Simon blinks at you as you stand over his bed, its the middle of the night when you had a nightmare. All you wanted to do was be near Simon. He gave you a sense of comfort and safety.

"I had a nightmare," You tell him as you squint in the dark, trying to make out more than just his face.

"You came in here at 4am because you had a nightmare," He starts as you put out your hand in a grabby motion. "And you want cuddles."

Your hands fall to your sides and you look down feeling a bit of defeat at the signs of rejection. Simon sighs and lifts his blanket up, inviting you under them right next to him.

You giggle a little as you excitedly lay in the bed next to him. As you snuggle closer in the bed Simon puts his arm around you and pulls you closer. You cuddle into him being engulfed by warmth you sigh finally being able to settle down after you nightmare.

"You're always welcome," He says, then adds "I'll always keep you safe."

Moments after that last word was uttered your breathing evens out and you fall asleep, leaving Simon awake with a soft smile.

and i can't see his face, i can never see his face but sometimes i know he's smiling.

it's even worse when he plays a big part in the event i'm dreaming of, the most recent one is sitting in the middle of a dorm building? and he's sitting next to me on a piano bench and we're playing piano but he never looks at me here

he won't. anytime he's with me he never looks at me. yet it's like being loved??? why does it make my chest warm when he won't even look at me and when he does he's not near me?

and then i wake up and i just feel empty. like i've lost something
