Bro we finally got to see Lilith’s card and we don’t even get to see her face come ONNN.

Viv you already spoiled so much regarding the show, might as well show off Lilith, like…why is she keeping her in the shadows so much? Also I would say it’s too early but I think this card is borderline proof that she’s a villain, they’re making it so obvious lol like there is no reason why we’re going THIS long without seeing or knowing anything about her while Lucifer gets all the attention and is going to be painted in a more sympathetic light.

It legit pisses me off cause in the pilot they indicate Charlie actually had a close relationship with her mom considering she was the one who got called by her daughter for advice, but from what we’ve seen Charlie’s going to be interacting with her dad in the show a lot while Lilith will probably get no more than a brief mention or a cameo. Viv is keeping her in the shadows for a reason, she’s 100% a villain and ngl I’m starting to believe the “Lilith separated with Lucifer because he wasn’t evil anymore”- allegation.

And again, I wouldn’t have a problem with Lilith being a villain had we not known that Viv is aiming for Lucifer to be “not that bad he’s just uwu goofy” and sympathetic. It’s once again biased/favoritism writing and I really don’t want another Stolas and Stella situation. Obviously this is mostly speculation and guesses, I’ll wait and see till the show comes out but I am 100% expecting more misogynistic and biased writing.

The new Mammon and Fizz episode has been released and I wanna put my two cents in.

The palette is oooof........ One of the most "hard to watch" HB episodes. Seriously, hasn't anyone told Vivzie that her colour choices are just utterly failed?

Mammon was simply annoying and cringe, especially considering he's one of the highest "demons". He curses every few seconds, has an Australian accent and is some kind of a rock star(because......because). Oh yeah, he's also a very bad guy, cuz he disrespects women! Also I find it funny that Vivzie said in one of her tweets that she apologizes the fans wouldn't like him, as he's "fat and ugly". In reality, he's just a typical Vivziepop-ish male character, having sharp teeth and eyes without pupils. And his "fatness" is just looking like a Christmas tree with a round body.

Overdetailed backgrounds and sloppy animation, as always. Some moments look reeeeeally stiff. Maybe Vivzie starts drawing easier backgrounds and make characters with less details so the animation was better and faster to produce? Just dreaming.......

The songs are just generic tasteless pop-stuff. Gosh, I just wish they have a better composer cuz it's tiring to hear these cheap pop tunes every time. Maybe get some real rock or something with synthesizer........ I don't know.....

The background characters in this episode look much less like some early Deviantart furry OCs or cosplay freaks, which is a real plus. Take some cuties:

I really like the left amphibia girl, she's so pretty. Also yeah, bg characters really look better than in previous episodes. Almost like they were drawn by someone who actually knows their job well and doesn't make every person look like different art style or different teenager's OC.

Fizz being tired to be a clown for entertainment, having panic attacks, dealing with crazy fans and a shitty boss was honestly a good idea but the final song was just too weak to handle it. If it was done better, it would be really good.

The sigh language kid is cute and it was interesting to see a disabled person being cheered and supported by another disabled person.

Oh wow Viv made another female characters whose entire personality is being bitchy and arrogant(even to each other, though they're sisters they're calling each other whore, bitch etc.). Can't wait for the fanbase to hate these two or lust for them in the worst way possible.

Though there were actually some beautiful and......esthetic frames.

Am I the only one who never understood why Fizzarolli is considered a sex icon in this show? Like, yeah, Mammon said that he'll exploit his "clown employee" in every way possible and it's all for money, but I still don't get the whole "having tons of sex dolls based on him" thing. Who in sanity would buy a sex doll of Fizz? He looks like a stick with limbs and painted face, which is somehow considered sexy by Vivzie or her fans? Wouldn't it be more logical for a woman to be a sex icon? Lots of real women, including teen idols, were sexualized and fetishized for media by their producers and shown as beauty icons. But I just couldn't imagine the same with males. Like, I'm sorry, but to me Fizz who's a circus performer, celebrity and a sex icon is in the same category as Angel Dust who's a porn star, stripper and prostitute at the same time.

