her hair down.
After a moment of silence [y/n] unfroze and said “I hope what goes on in this room stays in this room.” And Todoroki slightly smiled. He didn’t often do it so it was a soft moment that seemed to last forever.
He nodded as he laid his arms down onto the table. The girl took the key and gently twisted it in the locks on the bracelets Shouto had hidden under his black sleeves. They had a tiny display that shone 4 bars of blue. As she twisted the bars lowered to 3 and eventually to two. She then moved on to the other.
Todoroki was disappointed to see he still had the anti-quirk bracelets. But he had to admit he was pleasantly surprised when he saw it was toned down to two. Once [y/n] had finished partly disabling his other handcuff he leaned back again and asked “What do you want to know?”
[y/n] sighed of relief. He had finally cracked. She looked away and wondered what she could ask him. From the corner of her eyes she saw him plop a piece of peppermint in his mouth.
She chuckled then laughed. Todoroki raised an eyebrow. She quickly regained her composure and he still glared. “I’m standing face to face with the peppermint murderer and I can ask any question I want… Yet my mind goes blank.”
[y/n] could tell Todoroki didn’t know how to react. Finally he asked “Is that really how they call me?” He still didn’t know how to react. The fact [y/n] was smiling wasn’t making this any easier.
"Oh believe me Frostburn. You haven’t heard the worst.“ [y/n] chuckled and Todoroki realised she was both teasing and joking so he decided to play along and relaxed as he leaned forward. He glared at her still expecting an explanation on the ‘peppermint murderer’. "Whenever witnesses are left behind they all reported the murderer to have a sweet sort of peppermint breath. That and the fact your hair is half-red half-white also I believe it was a childhood nickname?”
"Yes. One I would much rather forget. Me and Bakugo weren’t exactly friends.“ He admitted. Then he frowned at [y/n] again. "Peppermint breath???”
"You know, rumour has it, that whoever smells that breath dies a very messy and horrible death.“ She added and Todoroki leaned up close and whispered. "Do you believe that detective?” He was so [y/n] could actually fell his breath. They weren’t lying. It was sweet and pepperminty.
"I may be a murderer and a villain but I do not kill without reason Doctor. I would not kill a witness just for the fact they lived. I wouldn’t hunt them down. As long as I get the job done and they leave me alone, then so do I.“ He explained and added "Unless the job specifically says no witness. Then I would make their death nice and quick.”
There was an uncomfortable silence. “Would you like some tea?” Todoroki then asked the girl, now that he was able to heat water to make some.
"If it wouldn’t be too much of a pain?“ She replied and smiled as Todoroki stood up and made his way towards the tiny kitchen he had been provided with. He started preparing it.
A good question popped into her mind. "If you could do it all again, would you?” [y/n] asked and Todoroki pondered a moment.
"What will you tell the police?“ He asked and she quickly responded "Only what they need to know.” She replied and her smile widened as she saw Todoroki used his left side to create a flame for the kettle. He was obviously surprised he could do it.
"And you won’t judge me?“ He extinguished the flame and leaned against the white counter while looking at [y/n]. She started to fear the wort but her smile didn’t waver. "No.”
"Then I have to confess I would do it all again.“ He replied. [y/n] did not know what she had expected but it was not that. She didn’t mean to flinch but she did. Todoroki saw and he sighed. "M-may I ask why?” [y/n] asked, mentally cursing at herself for stuttering.
"I regret some things. Yet if I were to do it all again, I would. Regret is experience. I would rather live with pain then ignorance, bliss and a touch of insanity.“ He admitted while looking at the steaming water. He heard scribbles and turned his head to identify the noise. He found [y/n] writing in her notebook.
"I thought what happens in this room stays in this room?” He asked curiously as he tried to see what she wrote, all while pouring them tea.
"Sorry not sorry.“ She responded and smiled up at him. "Thank you.” She mouthed while taking the cup. “That was just such a brilliant quote I had to write it down.” She explained.
"The 'regret is experience’ thing?“ He asked sitting down again and sipping on his tea. She looked at him and saw him wince and take a sugar cube out of the bag put it into his cup and stirred.
"Yeah. I wasn’t expecting something that deep.” She said and stared at her drink. She brought her lips towards the cup and Todoroki exclaimed “Be careful it’s hot!”
She smiled gratefully at the young man and blew on the drink gently, then tasting it. Her eyes lit up and she wondered if they really wanted to make his life that miserable. Then again, he couldn’t have used it so it could just be a sign that they wanted to bully or torture him.
"If I may ask.“ [y/n] started and Todoroki raised an eyebrow, basically saying 'go on’, while eating a peice of candy cane. "Why?” She asked and he froze. He looked away. And said nothing.
"May I ask you something first?“ Todoroki asked. [y/n] guessed that the question she asked might have been a bit uncomfortable for him so she nodded. "Sure.” and sipped some tea.
"Of all the nicknames people have given me over the years, which one was the most creative in your opinion?“ He asked and she guessed he wanted to lighten the atmosphere before diving into the serious stuff.
"The most creative?” She asked and he nodded. “The Candy Cane Crime King.” She decided and Todoroki nodded approvingly at the nickname all the while enjoying his piece of hardened white and red sugar. “Otherwise there was 'Le Tuer en Sucrerie’ that Lucie Dupont called you during our interview.”
"You interv-“ He stopped himself when he realised it. Of course she would have interviewed Lucie. After all, [y/n] was the prime investigator on all Todoroki Shouto cases. She would have asked Lucie questions.
He sighed. "Before I answer your question… I must say. Your quirk. Are you allowed to use it in here?” The detective nodded. “Good, good. I would hate to talk a lot for no reason whatsoever.” The girl readied herself.
"It all started at the battle of Kitsume..“ He started but a beep was heard. He glared murderously at the door, the origin of the beep. The speaker boomed "Doctor [l/n], you only have 5 minutes left.”
Todoroki sighed then smiled at [y/n]. “I will be looking forward to next week.” He placed his hand on the table and she understood. She took her key out and reset the anti-quirk bracelets.
"Likewise.“ She smiled back and packed some of her stuff back. Such as her pen and paper and she made sure she had her keys, her badge and anything that could be used by Todoroki. Then she headed towards the door, ready to leave the convict.
"But, I will be expecting another bag tomorrow.” He added and she shook her head disapprovingly, yet a smile refused to leave her face. The beep came again and the door opened. “Farewell Todoroki.” She said one last time as she left the room.
"Farewell [l/n].“ He answered as the door shut. They both sighed but both knew this was not the end, on contrary, this was the beginning. Knowing she couldn’t wait a week, [y/n], meanwhile was going to interview every pro hero that was at the battle of Kitsume first. Well… The ones that were still alive that is. She had known that event was linked to Frostburn but until now she had no proof. Todoroki was just relieved he would be able to get a weight off his shoulders without having to be worried about the police.
