Moral of the story kids; it's not gambling if you eventually get the current HSR jesus before they get powercrept by another character in 10 more patches. Money is fleeting, but finally playing as a boss to fight other bosses and crushing them with your ULT is forever.

In my case, I already had been planning to spend actual money for the 3.4 and 3.6 patch and gave myself a budget on how much I'll be spending in total. Phainon wasn't the character I wanted but I thought, hey since the gacha gods ended up sending me Bronya, why not pull for him for fun?

no one would ever think to associate the term “fuck boy” to the heart of gold that is isagi yoichi. the blue eyed ravenette comes across as such a sweetheart when people first meet him. a bit hardheaded if you really know him, but a sweetheart, nonetheless. there's so much passion and drive behind his eyes that it's charming— alluring to the hopeless romantic type for the fact that they like to daydream about what could be. anyone could get lost in a fantasy about being swept off their feet by a pretty face like isagi, he makes it effortless really. golden retriever energy is what you would call it. it's why he's so popular with women, he comes across as this boy next door who’s so willing to do anything to achieve a goal he has set in his heart. that's the image he's painted for himself in the public eye, and not that it's inaccurate: it just simply doesn't translate well into his love life.

one of his issues is... isagi doesn't realize just how attractive he is. as it's been said before, he's himbo adjacent. the attention he gets... he sums it up as getting “lucky.” his friendliness can be perceived as flirting, even more so that he doesn't take into account that he's one of the hottest players in the blue lock program. his gorgeous face and his athletic but lean physique make him physically attractive but it's also the mannerisms he possesses as well. little things like being the type to place a gentle hand on the small of your back if he's trying to walk past you in a crowded area. a polite “excuse me, I'm sorry.” leave his lips and the prettiest smile when you two make eye contact lingers just a second too long. or the crease between his brows when he's frustrated or tired— running both hands through his hair which exposes his forehead. it.

he never intends to, but he can't help but to well... get cold feet after the climax of one of his newfound “flings.” once the initial excitement has passed, it's not as appealing for him anymore but there's a reason for this. it's his post nut clarity that gets him every time. that immediate clear mindedness or soberness a guy gains after blowing his load. lying in bed with a girl as she talks about their future— the pillow talk goes well until the plans she proposes clash with his career. isagi has a tendency to equate entertaining the thought of a relationship as him putting priority towards just that, and not his real passion. it's just that isagi is at a point in his career where... nothing will ever amount to how important his job is to him. he's dedicated so much time and effort to get to the point where he is now. its time consuming and mind plaguing, it's the long-lasting effects that blue lock has had on him throughout the years. it's built an insane work ethic and need to crave more. nothing can or will get in the way of him and his vision. it's a curse all athletes have and unfortunately isagi yoichi, our sweet mc, is not an exception. it probably affects him the worse, really.

these girls he gets involved with always seem to have a trend of leaving feminine items in his gym bag. thongs, bras, hair scrunchies and even jewelry in hopes of isagi returning them. some girls do it for his attention and others do it because they want to plant this seed that isagi is “seeing” them. the paparazzi can catch anything and will often seek for certain shots if they're tipped off.

it's kind of funny because out of everyone, raichi is the one who discovers isagi is a bit of a whore. it's a regular day at practice when all the boys were in the locker room getting themselves situated before hitting the field. isagi is sitting on the bench when he pulls out his cleats, and in the process a hot pink thong falls on the floor beside raichi's feet where he foot only a couple feet away. of course, blondie gives isagi a hard time about it.

“tch, you still seein' that one brunette, huh? she your girl yet?” raichi picks up the pair of panties, leaning against the locker with a smug smile twirling the skimpy garment around his pointer finger before sling shotting it back to isagi.

“hah.. no.” isagi lets out a small, breathy chuckle as he catches the underwear. he's a little embarrassed but it's nothing he's not used to. “i met someone else. she's a sweet girl though.”

“the hell are you talkin' about? you were just screwing this other chick last monday.” raichi raises a brow as he straightens his posture, only now realizing why isagi never said a specific name. it's because they were all different girls. ha, that's rich.

“ah.. well yeah.” isagi gives a shy smile, scratching the back of his neck before he shoves the panties back into his bag, in a smaller and more discreet pocket. raichi only shakes his head before turning around back to his locker.