I'm very glad there wasn't much Blitzo.

It's funny that this girl looks like a better design for Loona than Loona herself, lmao.

It's actually a progress to see that Vivzie didn't fetishize a romantic relationship between two men and actually showed them as a loving couple which doesn't talk about sex and cocks every five seconds. She actually has put some unexpected effort in it.

You know as a former member of Vivziepop's cult and yes its a cult not a fandom anymore I am disgusted by a majority of the people in it.

Like someone on the subreddit brought up it being kinda tasteless or fucked that they sold sexy Stella merch in bdsm gear when she's abused Stolas physically. The post was deleted quickly and judging by my experiences in the fandom people were stanning Viv or harassing OP and that has got me thinking.

Why is Stella in bdsm gear? Like Stolas and Blitzo are canonically into it yet you give the abuser that...

Like isn't a bit fucked that instead of choosing the canonical practicioners in your show you choose to put someone who uses pain not to pleasure but to slowly break and hurt someone.

We know Vivziepop has a merch rep so how did that get into production?

I also find it fucked that Vivziepop and crew are attempting to tackle an issue as serious as domestic abuse and do it so poorly by writing Stolas and Stella as bickering children next we see them. Then the staff has the utter gawl to sell merch in general of Stella and the fans buying it up.

Like I understand autograph signings slightly but that's the only merch Stella should have.

Vivziepop's cult loves to claim that they utterly depise Stella and deserves to suffer because she's an abuser so how dare people want nuance or not just a generically evil cartoon villain but the moment she is drawn in a sexy way they start throwing money at that.

Like I just want to know how these people if their friends ask about the character on the pin will explain "Oh this is Stella who's a sexy domestic abuser"

Then again am I surprised when Vivziepop makes merch of a rapist and most of the crew have some weird fascination with Valentino and not in the way that he's their best written villain way more like they are simping over him.

I think a lot of fandoms, especially nowadays, have a lot of genuinely bad people who really need help/therapy but see nothing wrong in what they do or just keep doing that, though they know it ain't okay. That's so frustrating when you can't feel comfortable even in an Internet community. But Viv's "fandom"(I mean exactly these two shows, although Zoophobia also had......not very pleasant people) is surely something........Where'd you find so many blatantly oblivious and blind brown nosers which keep pretending everything's good when there's already tons of red flags from Vivienne? Yeah, that's a rare case. I don't wanna interact with this fandom or even talk about it, tbh. I still watch the show cuz it's fun to see how it manages to be worse with every episode, though sometimes I don't make reviews as many other people do it faster and better and I just have nothing to say(I need to take my jaw from the floor). Regarding Stella - well, I don't know on what principles Viv or her team makes merch with the characters, but aren't all characters being sexualized anyway? They even have merch with Chaz, a guy who, like, died in the same episode. And they keep doing new merch with this jerk. And that's obviously because there are people who simp for him. I don't know if Stella's merch may be an insult to those who practice BDSM, I'm not into it, tbh, and I don't take these things seriously, but I find this just a bland sexualisation. Well, it's "sexy merch", but yeah, Stella's all character is based on being a mean aggressive yelling bitch, and this thing.......it must be a character trait, I guess? Or just a sweet treat for rule34 artists, like most of the stuff Viv does. Again, I don't take all of this seriously, this sexy merch was made to tease and please the simping fans, but there's certainly a part of irony in it. Like, people in this fandom hate Stella so much that they shit on people who simply want her to be a more complex character, and they're........still buying all this stuff. They........enjoy Stella being "hot dommy mommy" and still keep hating her? Ngl, only Viv's fanbase can do that, lol. I've seen this fandom from the start and I can say that many people here always had some weird obsession with Valentino. I even remember some person passive aggressively telling me that "he's just very charismatic and it's your problems if you can't see it". When there were, like........A musical clip and a comic where he just was being an abusive jerk. Yeah, that's a really weird fascination. Also, doesn't one of HH's crew, who is an animator or a director(don't remember correctly), has a rape fetish and has drawn an animatic on their beloved ship Angel/Val? Hella ironic that a show about serious portrayal of trauma and abuse has a crew member(or members) which legit.......find it hot or cute. That's sick af but I guess Viv doesn't care who she hires. Oh, that's definitely not a pit I would like to fall in. I'm not sure there's any hope on Hazbin portraying trauma or mental illnesses properly, but I'll still watch it anyway. Whenever it comes out....

