After 17 Years, Our Very Final Audiodrama Production To Appear On The 'Cornucopia Radio' Website Is Online Today:
"The Gilded Imagination"
Tumblr media
Our new #audiodrama is online right now, and it’s a very special one as it’s going to be the very final production to ever appear on the Cornucopia Radio website:
Cornucopia-Radio.co.uk/gilded-imagination
Starring amazing Cornucopia regular performers: Hannah Lloyd, Pip Mason and Andrew Biss
Journey into your own imagination; as the very headphones you listen to this story on will make a direct physical connection to your limbic system. Allowing one of our highly trained visualization therapists to talk to you directly and help you imagine the story you’ve wanted to tell for so long. Even though you feel you’ve lost your creativity, and this is no longer a tale you have within you.
‘The Gilded Imagination’ is the final production to be produced by Peter Beeston and Cornucopia Radio before he moves onto other projects. However all the work created over the past 17 years will remain available to listen to via our website and the different podcast feeds, and nothing will be removed in the future. Let me know if you've enjoyed any of our previous productions in the past.
This brand new production (which mixes audio asmr roleplay and action soundscapes) is a personal journey that is meant to be a conclusion for ‘Cornucopia Radio’. It’s all about the mindset of a person (who might actually be Peter Beeston) who creates stories like this. Suggesting that all these productions might come from another reality beyond ours...

We have a new collection of #audiodrama work that has gone live on our website today, and has also been added to our main ‘Cornucopia Radio’ podcast feed and is streaming on our #spokenword #internetradio station!
http://www.cornucopia-radio.co.uk/alisdairadams
Two very good friends Mary and Jean are visiting Sheffield Cathedral, listening to the church organ music, viewing the medieval art and enjoying their sandwiches. But what is Jean going on about? Illuminati Ham? Vajazzling? King Tutankamun’s Chiropodist? They’re soon joined by two other ladies and the conversation gets even stranger, including a story about a tragic accident involving triangular chocolate.
It’s just another crazy day in the middle of the steel city, as you join us for our very funny, one-off audiodrama sitcom. Starring four amazing comedic actresses; Janice Sampson, Gayle Hazelby, Sarah Betts and Mandy Sims. With the script written by the very talented Alisdair Adams. You’ll notice lots of references to different things in #Sheffield if you live or have lived here.
There are also two other new productions on this page (‘The Light Within’ & 'Natalie and Jen') also written by Alisdair Adams, which I’ll be promoting later this week.
Leave us a comment if you’ve listened, we’d love to know if you enjoyed the story and characters.

The Call Out - AudioBook ~ AudioDrama

He’d been at "Fast Kill" for six years, and had already learnt so much about pest eradication. Including making plans, setting traps, laying bait and establishing kill zones. So he was confident in quitting to start his own pest control company under the name “Rapid Kill Solutions”.

"The Call Out" is a new horror audiobook for 2023. So get ready for a skin-crawling tale about those little bugs behind our walls and under our floorboards. Who will win in the battle between pest and eradicator?

What are you own recommendations for Halloween media at the moment? What horror films, music, stories or podcasts do you enjoy at this time of year as the nights draw in?
Here’s a video I’ve just recorded of a pop up book I own of Poe’s “The Raven” I adore an intricately designed piece of papercraft, and this is a great one to have on my desk in October.

On a pitch black night. On a storm swept road a few miles out of town. Torrential rain had soaked him to the skin in seconds. But he had never been so grateful of a passing lift in his whole life. He opened the passenger car door and got in, and slowly the truth was revealed...
http://www.cornucopia-radio.co.uk/short-video-fiction
“Old Ground” is our brand new #shortstory #flashfiction audio/video piece for #Halloween2023 about a mysterious meeting on an empty road.
I really like the original #graphicnovel artwork I’ve created for the video visuals and the tone/style I’ve directed the work with. I got a #CliveBarker #Hellraiser feel when I first read this story from Gareth and I’ve used this initial feeling in the final work.
As ever, do leave a comment with you own thoughts. I love the way we can all have our own ideas about a story and what it means; and no differing interpretation is ever wrong
Old Ground Written By Gareth Brownbill Performed By Idiom (Nick Anderson) Music: Dark Depression by Ashot Danielyan - Via a Creative Commons License Video and Audio Edited By Peter Beeston
This work is part of our 2023 #Halloween collection

Are you looking for creative inspiration? A way to turn an empty page into a story for the ages? Then you’ll need to connect with your own “Muse”, but that creature of beauty and horror will need much more from you. Are you prepared to give it?
“The Muse” is a brand new #AudioBook for 2023 written by the brilliant Christopher Lee Scoville and voiced acted by the amazingly talented Justine Leah Hince.
This is the first of our new ‘Cornucopia Radio’ collection of #Halloween #Horror themed #FlashFiction pieces to be released this month. Tales to unnerve, get under your skin and leave a mark! We’ve got more to come over the next few weeks, so keep an eye on this page.
You can download this video, the mp3 version or subscribe to the podcast to get these pieces automatically via our website: http://www.cornucopia-radio.co.uk/short-video-fiction
Also let us know what you thought of this production and the story. I know how hard Christopher and Justine worked to bring it to you, and they would love to read your comments.

Don't Let Your Mind Wander - AudioDrama
Tumblr media
The first episode of the new Vanishment anthology #audiodrama #audiofiction podcast is now available via our own website:
http://cornucopia-radio.co.uk/wander
It’s a new beautifully haunting story about an astronaut communicating back home & hearing a voice that is reassuringly familiar yet cannot possibly be real.
Written by Richard H Brooks. With Music by Dayn Leonardson
I (Peter Beeston) did the editing and sound design. I’d love you to listen and tell me what you think. I’ve tried to create a unique feeling and tone with the sound design; whose point of view is this story being told from and what’s real and what isn’t? Give me your thoughts.
And if you ever need an editor/mixer for your own fiction productions, do get in touch and I can give you quote.

“Keep Digging” Wins 2023 Grand Jury Prize!
Tumblr media
Wow! My #RadioArt submission for this year's international '60 Secondes Radio' festival won the $1000 grand prize via a jury vote today! It was a great batch of people from around the around who submitted work this year, and I’m so humbled that my little idea was so appreciated. Thanks so much to Matt McAteer for helping me create this work by recording the dialogue I had written. https://www.60secondesradio.com/winners-laureats2023?fbclid=IwAR0K1FQ1zN_safWCUqV-SRgPdofamsnP8mfAiu2GThNHUA7DPu-2mpEdKDo