“it's always the humble ones.” raichi mumbles to himself.

yoichi finds himself puzzled at how often these kinds of things end up in his possession at the most inconvenient times but he never thinks too deeply about it. his indifference to the situation makes them want to chase him even harder. do even more outlandish things to get his attention when his tunnel vision is impossible to break.

he routinely goes to the gym after these one-night stands. it’s like a detox but for his mind, cleansing it of all the diluted thoughts that fogged his vision. it's almost like his own form of meditation.

there’s something so hot about isagi working out after a hookup. it's the post sex glow he has, the thin layer of sweat on his body, the determined look in his eye as he pushes himself past his usual limits. his cock is semi hard in his sweats from his endorphins, creating a prominent print under the gym's harsh lighting. he feels like a brand-new man after. refreshed and ready for the next fight on the field.

isagi is sweet! he really is! he doesn't like making girls cry. but he can't help that he's awful at texting back or returning calls. yoichi just forgets, getting too caught up in practice, games and press conferences.

it won't be like this forever though. i believe this version of isagi is the kind of guy to realize he's fallen in love with his childhood best friend. isagi is known to be extremely loyal so any relationships that have already been established are taken quite seriously by him. you were that sweet girl who lived next door to him for years. you always had cute band aids for when he scraped his knees and yummy snack to share after school. you weren't very athletic, but you always cheered for him even during his loses. you were also one of his biggest support systems when he was going through the blue lock programs. you've always been an anchor in his life and it's something he doesn't realize until you two lose contact for a couple years.

it's funny how things work out too because it just so happens that you two visit home around the same time. when he sees you in your mother's flower garden you had only gotten prettier. you're wearing a flowy sundress and a sunhat; he thinks it's so cute— refreshing to see in contrast to the girls that usually approach him. there's a moment where you finally lock eyes with him, and it makes his tummy drop.

and he realizes he's in love.

Isagi coddles you too much. He feeds in your delusions, mostly by accident, because he apprehends the awkward moment where he breaks you from within. He keeps the harsh truth unbeknownst to you, he wrongfully thinks white lies are for the best. Sometimes reality hits anyways, and someone tells you with authenticity what's wrong with you. It hurts harder, because you’ve always had these extraneous walls protecting you.

Reo thinks materialistic love can make up for anything. He makes mistakes, just like everyone does, but he never really apologizes. He just sends you an impersonal gift, thinking it’ll make you forget.

He’s not always as present as you’d like him to be, but he defends himself saying he provides everything you could wish for. Except sometimes love cannot be touched. 

Rin doesn’t realize he has an impact on you. He’s so focused on himself, he forgets his harsh words or dirty looks mean something to others. It’s like he forgets interactions go beyond time. He doesn't understand why get so caught up over something he did. “Why does he matters to you that much ?” He won’t accept that he is now part of someone else’s everyday life.

Shidou pushes your buttons on purpose. When you fight, he does and says exactly what he knows will make you out of your mind. He considers that the one that gets the loudest ‘lost’, so he will make it happen. That’s also his way of taking out his anger, making you the maddest possible. He will cross lines to make you sad or angry. He doesn't know where to stop, it's kinda immature.

Sae lowers your self-esteem with how better he is than you. You know that he surpasses you at everything, it’s almost ridiculous. Looks, intellect, strength, sociability. You’re just constantly reminded that everyone will love him better. His ego stops him from denying it or comforting you. Deep down, he likes feeling superior.

Bachira can be judgy. He has this look that makes you feel so stupid. When he doesn’t approve of something, you’ll just know. Because he thinks he has the singular right answer for everything. Sometimes you feel like you should not be entirely yourself, because he’ll have something to object to. 

Kunigami is not the same in group settings as he is when alone with you. When he’s with his friends, it’s like he changes from a less thoughtful, caring person, to a sneery, detached individual. He probably doesn't do it on purpose, but it makes you feel so dumb and belittled.

Otoya is not as involved as you. He cares so little for your relationship, especially compared to you. He acts detached, is passive and sometimes even has the nerve to refuse plans you offer. If you didn’t do anything, your relationship would probably melt off instantly. It’s like he doesn't value your love to its true significance. 

Kaiser gaslights you. He hates arguments and he hates being wrong. So if you even mention the possibility of him fucking up, he will completely turn it around to make you the bad guy.  And if he does apologize, you know it comes with guilt tripping and unfulfilled promises. It’s like he cannot admit his mistakes, but on top of that, he blames it on you.

In your haste, you don't realise when your hands find his for support. Once you explain the reason, the initial blush on his face deepens.

"Ah... W-Well, since the Great Mammon is kind, he'll allow ya weak human to cling to me. Remember to thank me properly later by paying Grimm hahahahha."

His laughter masks the beating of his heart. Being accustomed to taking care of children, he has learned to help others cross the road while also making sure they're not anxious by indulging them in meaningless banter. Be assured that you won't even notice when your feet land on the pavement while he clasps your hand tightly as a promise to never let go.

