Aphrodite represents love in all its beautiful forms. This blog is my way of staying connected to her. Run by a LGBT+ nonbinary eclectic witch. Look up #dtatarotmp for the tarot spreads I offer.

I wanna live in a little quaint cottage that backs up to a big old forest full of birds and deer and mystery and i want to dry my laundry outside when its sunny and tend to my garden when its foggy and sit inside by the fire and write when its rainy

🌊🕊self care offerings🍎🐚
Retyping this because i accidentally deleted my first draft…. but here it is!
So i was scrolling and looking up more ways/things to offer my patron Aphrodite. Then suddenly, it hit me.
If we have trouble loving ourselves or completing certain goals/tasks, if we dont have enough energy or motivation for them, why dont we do it for Them instead?
I hope this makes some sort of sense.. at first i was gonna make this post solely for offerings to Aphrodite, but i felt this could go for many of the Gods!!
For example,
Having trouble finding the courage to stand up for yourself/others at times? Do it for Persephone, Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Aphrodite, etc.
Have no energy to apply for a job, or feel like you wont be good enough for one, maybe even no energy to work? Find courage in doing it for Hermes.
Scared to ask out your crush because of some obstacles or that they wont like you back? Do it for Hades.
Dont feel like youre a “good” witch? (no such thing; all witches are great but this is also a remedy for that feeling) Realize that you are, for Hecate or Circe.
Afraid of telling your significant that something they do bothers you? Do it for Hera.
No energy to go out or do anything? Try to do it for Apollo.
Scared to wear that cute outfit, or not feeling too hot about yourself? Love yourself for Aphrodite!
These are only a few examples. If you guys would like me to make separate posts or a masterpost for specific deities, please send me an ask or message me! But i figured this may make it easier to get by.

Lessons from the Gods
These are personal lessons I have learned while interacting with individual gods that I thought could be helpful lessons to others as well
Zeus- One’s past mistakes should not influence their present chances, within reason.
Hera- It is alright to not be a perfect mother and you shouldn’t try hiding any postpartum. It is better to admit the fear, pain, and bad thoughts and get help than to let them fester.
Hephaestus- Beauty belongs to those who stand tall despite what others say… Focus on what you can do and not what you can’t. Please yourself not others
Apollon- There’s a “beast” in each of us that we must face daily and you won’t always win, but you should keep fighting anyways.
Artemis- “Roles” are just loose guidelines that one should not take seriously. Do you. Always do you
Persephone- Your story will change with each new mouth that speaks it. Don’t let it bother you. You know the truth and those who matter will know the truth. That is what is important
Hermes- You can be extremely childish and act dumb all you want and still be extremely smart, cunning, and mature when the situation calls for it
Nyx- Elegance and grace does not come naturally to everyone and if it doesn’t for you but you still wish to cultivate it do not give it up.
Hestia- Spoiling others for no real reason makes you feel so much happier.
Aphrodite- Whatever makes you feel beautiful is alright. If you feel beautiful covered in makeup wonderful. If you feel beautiful all natural, wonderful. If you feel beautiful with mud on your face.. Guess what? That’s wonderful. Real beauty shines through when you feel happy in your skins, no matter what covers it.
Hades- Doom and gloom is fun. Doom and gloom does not spell evil. Take pride in your personal doom and gloom. ((I like watching creepy stuff in the middle of the night and can’t fall asleep without a good ghost video playing and that’s awesome))
Athena- there is always more to learn and asking questions, no matter how “silly” or “stupid” they feel, is not something to apologize for.
Thanatos- Being death positive is a good thing. We shouldn’t fear the most natural of things. Yes it is hard to imagine being gone from this world, but it is better to embrace it now and have things planned then to leave your loved ones with nothing to go on. Own your mortality and make it amazing while you can
Morpheus- Dreams don’t have to end when you open your eyes, you just have to keep working for them.

reblog if you agree that people should not use the Gods as an excuse to spread hate.
ive seen way too mch of this on tumblr- people using Aphrodite’s name to support their TERF bullshit. Way too many people using the Gods to justify their nasty hatred for others. TERFs have no place in our community.

Unpopular Opinion: Aphrodite Can Be Anything. At any time. To anyone.
Because beauty isn’t limited to one perspective. It certainly isn’t limited by any mortal eye or mind.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Beauty morphs and manifests in every way imaginable.
And so Aphrodite is trans. Aphrodite is a lesbian. Aphrodite is gay. Aphrodite is bisexual and Aphrodite is even found in asexual platonic relationships because friendship is also a thing of beauty. Aphrodite is black. Aphrodite is Asian. Aphrodite is Mexican and Syrian and Australian and Norwegian.
And Aphrodite is Greek.
But the core of Aphrodite is beauty and love which, at it’s core, holds no one face. But all faces and all body types and all genders and all ethnicities and all sexual identifications.

Made a sigil using the shapes method. I’m not a huge fan, seems way too complicated. Maybe it’s a complicated sigil to a complicated problem? Who knows

Aphrodite 💕
Aphrodite loves ALL kinds of love. You and your boyfriend are still in your cute holding hands stage? Talk to her about it, young love is beautiful! Crushing on that girl in your class? Aphrodite understands, but you got this baby. Polyam folks working on living in a not-always-so-accepting world? Aphrodite is about love, and she understands having a heart too big to not share. Love your best friend platonically? That’s still love, it doesn’t have to be romantic or sexual to interest her.
❤️Love ❤️ is ❤️ beautiful ❤️