Couldn't find the last three, but that's.......something. Like, this woman really hoped that a real studio would pick up THIS. Messy doodles and the most shitty and unserious description of characters and their dynamics I've ever seen. This "pitch" just looks like she didn't care if anyone would pick up that. And everything wasn't promising from the start. It just sounds like every other old "adult show" with edginess to the max. Just the art looks very Tumblerish, and it shows that it wouldn't be picked up anyway.

This..is a pitch? I'm not gonna lie it looks like a child made it. The art is inconsistent and I don't use this word too often because it's really overused, but it's honestly cringey. I honestly don't know any studio that would pick this up aside from Netflix. While Netflix does have iconic cartoons, they also have really shitty ones that have the same type of humor and Helluva Boss really falls into the latter.

You can send me more leaks if you want. These leaks seem rather old though besides the concept art of Andre. There's not really much to comment on regarding the Episode 8 gif, as well as the Val-Vox ship picture. I actually think I saw that one a long time ago.

As for Andre? I think people would like his design better if he does show his train feathers within the show at some point.

Ok......So, the new HB episode is out, how unexpected for me. I apologize to my fellow readers for not reviewing the previous episode, but I was so tired and busy, having to deal with a lot of work. The cat must have got my tongue when I saw the dildo scene, I'm sorry. And what can I say......Actually, this episode is the best one in the 2 season at this moment. I mean, at least it wasn't that cringe and plot ruining as the other ones.

The animation looks pretty good in action scenes(and not so good in other, especially when some characters speak). The backgrounds look good, and I somewhat like the fact that the Sloth Ring is pink. Looks so sweet, bubblegum and cotton candy-like. But the floating pieces of ground are very cliche for a fantasy world. Also I think there were too many sound effects, when sometimes it feels like there's a lack of them. In principle, everything is as always. Stolas is a damsel in distress again, Moxxie and Millie are boring, Stella is evil(and extremely stupid for some reason), Blitzo is loud and annoying and spits cuss words every second because the authors think it's funny. Also Loona just...... didn't speak in this ep at all. No words. Don't know if it's good or not. The plotline of her going to doctor and being afraid of shots is pretty boring, tbh. I still have no idea why hellhounds are treated like some pets in this universe when they're competent and sensible beings. Also, I don't know if anyone told that or this is just me, but I absolutely hate the idea of putting fucking westerns in "Hell". I know Vivzie isn't so original and her universe is super bland and uninteresting, but shit, westerns just don't stick in the setting of Hell at all, it's not that vibe and it looks ridiculous. And that's not because I don't like westerns. Striker's song felt absolutely redundant, and Striker himself seems....unnatural? Seems like Vivzie made him that masculine bigot guy who's bigheaded and is obsessed with having a huge cock(because dicks are funny according to the writers). They have finally showed Andrealphus, Stella's brother, and there's nothing interesting about him to say. I'm just glad they didn't make him a stereotypical gay. Knowing Vivzie's "rep" and how feminine he looks, it would be predictable. As I've said before, he looks like a shameless Elsa ripoff, as his blue ice castle(covered with red fucking sky, god, these palette choices burn out my eyes). I've heard some controversial and suspicious stuff considering him and Stella(more precisely, someone says that originally they were going to have incestuous relationship). Not sure if it's true, and I do hope that Vivzie won't go so far in making Stella an unredeemable villain.

