James favorite time of day is right before bedtime, when Regulus will crawl into his lap and run his fingers through his hair and speak about anything and everything without fear of speaking too much. James sits silently and listens, randomly placing kisses here and there because he simply just can't get enough of Regulus, and he always takes notice to the goosebumps that he leaves to Regulus' skin after a soft touch of lips or the blush that he leaves on his cheeks or the way Regulus will stop speaking to focus on James kissing him before proceeding on his ramblings. The second Regulus falls silent, done with all the things he feels the need to say, James will kiss him all over until Regulus is laughing and pushing him away, telling James it's time for bed.

She was the strength he found in himself when didn’t think he could get back up but managed to anyway. She was what kept him fighting, the part of him that didn’t give up until his last breath.

Evan was the calm within the chaos, his anchor from the madness that threatened to swallow him whole. Evan was the steady hand that pulled him up when he was beaten down, the solace in his darkest moments, his peace when it all came to an end. Evan was the reassurance he felt when he questioned his worth and his capabilities to follow out his plans.

Each of his friends made up the best parts of Regulus, they were all with him in his darkest hour, when he finally met his bitter end. Regulus had carried parts of them with him with every step he made. They were with him when he took his final breath in the cave that wasn’t air at all but water that was filling up his lungs and drowning him. They were with him until his last moment, and he wished he’d told them just how much they meant to him before he died, how much he loved them. He doesn’t think he ever said the words out loud to any of them, and it was one of his greatest regret.

YES. i am a strong believer of the fact we are shaped by the people we met, and sirius and regulus are so much affected by that. They have both are shaped firstly by their family then by their friends, AND THEY ARE ALSO SHAPED BY EACH OTHER ( black brothers angst my favorite thing ever )

James is the sun and Regulus is Icarus. A lot of people seem to think that it was the sun that killed him. Truely, Regulus would have preferred it but no. The sun didn’t kill him. Regulus grew too curious, flying higher and higher, closer and closer. His wings melted and he fell with no one to catch his fall. Nothing but the deep blue ocean. He passed out on impact, sinking deep into its depthless depths. Drowning slowly without even a glimpse of the shining sun that he so adored.

It wasn’t the sun that killed him. No, it never was. It was the water.

Voldemort is the water and Regulus was born drowning.
