Contact Your Electors
The Appeal
In order to: Establish Justice. Insure Domestic Tranquility. Provide for the Common Defense. Promote General Welfare. Secure the Blessings of Liberty.
We the People of the United States of America reject Trump.
We ask the Electoral College to vote against Donald Trump. It is their constitutional duty, as our last line of protection, to defend us from a rising authoritarian who has placed a white supremacist in his inner circle.
Trump not only threatens our union, but the stability and safety of our neighbors, friends, and family. He has shown himself to ally himself with racists, sexists, homophobes, nationalists, anti-semites, and Islamophobes.
In the same way that Germany, Italy, and Spain fell into fascism after economic crisis, we are at risk of falling for a “charismatic leader” that has empowered people to act with hate.
Trump lost the popular vote by TWO MILLION people. He does not have a mandate, and is profoundly unfit for the presidency. Trump threatens our very union by maintaining policies that will defund our education system. Moreover, Trump’s international business deals, and refusal to sell his company, violates the constitution. Specialists and academics fear that there was tampering in the election. We must protect democracy.
This is a nation that was founded on liberty. This is a nation that thrives on a multitude of voices. Our nation protects the poor and huddled masses.
Out of many, we are one—united against absolute despotism. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
We will not go quietly into the night.

Yvonne Craig: A pioneer of women’s representation in the super-hero world
Today, Yyvone Craig, best known for originating the Barbara Gordon/Batgirl character in the 1960s, passed away due to complications from breast cancer. She was 78.
I met Craig once at a comic book convention in Austin. She was kind and generous with her time. When I met her, she was sitting at a table chatting with Noel Neill (Lois Lane from the 1940s Superman film serials/tv show). I was a shy teenager who could do nothing but stand in awe of two actors who towered in my imagination.

What she means: Why was Beast Boy's origin never fully explored in Teen Titans? And for that matter, what is the actual extent/true nature of his powers? Is he just a particularly-skilled shape shifter who favors the forms of various types of earthly wildlife, or is he actually somehow restricted to only taking the forms of animals that he's seen? And if the latter is the case, how is it that he's able to transform into a tyrannosaur? Has he seen one before? How old is he? Is he even mortal? Does he even age? I need to know