SATAN

His eyes widen but no complaint passes his lips. He marvels at how well your hand fits in his and being the gentleman who's always eager to please you, he steps forward and offers his services in escorting you across the road. Don't worry! You're in elite hands for he leads a queue of stray cats across that road every day before returning home from RAD. He has been doing it for centuries. So, follow his lead. Being a follower of rules, he waits for the vehicles to stop before pulling you with him gently.

"You looked so cute trying to concentrate on the road. A little clueless perhaps but that's how most of the cats I help look like so I can't say I mind. Damnit I wish I had pictures of your expression..."

ASMODEUS

Asmo smiles to himself and holds your hand firmly. Despite hardly being able to contain his giddiness, he doesn't speak until you've successfully crossed the road. An onlooker will think that you are the one guiding him because of how his eyes are fixed on your intertwined fingers instead of the road. Once on the other side, he squeals in delight and doesn't let go.

"Oh, [Name], how daring of you to catch me off-guard and hold my hand! You've been getting bold lately, you charming sweetheart~"

BARBATOS

The demon can open a portal to end your misery but he's so charmed by your touch that he maintains his silence. He's usually the one to lead but in that moment, he feels curious about your next move. The connection of your hands is for comfort and both of you feel it intensely. When you reach the other side, he smiles gently at you and tightens his grip on your hand and speaks to you in a teasing tone.

"Oh my. I didn't know you were brave enough to hold my hand in broad daylight. Were you perhaps craving my attention? Then, I shall give it to you. I'm proud of you for crossing the road on your own. But if you ever need company, I shall forever be by your side."

MEPHISTOPHELES

He sighs to himself when you lace your fingers together with his before realising that your entire attention is on the road. His expression softens because you look like a serious child so he can't help smiling a little. A carefree expression is soothing and he's not impervious to it, especially when it's you. Overtaking you, he checks the traffic before safely arriving at the other side with you.

"It'll be troublesome if I get the human exchange student involved in an accident on my watch. Remember to learn how to cross a road because I won't be here always."

After you accidentally fall asleep in the living room, Lucifer approaches you quietly, covering you with his coat and softly placing a kiss on your cheek. Lucifer finds your sleeping face soothing. He could admire you forever.

Mammon can't stand you hanging around others so much at RAD. It's clear they're interested in you, but you keep insisting on giving them the time of the day. And by now, it should be clear to everyone that you're his and only his. Before going back to the House of Lamentation, Mammon shyly kisses your cheek. He loves you dearly and wants you to pay more attention to him from now on.

You're the best friend an otaku could have. Leviathan loves talking, playing video games, and watching anime with you. To be more specific, he loves spending time with you in general. Your presence brings him a sense of peace and acceptance, something that he would never say to your face. After finally clearing a pretty hard level, Levi excitedly kisses your cheek. He panics and goes completely red after noticing what he just did.

It was a beautiful day outside, and Satan invited you to go on a walk searching for cats with him. Satan loves talking to you throughout the way, regardless of the subject. When is Asmo not kissing you? Well, anyways... If you're studying, Asmodeus sneaks behind you and places a soft kiss on your cheek. Beel loves you so much, and sometimes he doesn't know how to put his feelings into words. When this happens, he tells you how much he and his brothers appreciate you and makes small loving gestures, such as holding your hand or asking for a hug. Making you join the Student Council was one of the best things Diavolo has ever done. This way, he could spend a little more time with you. He loved hearing your opinions as a human, and how your voice sounded was enough to give him the motivation to finish his work. Once no one else is around, he excitedly kisses your cheek when you're expecting the least.

barbatos

Barbatos was used to tending the Hell's Garden by himself, but having you around to keep him some company made everything much better. It was nice seeing how you reacted to seeing different Devildom flowers for the first time. After all, your curiosity never failed to amuse him. He couldn't help but give you a small peck on the cheek.

simeon

After spending the whole day helping Simeon look after Luke (and Solomon, grandpa is unhinged), Simeon goes to prepare some tea while you rest in the living room, accidentally falling asleep. Once he's back, Simeon admires how peaceful you are. Simeon places a gentle kiss on your cheek. He'll let you rest for a little longer.

No matter how powerful Solomon is, he'll never get tired of asking you to join or help him with his magic experiments. He adores having you around and sharing his knowledge with the human he loves the most, especially when potions, curses, and spells are involved. Joining Luke in his baking classes with Master Barbatos was one of the best things you could have done. Besides spending time with them and entertaining yourself by watching their father-son dynamic, you also got to eat delicious sweets baked by them, isn't it heavenly? Luke excitedly places a small kiss on your and Barbatos' cheek. After all, dogs and kids love to spend time with their families.

Everything was an accident, and it wasn't even your fault, but Thirteen was so mad! How come you were walking by when she was trying to kill Solomon for the 5th time today? Can't you see where you're going? Now your faces are too close and- Watching Thirteen turn into a blushing mess was fun, but now you'll have to worry about running away and staying alive.

