DND IN SPAAAAACE

So i'm going to be joining a DND campaign soon set in space, not spelljammer, but a homebrewed setting with the scifi layered in on top of the magic and the fantasy. Here's the Character Pitch

I'm going to be playing Nova, the Emerald Dragonborn, she was raised on a mining planet that was placed under economic lockdown, so she had to learn to steal to feed herself and her family for a while, hence the Rogue class, and I'm thinking of going like Swashbuckler with an emphasis on Pistols, Sniper Rifles and Possibly a whip for melee if we can buff them up a bit

She was smuggled off the world by a Captain and during that trip was found to be a prodigy, talented in just about any vehicle she got to the controls of.

She's charismatic, kinda grumpy sometimes, wicked fast on her feet. She's a thief with a heart of Gold and can't stand to see people suffering if she can help.

She's going to be a kind of mix of Robin Hood, Jack Sparrow, Han Solo and Hando Onaka. She has a special loathing for the Unity and joined the Once and Only as a way to repay her dept for what the captain and his rebel team did for her family, way back in the day. She can't stand owing people I think the alignment system is bullshit but if I'd had to pick i'd say she's Chaotic Good so yeah with my character i really wanted to subvert the typical rogue archetypes we tend to see in fantasy if that makes any sense at all

I am really hoping to get her commissioned before the campaign starts as i love the idea of this scifi/cowgirl dragonborn

DND Character Concept

I got a new character concept that i really really want to try out so badly im picturing a character who is one of the few whos returned from the feywild, hair streaked red and and blonde, the tatters of a fine dress hanging about her, when shes found nobody notices the slim ring fall off her hand.

i'm struggling with specifics, but the general idea is Character who left the feywild to protect her wife, embroiled in politics and fae war that's brewing so she couldn't be used as leverage against her -she may or may not be a Queen, i'm leaning more towards a Dutchess of a one of the Courts, or, that is, married to them. Not one herself? I worry i'm not making any sense with this

Encanto is seen!

i have watched the entirety of Encanto and let me tell you as an older sibling, I feel personally attacked. I have THOUGHTS about this movie and I kinda adore the characters and the problem is as a basic ass white bitch I know this movie isn’t for me. What can I do to make sure I'm engaging with the content and the intended culture respectfully, both with authorial intent(fanfic) and in general just talking about it in general. If there’s anyone in the Latino or Hispanic communities on this site that can give me some food for thought I'm honestly eager to learn
