So psyched to finally share my piece for the @ninjago-zine-of-elements ! I had the honor of drawing Maya and Ray, Kai and Nya’s parents! I wanted to draw them younger, as though in their early days as elemental masters. (Let’s all pretend Ray shaved his mustache lol) I am pretty proud of this one and hope you enjoy!

I did a Six Fanarts challenge! This was a delight to do, with character suggestions coming from friends of mine. (Thank you @padbaeamidalaskywalker for the suggestion for Alligator Loki!)
This was a great challenge to do to get back into drawing after some time not doing art, and I had fun with it from start to finish. Even the extra touch of adding their little signatures. I’m happy with the variety I have here, I hope you like it too!

Oh to be a Polly Pocket living in this little pink room
I made my first 3D model! Obviously not super perfect but I love it to bits all the same! I am so excited to start learning a new medium, I think this will open so many amazing doors for my artistic growth. Tutorial by 3D Greenhorn on youtube, the first blender tutorial that actually made me feel like I could finish something!

Procreate tells me I spent nearly 20 hours on this commission and I wouldn’t have it any other way! A friend of mine commissioned art of her party, and it was an honor to get to know these characters and bring them to life!
My other friend said it looks like a Saturday Morning Cartoon, and she’s right. I’d watch this show

Pokemon fanart was how I started taking art seriously over a decade ago; and Ash’s journey is coming to a close is extremely bittersweet. I’m an adult who has been drawing for what feels like forever, but it still kinda feels like the training wheels are coming off.
The me who started off copying drawings from the Pokedex book at the library would be amazed at what I can do now! Thank you to the many people who have worked on the Pokemon Anime for this journey. And thank you for a character whose fierce determination and relentless optimism has inspired so many.

I am taking a break from some bigger projects- by making Cookie Run Kingdom fanart I guess?!
Last year the little Cotton, Sherbet and Frost Queen story made me CRY (Did you know a video game about cookies can make you cry? I DIDN’T) so I swear if they don’t let them reunite this year I’m gonna be so sad.

Week 4 of @art ‘s Build-a-Beast Challenge! (Template for this week Here!)
This week we are asked to conjure up some costumes. I went over what Rosalind wears most every day. She’s a creature of habit, not one for much change. She likes to dress elegantly, but comfortably. The most out-there thing she wears is the rose brooch, which was given to her so long ago. But old treasures simply get more precious with time. When did she get it? Who is it from? What does it do?
Good luck to everyone finishing up this challenge! Can’t believe October is nearly over- I look forward to so much cool art from all of you!

I fancied up the portrait a bit, as a treat, for me personally. I think it’s lovely!
Tumblr media
Is it that time already? @art ‘s Build-A-Beast challenge continues and this week’s prompt is to Fashion your Familiar! Build-A-Beast is an ongoing October art challenge here on Tumblr, and all the templates can be found on @art
Did you know Blue Jays are in the Corvid Family just like Ravens and Crows? That’s fabulous for me because I really wanted a bird (I resisted hard the temptation to make a cat) but a crow or raven felt too easy. Plus doesn’t a colorful familiar just tickle one’s fancy just a bit?
Mr. Blue Jay here doesn’t have a name, but suggestions are very welcome. He helps Rosalind make deliveries in exchange for trinkets, snacks and access to the library. He avoids Rosalind’s granddaughter, as she constantly asks questions and wants to take a ride on his back (as if he’s big enough to do that?!) He’s quite young, a bit serious, but takes pride in a job well done.
Cannot wait to see everyone’s creations this week! Good luck!

Build-a-Beast Week 2 by @art is underway! This week’s challenge is to Lay out a Lair!
(Just to recap, Build-A-Beast is a challenge where you are given weekly prompts to follow to design a monster or creature during October)
Come, behold the terrifying library lair in Rosalind’s home. Tremble in fear at the shelf full of literature, the couch where plans are made to avoid neighbors, and the terrifying corner where Rosalid’s granddaughter never seems to pick up her toys no matter how many times she is asked! 👻 😨
Anyway, this was a daunting perspective to try, but I enjoyed the challenge! I look forward to all the terrifying lairs to be seen this week!
(P.S. Rosalind’s daughter and granddaughter don’t have names as of yet, so suggestions are more than welcome!)
See you next week for more spooky fun
