alexithymia sucks because it’s like I barely feel emotions that aren’t boredom so when I do I’m genuinely surprised
It does happen, I’m a passionate person and very hotheaded, but it seems my three settings are “bored” “furious” and “fascinated” and that’s it
even worse is when people tell you to describe yourself like “does this fit you?” man I forgot about that

To add onto that last ask abt voting, while I think destroying the system would be beneficial, they're forgetting that there's going to be horrible people participating in the system regardless of our participation and voting for the GOP. How can you destroy a system when a significant chunk of the population is going to enthusiastically participate in it regardless? It's not like Conservative bigots won't vote.
Bruh. Do you know what would happen if you were to destroy the system?
Millions and millions of people will die, starting with the most marginalized and the most vulnerable.
Do you know why? Because the power vacuum left behind by a collapsed government will not stay unoccupied. It will rapidly be filled by whoever is the biggest, nastiest, bloodthirstiest bully on the block.
Why do you think Project 2025 is all about destroying the system? Because the system, again, is the only thing preventing the alt-right from going on an ethnic cleansing spree, killing everyone who doesn't fit their vision of a white ethno-nation.
You will not herald in a golden age of equity by destroying a system that has working checks and balances. You will get a lifetime of stress and living from moment to harrowing moment. You will have to sacrifice getting to be who you are in exchange for becoming a machine for survival.
Anarchy is a beautiful dream, because it's a dream that'll do whatever you want in your mind. It is Intriguing. It is New. It is Different. It looks like a fresh start, a blank canvas...but the error lies in assuming you'll get ANY SAY in how that canvas will get painted. Life is not something we get to shape like that, because it's not something we can control no matter how we organize ourselves. All we can do is figure out how we want to co-habit and co-operate within the ecosystem of all things.
There will always be "bad people" participating in the system, yes, but that's because "bad people" is a construct—bad is a thing we made it up. What's bad in one worldview is good in another. Not only that, everyone is capable of being bad and good, regardless of the morals and values they hold, system or no system.
Additionally, those same bigots who participate in the system now? They will GLADLY participate in a non-system.
Hell, they've got fucking plans for it.

people need to understand that individualism and collectivism are both things with merits and flaws if I hear one more person say “fuck individualism” or “fuck collectivism” or something along those lines I am going to start committing violence

Crazy that you had to omit it because of people like that. Understandable on your part, just very disturbing that people think that way.
If you’d actually listen to trans men, you’d know every single one of us has said “transandrophobia is a mix of misogyny and transphobia”. We’ve been saying it from the start. We are fully aware it involves misogyny!!!
It’s medical misogyny and medical sexism, it’s social misogyny and sexism, etc etc.
But that’s not all!
Transandrophobia also involves how much society hates it when afab people act masculine. Butch women deal with this all the time. Little kids labeled as tomboys deal with it. Society really hates masculine afab people.
But wait, there’s more!
Transandrophobia ALSO involves how much society hates men who are men in the “wrong way”.
And one more thing!
Transandrophobia ALSO involves homophobia, because whether the trans man is straight or not, society views him as a woman. That means he’s treated as either a lesbian (though some trans men do identify as lesbians), or a straight woman, either way erasing his true identity.
And all of that is transandrophobia.
It’s not just transphobia. It’s not just misogyny. It’s not just those things separately. It is an interaction of those things that cause transmasc people to be uniquely abused by society - and a lot of that abuse is invisible, or shoved under “just misogyny” or “just transphobia”. But it’s not.
And - importantly - it does not imply that transmascs are “more oppressed” that other trans people, or that other trans people “oppress” trans men. That’s not how intersectionality works.

I hate that people get boring real quick like once I’m done with a hyperfixation that’s it I’m done with you unless you either manage to hook me on a new one or catch my eye again
Some people have kept up with me for years and it’s wildly impressive they’ve managed to considering I drop people on a dime

Correct me if I’m wrong, but shouldn’t misandry be added in there as well, especially if the trans man in question passes as cis? Like if his birth certificate registers an M there and/or he looks like a cis guy.
Or do you think that’s not applicable to all trans men unlike what you mentioned, because some trans men don’t necessarily pass as men?

I’m glad I don’t feel grief anymore
I had terrible survivor’s guilt after watching my brother die as a kid
The awkward thing though is when someone asks me how I feel about someone’s death. How am I supposed to tell them I don’t feel anything? I usually deflect it to “I’m just wondering whether (whoever is closest to the deceased) is okay.”

If you genuinely, truly, absolutely, cannot bring yourself to vote for the president of the united states, please just show up for elections anyway and vote for your congresspeople and local representatives.
Please.
Just.
If you cannot bring yourself to vote for the president because he's so disgusting of a candidate you morally cannot bring yourself to cross that line, then PLEASE vote for your congresspeople and local representatives who can block, defend, or present new bills, actions, acts, etc.
These are the people who can actually confirm or deny or impede horrendous acts when they happen.
Like. This is the bare minimum. If you cannot vote for the President, please just still vote for someone.
Change doesn't happen if you don't vote for the people willing to enact change.

Why do people think it’s a bad thing that people are inherently selfish
Literally a relationship is just an exchange of resources, because everyone wants something in it for them—and do you know why? Because people are literally just trying to survive and make their lives as comfortable as possible
Selfishness can go too far, anything can. I mean. Look at most of the corporation owning billionaires. That’s a case of it going too far. But selfishness isn’t inherently evil. Everyone’s just trying to make their lives better.
