Dick Grayson and His Cop Job

This isn't a fic, but this sort of like a rant? It's just something I've been seeing lately that has been upsetting me(not actually upsetting just annoying) where people say Duke hated Dick because he was a cop or that all his siblings trash on him because of his job as a cop. Dick wasn't a cop for the fun of it. He was a cop to try and reform the police force because he wanted to make it better. He was undercover. It was not an actual job. Not to mention, the person who wrote his arc as a police officer was Devin Grayson, who put him a position as a police officer when this was the SAME comic where he was written as Romani(albeit stereotypically). It was cop propaganda. Plus, the comic was written almost 20 years ago. Not only did Duke not even exist as a concept then, but Damian didn't either. Jason was still dead then since Devin wrote the comic in 2002, and Jason didn’t come back as Red Hood till 2005.

If you're going to make Duke hate Dick(which I'll dive deeper on in a moment), make him hate Dick for the fact the guy left him on a building(when Dick knew he had a fear of heights) and had him arrested. He knew Duke had a fear of heights and deliberately took him to a tall building so he couldn't get away. I feel like this was sort of crappy writing on Dicks part(since i feel like he would never do that), but at the same time it sort of does make sense because the reason he got Duke arrested was to keep Duke safe(even if he did it in a very wrong way.) Dick was very fond of Duke, and while Duke understood that Dick did what hw did, he had EVERY RIGHT to be pissed at the man who he considered an idol. Dick literally created Robin. Duke and his friends have every right to be mad at him since the man they looked up to(with the whole We Are Robin stuff) HAD THEM ARRESTED. The thing is, I think Duke and Dick could get along really well with how similar their characters are, but nobody ever has them interact. Duke either a) doesn't exist to them or b) they say Duke hates Dick and throws him off to the side. I'm just sort of sick of it because it sort of reminds me of the 'Jason is the mean Robin' or 'Tim is the genius Robin' stuff. I really want to see more interactions between the two in fics and whatnot. I want to see Dick apologize for what he did and see the two interact and get close. This is another reason I hate WFA. If you like it, that's fine. I just can't stand all the mischaracteriztion, especially of Duke. They make him seem shy and timid when that is the EXACT OPPOSITE OF HIS ACTUAL CHARACTER! Duke is not shy! He is loud and does not let people boss him around!

This is one of the reasons I can't stand most of the batfamily fandom. They mischaracterize everyone and stereotype them. They don't include the deep dynamics that they all have and instead water them down. I would love to write some Duke and Dick stuff, but I feel like I wouldn't do Duke justice since I don't know him that well as a character. I'd rather just leave him for someone who actually knows the depths of his character rather than take him, water him down, and just toss him into the Batfamily as a 'shy, timid new guy'.

Many Faces

Heyy!! This fic is short, but it's mainly centered around Chad. Troy and Ryan are mentioned a lot as they are also involved in the story, and Gabriella is mentioned once I think. :)

Chad Danforth was many things. He was a member of the baseball team, the basketball team, and track and field. He was an A-B honor roll student. He was a son. He was an older brother. He was Troy Boltons best friend. He was a hoops guy.

Apparently, he was also gay. At first, he had denied it. Everyone else had, so why not? Every time he talked about his disdain for the 'female mind', most people just brushed it off as the typical teenage boy who believed girls had cooties. But he had cared a lot more than Taylor did when they had made it their mission to separate Troy and Gabriella. He would never admit it, though. Liking guys was wrong. Viewing them the way he would view a girl was wrong.

Despite the fact Chad knew it was wrong, he wouldn't have minded going against what was right if it meant doing it with Troy. That thought shattered like glass once Gabriella came into Troy's view.

Then came in Ryan. Ryan Evans, with his short blonde hair and sky blue eyes. His lithe figure in those white clothes as he sang to Chad from across the baseball field, trying to convince Chad to dance, and in more than one way.

