something's hiding in the dark

i rewatched some mlp infection au's this week and had this brilliant idea of taking one interest and combining it with another (i know, i'm genius) and started cooking up a dc/batman infection au. do you see the vision?????

it is nowhere near done yet, i've barely even started, but i wanted to draw something to spread my agenda. i wish i could have made this a little creepier but man, drawing is hard... practice makes perfect though and i like drawing horror so you might actually see more of this au! me and the (?) other dc infection au fans cheered

but like what if none of the Robins ever fully got over not being Robin anymore and it makes them highly effective but burnt out adult vigilantes because they’re always chasing a different world where it’s just them and Batman, partner and partner, forever? and even if/when Bruce treats them with respect and as full heroes in their own right, they lash out at him without realizing. because he took that world away from them. that simplicity. he gave them Robin and he took it away, maybe not on purpose. but.

went a few days ago and the ENTIRE place gasped. heard a lot of disappointed “ouuuu 😧” as well. i loved the reaction but was more focused on keeping myself from sobbing too loudly LMAO

this is so not original but thinking about every showing of hadestown. someone always gasps when orpheus turns around. this story has been told for centuries and we still have hope despite.