I didn't see anything "weird" or vulgar in their conversation, it felt like puerility. I like to imagine that their relationship is like a niminy-piminy brother always cheering up and complimenting his little sis because he can. I've seen some cartoons with a similar character dynamic and a certain part of their fandoms found indecent connotation in this, and that's their problems in their depravity. And yeah, I know that my thoughts aren't true and they obviously have a manipulative relationship. Andre straight up insulted Stella and manipulated her, btw. If Viv really wanna do them having incest - fine, another reason to quit watching this show. But something tells me that she won't dare to lose a bunch of fans and be yet again cancelled in social networks.

Summing up, this episode was pretty good by the standards of the season and bad by the standards of..... something qualitative I guess? Viv still hasn't learned how to separate drama from comedy, which makes it difficult, no, impossible to feel Stolas' sad shit. This character is one of my personal winners in the list of the most repulsive and annoying creatures and him always being sex crazed about Blitzo pisses me off. How the hell are we supposed to take him seriously if all he wants is a dick? The rest of the time he whines about how unhappy he is and pretends to care about his daughter. Season 2 continues to look like terrible Wattpad fanfiction and it discourages from watching this series. It's not even fun to hate or criticize it anymore, it's just......Ehh.

(TW: Rape mention) Honestly, I remember being one of those people who’d go “I just don’t get the Helluva Boss critics. The show doesn’t look promising but not bad either. So what’s the deal” and then I watched episode three, the one with the rape scene played for laughs..and I just couldn’t stomach it.

Suddenly, people complaining about there being too many pinks is less upsetting to me than the people who will call Verosika a “hot mommy dom”. Thank you for being critical of the series, even if I wish more people would talk about that disgusting part of the show. I’m just glad there are some people willing to talk about this.

I've never lived through abuse or rape(and I'm really sorry for the people who experienced that), but these moments in HB have always been too disturbing even for me. The show which tries to be dramatic MUST NOT show such harmful topics as something funny. It's actually one of the most odious things for me in this show. At first it makes jokes about characters being hurt physically or mentally, but in the other scenes it may be shown as something tear-inducing. Like when Blitzo literally stalks his employees, insults Moxxie and threatens him with rape, Vivzie shows it as a joke for the viewers. But when Valentino abuses Angel, it apparently must be sad. Or when Loona lives in that orphanage and nobody wants to adopt her, it must be sad although she abuses her dad for no valid reasons. I just hate this hypocrisy. That's probably why this series always left me in a very repressed mood. I watch a lot of trashy psychedelic cartoons with an imperturbable face, because they're often so unserious and have poor quality, but Helluva Boss still goes hard to me with its handling of serious topics. I don't even know how "good" Hazbin will be considering it's tightly tied with many mirthless subjects.

I find it so disappointing that people automatically assume that Vivienne Medrano is a professional because she went to art school, or SVA to be exact. During her time there, her sketchbooks were generally praised for being so full of motion and for the speed in which she could work, and she could create assignment animations with the help of other students, but there was always something limited in her abilities. The truth is, not everyone who A. can draw and B. goes to art school is necessarily cut out for a career in animation. Vivienne had real trouble being rejected from studios because she’s never been able to master the overall basics of a career in that field. Her portfolio is full of busy, repetitive and difficult character design, mis-balanced colour theory and flawed anatomical sense. I suppose what I’m saying is that art school is fun and provides the right focus to the people who have the right skill set. But, people like Vivienne… they just get lucky thanks to the Internet. Thank goodness for her that A24 were interested enough to give Hazbin Hotel a chance, thanks to the cobbled-together pilot. One can only hope that people who do have actual skill have been brought in to work on it (and write for it), to save Vivienne from future embarrassment.

Wow, I even have nothing to add. Brilliantly said. I'll just publish it here so everyone could see that. This is basically all I can say about Vivzie as an artist. Talented, but limited.

