So, playing D&D tonight, we ran into a section of the Cult of the Dragon, and said cult is our Paladin's sworn enemy and not a group my Ranger would likely get along with. Long story short, we slautered everyone except the leader, interrogated him, dumped flammable oil on him, and then our sorcerer cast fire bolt on him, inside a building...

Pulled out a great line; scene is set as my 5'11 masc Autumn Eladrin Elf hogtying said section leader and searching his pockets. Once they're finished, they stand up and look down on him saying, "you're going to make a wonderful funeral pyre." before they walk out.

So, a little talk about Baldur's Gate 3. A little spoiler warning for the Dark Urge storyline.

I have 2 different Dark Urge runs atm, one good and rejecting the Urge, the other evil and mostly accepting the Urge (there's some exception to his rules, mostly because I don't feel like slautering the entirety of the Tieflings from act 1 or Isobel from act 2 as they are pretty vital for later in the story).

Anyways, I've created a little headcanon story for them that they're (half) brothers, and worked together to lead Bhaal's armies/congregations as his Chosens because Omiros (my good run, the Tiefling Paladin) is better at persuading people to follow their father and enact murderous plots/violence while Torrin (my "evil" run, the Dragonborn Ranger) is better at hunting and tracking down victims.

This then translates over after they lose their memories as they still work well together, while maybe not seeing eye-to-eye, but finding common ground in a lot of their morals and ideas. They do still get into arguments as they are brothers, but for the most part they get along.

I also headcanon Torrin as Orin's "twin". More they were born around the same time and Bhaal has a nasty sense of humor while Omiros is younger than them (his name is still ironic if you read a previous post of mine this one).

Torrin was created far before Baldur's Gate 3 came out. His original character idea had a completely different name at first but I changed it once I actually started playing with people who know how to play D&D. His original character arc was that he was a child soldier who discovered he was one of many children taken from families and placed in a training program to keep up the number of soldiers/guards for the city. Once he was let in on it he got pissed, killed his General that he saw as a father figure originally, and ran. He was actually a very sweet and quiet character but I saw potential in how his story could have twisted him the other way so, yeah....

My Baldur's Gate 3 Dark Urge (good run) Tiefling Oath of Vengeance Paladin has me in a choke hold right now.

His name is Omiros, the Greek name that is the origin for the name Homer. Which there's a bit of debate on whether it means "pledge" or "captive" but I thought both would work for a Paladin who's backstory is basically that he's unknowingly tricked into becoming a Paladin by maybe Bhaal to keep with the Dark Urge arc. I used no mods on him, but his eyes do glitch out occasionally-

I wanna talk about my current D&D character/campaign because I love it!

So, for context, here's a quick little blurb about my boy

Alastair Drakos had a very traumatic life (because always gotta make 'em spicy) and has now found himself stuck with a band of apparently item-hungry dumbasses (lovingly, but they pretty much have all spent all of their money, we are lvl 6...). He's 20, 6'3 but wears boots with a hidden extra inch heel to make him 6'5. He is a gunslinger-rogue class so I had to make him a cowboy, obviously, but I did accidently make a really op class of rogue... Black hair that's wavy, almost shoulder length, and green eyes. (His main visual ref is Foolish for all you ex-DSMP/currently QSMP watchers, or just Foolish enjoyers) He's lanky, and accidentally pretty built from working on farms most of his life. (I had to make him a little buff after he, multiple times, strength checked one of our fighters...) He is currently dating what was our human-undead (weird thing for later-) paladin, but now he's been resurrected as an Aasimar by his goddess, but my boy might fuck it up by multi-classing as a warlock-

Our party is currently:

Half-Elf Gunslinger (classic fighter build, going sniper route, also affair baby)

Human but technically Warforged Gunslinger-Artificer (my best friend's previous campaign character... sorta, anger issues)

Half-Elf Rogue-Build-Gunslinger (my boy, he's really fucking traumatized- cowboy)

Aasimar Paladin (my boy's boyfriend <3, Jesus)

High Elf Witch (Literally named after Hindu Goddess, Shiva, and lives up to it. Likes bones a little too much)

I may add more to this later, but current plot points for my character:

-Find his kidnapped, hopefully still alive, little sister

-Help his boyfriend with his current plot arc

-Possibly become a warlock (it makes a shit ton of sense with his backstory...)

I don't want to put all the details of my character as I do have friends that use tumblr, but here's my lil character page.

Also, if anyone wants world building ideas just use the asks because I am always down to help with world building!

Playing DnD and one of my friends is playing a 7'0 tall tiefling cryptid and I'm playing a 6'3, 6'5 in boots, half-elf cowboy and they are hate flirting literally everyday and it's the best thing ever.

My cowboy makes a snarky comment, he gets mad and throws a chair (upsetting my best friend's character along the way.) His cryptid boy takes off his cow skull mask, revealing ✨️sexy✨️ tiefling, my cowboy says "eh, slept with better looking men"

Them and our friend's gunslinger just went around and shared their ideas of whether or not they would sleep with the rest of the group....

Tiefling said "the only thing rising with Alastair (my cowboy) is my blood pressure" so my boy of course said "maybe you'll have a heart attack the more I'm around you"

Gunslinger has asked why they don't f*ck already.