You challenged Mephistopheles to kiss you in exchange for some funny photos of Lucifer. It was possible to see the blood rushing to his face, though it was hard to tell if this was happening because he was angry or embarrassed (maybe both?). He quickly kissed your cheek and tried his best to fake a disgusting expression afterward.

Solomon cooked something *special* and gave it to you as a gift, isn't it wonderful? After you stared at it with a soulless expression for 10 minutes, Raphael's stomach grumbled. The angel wanted a bite of whatever Solomon created, and you offered it to him. Though Raphael is not very expressive, he was pretty happy about the meal and placed a gentle kiss on your cheek as thanks.

Solomon stood under the pavilion, heart racing. This was where your energy had been the strongest.

So where in the damned three realms were you?

Pale strands of hair stuck to his forehead, wet with perspiration. His palms felt cold, and residual adrenaline coursed through his veins as the wind blew past, as if mocking him with airy whispers of defeat. He cursed, stomping his foot on the ground and glaring down at the cobblestone path.

The sorcerer turned around to tell the others that he'd come to a dead end, but he found an empty garden. The entire entourage of demons that had been following him was nowhere to be found. What was stranger, was that several stone fountains that he had been sure he'd run by earlier were no longer there.

He squinted over the ornate fencing to find the palace guards in their demon forms. Huh, that was strange. Ever since the exchange program had started, all royal staff had been required to shift into human forms to help you adjust to the Devildom. So why was everyone walking around with their horns and tails out on full display?

Solomon retraced his path back towards the Castle, hoping to deliver news about the false alarm to the demon brothers and Lord Diavolo, when he heard several voices.

"I hereby appoint you as the seven demon brother's attendant!" boomed the loud and recognizable voice of Lord Diavolo.

Attendant?

He rushed towards the council hall, and burst through the doors to find everyone except for Satan present in the room, in their demon forms.

"Well, well, well, to what do I owe the pleasure, Solomon?" Lord Diavolo smiled down at him, arms folded.

Solomon scanned the room and found you standing next to Barbatos, a little dazed, but otherwise unharmed. He could feel all the warmth returning to his face as he sighed in relief. He'd found you.

"It looks like you've found my adorable apprentice." Solomon chuckled, and his heart leapt when your face lifted at the sound of his voice. Oh, the hope that filled your eyes when you spotted him!

"Solomon!" you exclaimed in that sweet, sweet voice of yours. The sorcerer could feel a giddy warmth dancing inside his chest.

"So you are acquainted with MC, yes? Then I shall make accomodations for both of you to stay at Cocytus Hall!" Lord Diavolo had a large smile on his face. The prince turned to you, patting you on the back. "I wish you good luck, MC. I know you will do an amazing job."

Solomon nearly snorted when he saw the look on Lucifer's face. The Avatar of Pride had a sort of half-sneer, half-frown, but overall it made him look like he had just inhaled pepper. Once the brothers had left for the House of Lamentation, the sorcerer took quick strides, clearing the distance between the two of you.

"Thank goodness you're here, Solomon. I had no idea what I was going to do if you hadn't come for me." You wrapped your arms around him tightly, and for a moment, Solomon relishes in the feeling.

"And I'm very relieved I found you. We were all so worried when you disappeared, you know." Solomon holds you gently by the arms, brushing his thumbs over your skin to ground the fact that it was really you.

"Yeah…about that. Are we in the past?"

"Several centuries, yes. I traced your energy and followed you back in time here."

"…My pacts are gone."

Solomon's eyes widened. He held you back, inspecting your arms and neck for the few of the demon brothers' pacts that used to be visible. His breath catches when he notices the lack of markings, and he pulls you into his arms. "Oh, MC…I'm so sorry."

You, however, didn't seem to be phased. "It's alright! I'll just have to get close to the brothers again as their attendant and make pacts with them. That should solve the problem, I think."

"You know, I really admire how you can stay optimistic in a situation like this."

"Well, I am happy because of something else."

"What?"

"We get to live together! Like a crazy married couple!"

Solomon's words die in his throat, as the gravity of the situation finally settles on his shoulders, and hope threatens to fill his entire being. The demon brothers had no clue who you were in this timeline.

…Was it true?

Would he finally get a chance to have you to himself?

An ecstatic smile makes its way onto Solomon's face as he squeezes your hands in his, and you give him a goofy grin in return. "Well? What are we waiting for? Onward, to Cocytus Hall!"

The sorcerer's heart races as the two of you walk to the residence hand in hand.

But he does not know if it is solely from the joy of getting to live with you, or something more vaguely sinister yet to come.
