“Please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please?” Bruce whined softly, making sure to push his bottom lip out in an irresistible pout as he clung onto Oliver’s arm. “With a cherry on top?”
“B… you seriously don’t know how disconcerting it is to see you pout in full Batman getup.” Oliver sighed, running his free hand through his hair.
“It wouldn’t be if you would just agree to take my monitor duty. I promise I’ll make it worth your while.” Bruce huffed, sliding off his chair and onto Oliver’s lap with practiced ease. “Cmon, Green Arrow. Save me from a boring Watchtower shift so I can go to Robin’s art exhibition.”
“… sex or one of your homemade desserts?”
“You can pick.”
Oliver tilted his head and tossed the idea around in his head, his hands absentmindedly squeezing Bruce’s hips, enjoying the pressure of the man on top of him.
“Okay, fine.” Oliver relented. It was almost worth it seeing the subtle shift in Bruce’s expression. It was basically the equivalent of him lighting up and grinning at him.
The things he does for love. If he has to suffer through another monitor duty? So be it.
“Yess! Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Bruce chirped happily, wrapping his arms around Oliver’s neck and hugging him tight. Oliver briefly flashes back to all the moments Bruce has done this exact thing before and can’t help but imagine the cute face he must be making underneath his mask.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m your savior. It’s what heroes do.” Oliver rolled his eyes good-naturedly as Bruce climbed off his lap. “Alright, get going or I'll change my mind,” Oliver said.
“Wait, give me some sugar.” Oliver tugged on Bruce’s cape, making the other man lean down as they exchanged a few soft kisses. “Fuck… I'd better be getting more of this later.” Oliver muttered as Bruce gently tugged on the short hairs at the bottom of his neck.
“For you? Definitely. Come over for dinner, the kids wanna see you. And stay after, of course.”
“You know I wouldn’t miss that for the world.”
“Good.” Bruce pressed one last lingering kiss to Oliver’s lips before slipping out of the room as if he were never there in the first place.
Oliver let out a pleased sigh and relaxed in his chair, looking up only to catch the League with their jaws dropped open.
“What?”
The Justice League blinked, looking at Green Arrow with utter disbelief.
“Seriously, what?”

-The voice of a thousand hidden angels (Part 2)
Harley's note: I literally love him and Todoroki more than I love myself.

When having to experience years of doubt from your peers to the point where it harms you both physically and mentally, what else can you do when you develop selective mutism?
@cosmic-sause | @roseytheangel
"Hitoshi, honey, what's wrong?" Riuko began with a look of motherly concern. "You haven't talked to me since you came home from kinder..." She sat on the edge of his Eraserhead themed bed, the only limited edition one since Eraserhead is an underground hero, and looked down at her son with a frown. Hitoshi shifted and buried his head into his pillow. "It's nothing, mama... Just tired." Hitoshi responded, his voice muffled by the plush cloth of the pillow. "Will you at least come down to eat?" Hitoshi stayed quiet. Didn't even bother to look up at her. Riuko sighed and turned off the light on her way out. Hitoshi didn't come down for dinner. He wasn't hungery, he claimed. He ended up falling asleep early which wasn't unusual for him.
The next week was unbearable. Sickening even. Half the class refused to speak to Hitoshi, scared that he'll use his quirk on them. The rest of the juvenile toddlers decided that he'll never be a hero with a useless quirk like brainwashing. 'It's not even flashy or cool', a kid once noted. Being as young as them and not knowing any better, Hitoshi started to believe them. You'll often catch him coloring alone in the corner with a pitiful expression or muttering something to himself with a cat plush being hugged to his chest. He didn't choose to be alone. He didn't want to be alone. Either you have a quirk, or you don't. No one truly wins. Hitoshi will occasionally answer questions from the teachers, but he's only vocal at home where no one else can hear him but his mom. "How was your day, Hitoshi?" Riuko calmly asked her son. He glanced at her with a small smile before looking back down at his homework. "It was fine mom... Thanks."
Three years later, he's in third grade. He's made a temporary friend, though he'll soon realize that he's better off alone. He didn't tell anyone else about his quirk to avoid the same bullying. It worked for a while. Unfortunately, a new kid transferred to his class who just so happened to be Kunji Yutama from kindergarten. The urge to give up is tempting but Hitoshi knows better than that. He wants to be a hero like All Might and Eraserhead. But the question is...
Can he really be a hero with a none eye-catching quirk?

