Sometimes talking to friends when having ADHD is difficult. I've caught myself interrupting people the past few days and I hate it because I can't stop it. I feel like after I've interrupted people multiple times and even apologised for it they shape a negative first impression of me.

I am criticised for talking, I am criticised for not talking. I am tired changing myself with the excuse that I annoy others. I want to be myself without judgement.

Just to make something clear. ADHD is a different process of thinking. I am sick and tired of people trying to fix us or making us feel like we need to be fixed. I am sick and tired of people shouting at us because we forget things or because we do stuff differently. Have you ever asked ADHD people how bad they feel when they interrupt but cannot control it or when they speak without thinking sometimes and cause trouble? We feel guilty everyday and overanalyze it and then get depressed or we dissociate from the world.
We are not sensitive we are just overwhelmed sometimes and we have to cry to get our frustrations out. Even though I am covering only ADHD since I have had experiences with it, please respect neurodiversity in general and try to support people instead of indicating what they should do or judging them.

I was returning home with a taxi after doing my grocery shopping. We had just arrived at the destination and the taxi driver asked me if I was going back for Christmas. My answer was no and he replied that it will be boring here without any pubs or bars open. I have never felt more alone or sad in my entire life knowing that I can't celebrate Christmas with my family and friends.
