Today I have acquired a new blorbo. It is, of course, a wretched little man with a somewhat twisted sense of honour. I put him in my blorbo basket and carried him home. Tomorrow I shall display him on the mantel when my friend comes for tea.

Grand Theft Hamlet is a great movie, by the way, or at least it filled a need I didn't know existed. It's a documentary where a lot of actors in lockdown try to stage Hamlet in Grand Theft Auto Online, getting other people to read various parts, picking places to perform, scheduling rehearsals, picking up some regular people who watch them rehearse, and all the while dodging every other player in the game shooting at them with rockets. It's great.

One thing that especially worked for me, though, was the ghost. This is the first time I really felt it when Horatio begs Hamlet not to follow the ghost. Inside GTA Online, the ghost is in all black except for a ski mask with LED lights in a smiley face, standing on a blimp that Hamlet has to jump down onto from a balcony. Don't follow him, Hamlet!

“Hey,” Bucky calls from the kitchen, watching your head tilt just a little. You’re at your laptop, working out metrics and ratios and making the suitable adjustments to it as you see fit.

You’ve been doing that for the last three hours and Bucky figures you need a break.

“Doll,” he’s closer now, but you only look up when you feel his hand in your hair. Bucky’s fingers scratch your scalp as you give him a tired smile.

“How about a break?”

Your smile slips a little, “I’m nearly finished baby. Maybe another hour.”

Bucky shakes his head, you spot your mug in his metal hand and reach for it. Bucky pulls away only a little.

“Take a break. You keep rubbing your eyes and adjusting your lenses, you need a break.”

You narrow your eyes at him. Bucky gets this no nonsense tone about him sometimes and it makes you melt, just not when you’ve so much work to do.

He won’t be deterred though he waits patiently for your answer.

“My eyes are sensitive and I’m really almost finished, Bucky. Just give me an hour, two at most.”

You turn to your laptop as another thought hits you, fingers flying across your keyboard. Bucky’s hand falls from your hair and his grip is firm but gentle as he turns you back to him.

With his fingers holding onto your chin, you’re made to take in the intensity of his baby blues. You’re done for when he bends at the waist a little and leans close to you so you’re nearly nose to nose.

“Doll, I’m serious. Take a break and you can get your tea and maybe a head massage.”

“That’s mean, Bucky. Only a ‘maybe’?” Your voice softens and Bucky has to fight hard to keep a smile from his face. Your lips fall into a pout so adorable Bucky can’t help but lean in to kiss you.

“If you can listen, it’ll be a sure thing with a soak in the tub.”

It only takes you another fifteen seconds to save your work and shut your laptop.

“Good girl,” Bucky knows that’s overkill, but he relishes in the way you sigh and let your head fall back a bit into his hand. You accept the mug with grateful hands, taking a sip and falling into his touch even more.

“Want to go fill the tub?” You shake your head, eyes shut as you continue drinking your tea. Bucky’s content to stand behind you the whole evening with one hand in your hair and the other squeezing at the nape of your neck till you’re ready for your soak in the tub.