I've already seen this thread and......Yeah, Viv's workers don't like her at all for sure lmao-

So, it comes out that the leaks we got several months ago were true....And Adam(HH angel guy) was true as well. I was quite sure in that because his design is so Vivziepopish, you know. One colour that is smeared all over the character, eyes without pupils, simple but overdetailed look, thin limbs. He looks so stereotypically angelic with this long robe, wings, halo and golden colour, but at the same time not. Why do angels have horns and why does he have sharp teeth? Why is he a rock star(isn't rock Satan's music, lol)? I don't know. But his design is just rough-and-ready. No effort. That's just a total ass, I'm sorry.

Continuing about the leaks, there are also dozens of dialogue pages and I've barely digested them. I have no idea who wrote that disaster, maybe it's Vivzie herself, anyway these third-rate writers shouldn't, just SHOULD NOT touch the script. Those are just identical lines with filthy language everywhere, incredibly flat "jokes" and overall strange words? Idk, this just seems unnatural. And the worst is that you couldn't understand who says what. All characters in HH are from absolutely different time periods, yet still sound the same and curse a lot. Hell, even Alastor uses foul language though he's supposed to be so rinky-dink. Also, I saw a leak with 3 pieces of storyboards for 6 and 12 episodes of Helluva Boss and I have nothing to say about it. I mean, I knew that this series is gonna be a soppy melodrama with Stolas pity party. This is just super predictable. I think I'm losing interest in these two shows.

By the way, seems like the exterminator angels' names refer to female genitalia. Yes, all exterminator angels are women for some reason. And they have names like Clitorissa, Labyanne, Pusscilla etc. Congratulations, Viv, that's a peak of humour.

Tbh I think not everyone who finished art school is a good artist. Like you will have a title like "character designer" or sth. But a lot of people who never went to art school have better desiging art skills than Vivzie. So her being an art major and finishing art school doesn't really mean anything imo

That's a good point, anon. I think Viv's main problem is that she can't get out of her "comfort zone"(which is pretty bad for an artist). It's when you don't want to draw something more varied. The thing is, Vivzie likes slim characters, so she draws everyone with slim figure. She likes long eyelashes, chokers, suits, bow ties, so many her characters have these details. Also, I remember Vivzie say that she finds muscular bodies disgusting (it was on some stream). Well....Yeah. She doesn't have much practice with drawing diverse body types or diverse faces, simply because she doesn't want to. This problem is clearly seen in her comic "Zoophobia"(I will talk about this comic later btw). Just look at this picture:

These werewolves have the same face, body type, hair, even the same shorts, lol. I think, to improve yourself as an artist, you just need to force yourself to draw more diverse things and shapes, otherwise your work will look dry and shallow, and your audience will get bored sooner or later.

So, that's Lucifer redesign? I honestly don't see any changes despite, maybe, golden snake and crown in his hat(which seem to be absolutely unnecessary). When Vivzie tries to show her characters "hot" they just look cringy. Especially considering a lot of her male characters are slim guys with inverted triangle figure and the same smile to the ears. Like a stick with legs and arms, lol. Sometimes I think that every her character is a shameless bait. And yeah, this picture is kinda eye-sore with all these reds, blacks and yellows. Also his throne looks like a black seraphim. Maybe Vivzie will dive into Bible and all. No wonder if she makes him a fallen seraphim or something like that. Very cliche, but what else to expect? I've seen that leak where it was stated that he's a kind and dreamy man who rules a bad place. It doesn't make any sense, lol, if he's so nice, he would actually make his place good and lawful, he's the main fucking ruler in this universe. Frankly, I'm not nervous about how Vivzie portrays him. Will he really gonna be a goofy doofus or a serious guy everyone else respects. I'm more nervous about Andrealphus and maybe other mythological demons she wants to mock. And hell, someone tell Vivzie that the "Devil" stuff is about Satan. I'm glad she knows they're different, but she just turns everything else upside down.

Hey guys, anybody knows where did Helluva-bust go? I enjoyed their posts, but seems like their blog just disappeared. I also remember blondbrainrot, a woman who really liked Stolas(the actual one from mythology) and talked about being his apprentice or something like that. And there was one person(demonologist) whom I liked, but I can't even remember their name. I just noticed their vanishing, and I fear I won't find them again. Pretty sad:(