ok but like… lately I've been obsessed with the idea of Clark just being so in love with Bruce it's borderline embarrassing?? like. Clark who's literally the sun incarnate, the hope of humanity, the golden retriever in a man's body—just turning into a complete wet cat when it comes to Bruce Wayne, Not even Batman. Bruce.
like yeah sure, he respects Batman blah blah strategic genius blah blah Gotham, but BRUCE? Bruce with the dark circles and the trauma and the "I'm fine" lies and the way he drinks coffee like it personally wronged him? Clark's like. Yes, I want to give him everything. I want to fold his laundry and kiss his forehead and rub his back until he admits he's tired.
and Bruce? he HATES how much he likes it. he's like "this is undignified" while literally leaning into the touch, melting, snarling, telling Clark "you're too much" while his heartbeat's hammering like a trapped bird.
Anyway, I just think it would be really neat if Bruce was constantly trying to keep his cool while Clark's being all affectionate and flirty and genuinely, devastatingly soft with him, like: "don’t look at me like that" Bruce mumbles, glaring at his coffee, and Clark's like "like what?" already smiling, already ruining him.
idk, i just think love should be terrifying and holy and a little annoying when it comes to both of them, that's all 😝.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-The hidden voice of a thousand angels (Part 1)
Tumblr media
-Harley's note: *sigh* must he be such a pretty boy? T-T
When having to experience years of doubt from your peers to the point where it harms you both physically and mentally, what else can you do when you develop selective mutism?
Hitoshi Shinso, six years old, manifesting his quirk. It was confusing and subtle when he asked his mom, Riuko Shinso, if she liked his drawing, to which she positively said yes. Her face went pale and her eyes went wide and blank after she answered. After Hitoshi unknowingly used his new quirk on his mother. He thought she was playing with him at first. But when she stood still, leaving the sink running and filling with water, he started to worry. "M-mom...?" He called out nervously, afraid to tug on her arm as if she'd break. He didn't know how to control minds then so she didn't reply. Her breaths shallow. He hugged her tightly and the impact made her regain consciousness. She reassured young Hitoshi she was okay, but he refused to leave her side afterwards.
Harley's note: No, Riuko is not the name of Hitoshi's mom. It wasn't explained in the show or manga so I improvised.
The next day, Riuko took him to the clinic where it was confirmed that Hitoshi indeed developed a quirk. Young Hitoshi didn't know what to expect when he woke up that morning, but he definitely didn't expect that. "A... Quirk?" He looked up at his mother with uncertainty. "Yes, Baby. Having a quirk is A good thing, don't worry" Riuko reassured him with a gentle smile. "What's my quirk?" "The doctor said that it's too early to determine right now since it doesn't seem to be an emitter quirk, but we'll find out tomorrow, okay?" Hitoshi nodded. Sweet, silent, and simple. Riuko smiled back at him as they walked home. "You must be excited to tell your friends at kinder, huh?" Hitoshi nodded again in response. "I bet they'll be proud of you, Hitoshi!" She encouraged him. He had a hard time believing her though. His class was filled with brats and in unbehaved toddlers.
Hitoshi ended up yelling his class about his quirk a week later when he was certain about his quirks abilities. "So... My quirk is brainwashing which allows me to control people's minds." The teachers applaued, proud of their student for gaining a quirk. His classmates either looked at him like he was crazy or took a hesitant step back. "Your kidding... Right?" A kid spoke up? "Controlling minds is a power in only the movies!" "How does it work?" A girl asked, shy but calm. "Uh, I can activate my quirk when someone verbally responds to me." Hitoshi nervously explained. "No one is gonna ever want to talk to you, Shinso! Your lame!" The stereotypical class leader, Kunji, shouted. "He's right, I guess... Your quirk is useless if no one wants to talk to you." The girl added. Hitoshi froze with an underlying urge to dissapear. The teachers had their backs turned to the situation while helping a kid who was crying out of fear towards Hitoshi's quirk. He stayed silent for the rest of the day. Didn't even tell his mom when she picked him up. He played in his bed and hoped the next day would be better.
It wasn't.

Alfred: Well, you can spend the rest of the day being bitter about this—
Bruce: Agreed.