After that, Chad and Ryan became close. They were closer than Chad had ever been with anyone. They had gone further than Chad had ever gone with anyone. And it didn't scare Chad like he thought it would. He didn’t feel the need to flaunt how masculine he was to prove to himself and others that he didn't like guys like he usually did. Chad Danforth was many things, and being proud and gay was one of them.

Heyy, I'm back!! Sorry I went missing for so long 😭 anyways, I'm gonna try and be more consistent with my fics bc I've got a bunch of ideas. My problem is I just suck at making long stories and putting it into words is sort of hard. I've got a story in the making rn that I'll post probably or the next day. My current obsession is HSM, specifically Chad, so pretty much all the fics will be centered around him. If you have any requests, just send them to me and I'll see if I can do it :)

Sharing A Hat

This is the first fic I'm gonna post here :) it's about Chad and Ryan from High School Musical, set specifically in the second movie. It's not really there, but if you read it as a ship, that's fine. I ship it, although this is more so them first talking and sort of the beginning of a possible friendship. It's really bland and there's not much plot, but I tried my best, so I hope yall enjoy it :)

The hot New Mexico sun beat down on Lava Springs, radiating in waves. Everyone was in a miserable mood due to the heat. All of the teens just wanted to go home and sit in front of their fans, but if they wanted to keep their jobs, they would have to deal with it.

Chad seemed to be the most miserable out of the bunch. He had tied his curls back into a tiny ponytail, which helped a bit. It would be nice if he had a hat, but Fulton didn't allow it since it wouldn't seem 'professional'. Sweat dripped down his skin under his Lava Springs uniform, causing him to be horribly uncomfortable, especially since he was out caddying.

He and Troy had been picked to caddy for Sharpay and Ryan, along with their parents. Normally, being with Troy would've made being in the heat a bit bearable, but Sharpay had snatched him away, leaving him with Ryan, Darby, and Vance. Great. He followed behind the trio of blondes, feeling horribly out of place, especially since they seemed to ignore him.

He opted to just zone out until he was needed, trailing behind them with the bag of clubs on his back. Chad didn't know if one of the three was staring at him or if he was just paranoid, but he didn't dare to look. It just so happened that he wasn't paranoid since when he glanced over, Ryan was eyeing him. "Are you enjoying working here?" Ryan spoke to Chad while his mother took a turn swinging, a smile on his lips. Chad had never spoken to Ryan before. The boy always hung out with Sharpay, following behind her like a shadow. Chad always thought the two were fairly similar, just Ryan being the quieter of the two, so he always steered clear. Because of this, he found it weird for Ryan to be talking to him. Then again, if he was gonna be caddying for the guy all summer, he might as well try to get along with him.

"It's nice," Chad mumbled. "This heat is killing me, though." Chad sighed heavily, adjusting the heavy bag that hung off his shoulder. Ryan chuckled. "Yeah, I can tell. You look miserable." Chad huffed, rolling his eyes. "You can say that again." Darby and Vance began walking, so the two boys followed behind.

Ryan tugged off his hat, which was an orange newsboy cap, and stuck it on Chad's head. "There ya go." Chad didn't know what to say. He was shocked. Sharpay would never help someone like that. "Uh...thanks, but Fulton'll get on me for wearing a hat." Chad mumbled, his hand reaching to take it off, but Ryan stopped him, lightly moving his hand away and fixing the hat to sit so it covered his eyes. "If Fulton has a problem, I'll tell him I gave it to you. Trust me, he won't care after that."

Chad could feel himself become warm, and he prayed that it didn't show on his face. Ryan was...oddly nice. Sharpay would have never done that for someone...huh. Well, then again, Sharpay could be nice when she wanted. "...Thanks." Chad mumbled. Ryan glanced at him before smiling. "No problem."

hi everybody!! I made this account so that I could write stories about fandoms I'm in because ao3 doesn't have what I want and I hate to use AI. So, I'm gonna be writing stuff here :)
