April Goals – 2019 version

A year, it’s been almost a year since I last posted here. A big year, with great changes and so many ups and downs that I don’t even know where to start.

I moved to a new town, started my own business, finally overcame depression, discovered I am a highly sensitive person. It was a very big year, as you can imagine, and it was very difficult for me to find the time to spend on this blog.

But what I really struggled with was not finding my niche, I must confess.

From the very beginning, when I started my first blog I intermitently felt as a copycat. Mimicking the blogs I loved the most at that moment and posting about the topics they did.

But now, a few months without having any contact with the blogosphere later, I feel ready at last. It’s the time for me to shine, on my own terms.

So, here I am again, starting from scratch for the second time, one April later, as if nothing had happened. And determined to make this blog what it should have been from the very beginning: Our safe place.

You may be asking to yourself “What the heck does she mean by safe place?”. Easy: I want this blog to be a place where we can be ourselves without any judgments. A place where we can share our concerns and joys. A place where mutual respect and support are the only rules.

Does it sound good to you? For me, sure it does

But hey, let’s focuss on the post’s subject for now and talk about goals.

I might say I am a goal addict. I loooove setting them: Every year, every month, every week, even every day. Setting my goals and working as hard as I can to achieve them is some kind of passion.

That’s why I want to keep this section going on and why I want to continue sharing here my monthly goals. Partly because I want to inspire you, but also because it ends up being a huge motivation for me.

As it turns outs, using this section as some sort of “goals diary” helps me keeping track of them and avoid getting lost in the daily whirlpool.

My 4 goals for this month:

This month I choose to focuss on goals not work-related. Because this past months were all about my business and growing it. And I want to focuss on me and my wellness.

I want to spend time at the park, enjoying the sunshine, and read just for fun, and work on this blog while I let my creativity loose. This spring I want to indulge myself.

Mis metas para este Abril – Versión 2019

Un año, ha pasado casi un año entero desde la última vez que publiqué por aquí. Un gran año, con grandes cambios y tantos altibajos que no tengo ni idea de por dónde empezar.

Me mudé a una nueva ciudad, emprendí, superé (por fin) la depresión, descubrí que soy una Persona Altamente Sensible. Supongo que ya te habrás dado cuenta de que sí, fue un año muy intenso y me costó encontrar el tiempo para dedicarle a este blog.

Aunque debo confesar que con lo que más me he peleado fue con la búsqueda de mi nicho.

Desde que empecé a escribir en mi primer blog cada cierto tiempo me sentía como una copia barata de los blogs que más me gustaban en ese momento y publicando sobre los temas que ellos trataban.

Pero ahora, después de varios meses sin contacto alguno con la blogosfera después, me siento preparada por fin. Es mi momento de brillar, bajo mis propias reglas.

Así que aquí estoy, empezando de cero por segunda vez, un abril después, como si nada hubiera pasado. Y decidida a hacer de este blog lo que debería haber sido desde su inicio: Nuestro lugar seguro.

Ahora estarás pensado “¿Qué narices quiere decir con esto de lugar seguro?”. Fácil: Quiero que este blog sea un sitio donde todos podamos ser nosotros mismos libres de prejuicios. Un lugar donde podamos compartir nuestras penas y alegrías. Un lugar donde el respeto mutuo y el apoyo son las únicas reglas.

¿Suena bien? A mí seguro que sí :). Pero oye, centrémonos por ahora en la temática de este artículo y hablemos de metas.

Se puede decir que soy una adicta a las metas. Me encanta establecerlas: Cada año, cada mes, cada semana, incluso cada día. Se podría decir que decidir mis metas y trabajar duro para conseguirlas se ha convertido en una pasión.

Por esta razón es por la que quiero seguir escribiendo esta sección y compartir con vosotros mis metas cada mes. En parte porque me encantaría ser una fuente de inspiración, pero también porque termina por convertirse en mi gran motivación.

Resulta que al final, usar esta sección como un tipo de “diario de metas” me ayuda a seguirles la pista y evitar perderme en la vorágine diaria.

Mis 4 metas para este mes:

Este mes he decidido centrarme en metas no relacionadas con el trabajo. Porque los últimos meses han estado demasiado enfocados en mi negocio y su crecimiento. Y ahora mismo quiero enfocarme en mí y mi bienestar.

Quiero pasar tiempo en el parque, disfrutando del calor del sol, y leer por diversión, y trabajar en este blog mientras dejo suelta mi creatividad. Esta primavera quiero mimarme.
